1Kaj David eldiris antaux la Eternulo la vortojn de la sekvanta kanto, kiam la Eternulo lin savis el la manoj de cxiuj liaj malamikoj kaj el la mano de Saul.
1And David speaketh to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah hath delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
2Li diris: La Eternulo estas mia Roko, kaj mia fortikajxo, kaj mia Savanto.
2and he saith: `Jehovah [is] my rock, And my bulwark, and a deliverer to me,
3Dion, mian Rokon, mi fidas; Mia sxildo, kaj la korno de mia savo, mia fortigo, kaj mia rifugxejo; Mia Savanto, kiu helpas min kontraux maljusteco.
3My God [is] my rock — I take refuge in Him; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, My high tower, and my refuge! My Saviour, from violence Thou savest me!
4Mi vokas al la Eternulo, la glorinda; Kaj mi savigxas de miaj malamikoj.
4The Praised One, I call Jehovah: And from mine enemies I am saved.
5CXar cxirkauxis min la ondoj de la morto, Torentoj pereigaj min teruris;
5When the breakers of death compassed me, The streams of the worthless terrify me,
6La sxnuroj de SXeol min cxirkauxis; La retoj de la morto min atingis.
6The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been the snares of death.
7En mia premiteco mi vokis la Eternulon, Kaj al mia Dio mi vokis; Kaj el Sia templo Li auxdis mian vocxon, Kaj mia krio atingis Liajn orelojn.
7In mine adversity I call Jehovah, And unto my God I call, And He heareth from His temple my voice, And my cry [is] in His ears,
8Ektremis kaj ekskuigxis la tero, La fundamentoj de la cxielo ekmovigxis Kaj eksxanceligxis, cxar Li koleris.
8And shake and tremble doth the earth, Foundations of the heavens are troubled, And are shaken, for He hath wrath!
9Levigxis fumo el Lia nazo, Kaj ekstermanta fajro el Lia busxo; Karboj ekflamis de gxi.
9Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils. And fire from His mouth devoureth, Brands have been kindled by it.
10Li klinis la cxielon kaj iris malsupren, Kaj densa mallumo estis sub Liaj piedoj.
10And He inclineth heaven, and cometh down, And thick darkness [is] under His feet.
11Kaj Li ekrajdis sur kerubo kaj ekflugis, Kaj Li portigxis sur la flugiloj de la vento.
11And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And is seen on the wings of the wind.
12Li cxirkauxigis Sin per mallumo kiel per tendo, Per densaj nuboj, plenaj de akvo.
12And He setteth darkness Round about Him — tabernacles, Darkness of waters — thick clouds of the skies.
13De la brilo antaux Li Ekbrulis karboj per fajro.
13From the brightness before Him Were brands of fire kindled!
14El la cxielo ektondris la Eternulo, Kaj la Plejaltulo auxdigis Sian vocxon.
14Thunder from the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice.
15Li jxetis sagojn, kaj dispelis ilin; fulmon, kaj konfuzis ilin.
15And He sendeth forth arrows, And scattereth them; Lightning, and troubleth them;
16Kaj malkovrigxis la kusxujoj de la maro, Nudigxis la fundamentoj de la universo, De la minaca vocxo de la Eternulo, De la kolera spirado de Lia nazo.
16And seen are the streams of the sea, Revealed are foundations of the world, By the rebuke of Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of His anger.
17Li etendas el supre la brakon, kaj prenas min; Li eltiras min el grandaj akvoj;
17He sendeth from above — He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.
18Li savas min de mia potenca malamiko, De miaj malamantoj, cxar ili estas pli fortaj ol mi.
18He delivereth me from my strong enemy, From those hating me, For they were stronger than I.
19Ili atingis min en la tago de mia malfelicxo; Sed la Eternulo farigxis mia subteno.
19They are before me in a day of my calamity, And Jehovah is my support,
20Kaj Li elkondukis min en vastan lokon; Li liberigis min, cxar Li estas favora al mi.
20And He bringeth me out to a large place, He draweth me out for He delighted in me.
21La Eternulo rekompencas min laux mia justeco; Laux la pureco de miaj manoj Li repagas al mi.
21Jehovah recompenseth me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.
22CXar mi min tenis je la vojoj de la Eternulo, Kaj mi ne faris malbonon antaux mia Dio.
22For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.
23CXar cxiuj Liaj legxoj estis antaux mi, Kaj Liajn ordonojn mi ne forigis de mi.
23For all His judgments [are] before me, As to His statutes, I turn not from them.
24Mi estis senkulpa antaux Li, Kaj mi gardis min, ke mi ne peku.
24And I am perfect before Him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.
25Kaj la Eternulo rekompencis min laux mia justeco, Laux mia pureco antaux Liaj okuloj.
25And Jehovah returneth to me, According to my righteousness, According to my cleanness before His eyes.
26Kun favorkorulo Vi estas favorkora, Kun piulo Vi estas pia;
26With the kind Thou shewest Thyself kind, With the perfect man Thou shewest Thyself perfect,
27Kun purulo Vi agas laux lia pureco, Kaj kun maliculo laux lia maliceco.
27With the pure Thou shewest Thyself pure, And with the perverse Thou shewest Thyself a wrestler.
28Popolon humilan Vi helpas; Kaj per Viaj okuloj Vi malaltigas la fierulojn.
28And the poor people Thou dost save, And Thine eyes on the high causest to fall.
29CXar Vi estas mia lumilo, ho Eternulo; La Eternulo lumigas mian mallumon.
29For Thou [art] my lamp, O Jehovah, And Jehovah doth lighten my darkness.
30CXar kun Vi mi forkurigas militistaron; Kun mia Dio mi transsaltas muron.
30For by Thee I run — a troop, By my God I leap a wall.
31La vojo de Dio estas perfekta; La parolo de la Eternulo estas tute pura; Li estas sxildo por cxiuj, kiuj Lin fidas.
31God! Perfect [is] His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield He [is] to all those trusting in Him.
32CXar kiu estas Dio, krom la Eternulo? Kaj kiu estas Roko, krom nia Dio?
32For who is God save Jehovah? And who a Rock save our God?
33Dio fortikigas min per forto; Kaj Li perfektigas mian vojon.
33God — my bulwark, [my] strength, And He maketh perfect my way;
34Li similigas miajn piedojn al cervaj, Kaj starigas min sur miaj altajxoj.
34Making my feet like hinds, And on my high places causeth me to stand,
35Li instruas mian manon militi, Kaj miajn brakojn strecxi kupran pafarkon.
35Teaching my hands for battle, And brought down was a bow of brass by mine arms,
36Vi donis al mi la sxildon de Via savo; Kaj Via favoro min grandigas.
36And Thou givest to me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy lowliness maketh me great.
37Vi largxigas mian pasxon sub mi, Por ke ne sxanceligxu miaj piedoj.
37Thou enlargest my step under me, And mine ankles have not slidden.
38Mi persekutas miajn malamikojn, kaj ekstermas ilin; Kaj mi ne revenas, gxis mi ilin pereigas.
38I pursue mine enemies and destroy them, And I turn not till they are consumed.
39Mi pereigas kaj frakasas ilin, ke ili ne povas plu levigxi; Ili falas sub miajn piedojn.
39And I consume them, and smite them, And they rise not, and fall under my feet.
40Vi cxirkauxzonas min per forto por la milito; Miajn atakintojn Vi jxetas sub min.
40And Thou girdest me [with] strength for battle, Thou causest my withstanders to bow under me.
41Vi forkurigas de mi miajn malamikojn, Kaj miajn malamantojn mi ekstermas.
41And mine enemies — Thou givest to me the neck, Those hating me — and I cut them off.
42Ili rigardas cxirkauxen, sed ne venas helpanto; Al la Eternulo, sed Li ne respondas al ili.
42They look, and there is no saviour; Unto Jehovah, and He hath not answered them.
43Mi disfrotas ilin simile al polvo de la tero; Kiel stratan koton mi ilin disbatas kaj dispremas.
43And I beat them as dust of the earth, As mire of the streets I beat them small — I spread them out!
44Vi savas min de la ribeloj de mia popolo; Vi gardas min, ke mi estu cxefo super la nacioj; Popolo, kiun mi ne konas, servas min.
44And — Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of my people, Thou placest me for a head of nations; A people I have not known do serve me.
45Aligentuloj respektegas min; Ili obeas min per atentaj oreloj.
45Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me, At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me.
46Aligentuloj senfortigxas, Kaj kuras terurite el siaj fortikajxoj.
46Sons of a stranger fade away, And gird themselves by their close places.
47Vivas la Eternulo; kaj benata estu mia Roko; Alte glorata estu mia Dio, la Roko de mia savo:
47Jehovah liveth, and blessed [is] my Rock, And exalted is my God — The Rock of my salvation.
48Tiu Dio, kiu donas al mi vengxon Kaj submetas al mi popolojn;
48God — who is giving vengeance to me, And bringing down peoples under me,
49Kiu forkondukas min de miaj malamikoj, Altigas min super miaj atakintoj, Kaj savas min de perfortulo.
49And bringing me forth from mine enemies, Yea, above my withstanders Thou raisest me up. From a man of violence Thou deliverest me.
50Tial mi gloras Vin, ho Eternulo, inter la popoloj, Kaj pri Via nomo mi kantas.
50Therefore I confess Thee, O Jehovah, among nations. And to Thy name I sing praise.
51Li donas grandan helpon al Sia regxo, Kaj faras favorajxon al Sia sanktoleito, Al David kaj al lia idaro, por eterne.
51Magnifying the salvations of His king, And doing loving-kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed — unto the age!`
