¹Pro tio, ke ni havas cxi tiun administradon, kiel ni ricevis kompaton, ni ne senkuragxigxas;

¹Therefore, having this ministry, as we have had mercy shewn us, we faint not.

²sed ni formetis la kasxitajn aferojn de honto, ne irante kun ruzeco kaj ne falsante la vorton de Dio, sed per elmontro de la vero rekomendante nin al cxies konscienco antaux Dio.

²But we have rejected the hidden things of shame, not walking in deceit, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

³Sed se nia evangelio eble estas vualita, gxi estas vualita rilate al tiuj, kiuj pereas;

³But if also our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those that are lost;

⁴en kiuj la dio de cxi tiu mondo blindigis la animojn de la nekredantoj, por ke la lumo de la evangelio de la gloro de Kristo, kiu estas la bildo de Dio, ne brilu sur ilin.

⁴in whom the god of this world has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the radiancy of the glad tidings of the glory of the Christ, who is [the] image of God, should not shine forth [for them].

⁵CXar ni predikadas ne nin mem, sed Kriston Jesuon kiel Sinjoron, kaj nin mem kiel viajn servistojn pro Jesuo.

⁵For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus Lord, and ourselves your bondmen for Jesus' sake.

⁶CXar Dio, kiu diris:El mallumo lumo brilos, Tiu brilis en niaj koroj, por doni lumon de la scio de la gloro de Dio en la vizagxo de Jesuo Kristo.

⁶Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.

⁷Sed ni havas cxi tiun trezoron en argilaj vazoj, por ke la treega grandeco de la potenco estu de Dio, kaj ne de ni mem;

⁷But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:

⁸ni estas premegataj cxe cxiu flanko, tamen ne enanguligitaj; embarasataj, sed ne konsternataj;

⁸every way afflicted, but not straitened; seeing no apparent issue, but our way not entirely shut up;

⁹persekutataj, sed ne forlasataj; faligataj, sed ne detruataj;

⁹persecuted, but not abandoned; cast down, but not destroyed;

¹⁰cxiam portante en la korpo la mortigxon de Jesuo, por ke la vivo ankaux de Jesuo elmontrigxu en nia korpo.

¹⁰always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body;

¹¹CXar ni, la vivantoj, cxiam estas submetataj al morto pro Jesuo, por ke la vivo ankaux de Jesuo elmontrigxu en nia morta karno.

¹¹for we who live are always delivered unto death on account of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh;

¹²La morto do energias en ni, sed la vivo en vi.

¹²so that death works in us, but life in you.

¹³Sed havante la saman spiriton de fido laux la skribo:Mi kredis, kaj tial mi parolis; ni ankaux kredas, kaj tial ankaux ni parolas;

¹³And having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I have believed, therefore have I spoken; *we* also believe, therefore also we speak;

¹⁴sciante, ke Tiu, kiu levis la Sinjoron Jesuo, levos nin ankaux kun Jesuo kaj prezentos nin kun vi.

¹⁴knowing that he who has raised the Lord Jesus shall raise us also with Jesus, and shall present [us] with you.

¹⁵CXar cxio estas pro vi, por ke la graco, multobligita per multaj, abundigu la dankon al la gloro de Dio.

¹⁵For all things [are] for your sakes, that the grace abounding through the many may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

¹⁶Pro tio ni ne senkuragxigxas; sed kvankam nia ekstera homo kadukigxas, tamen nia interna homo renovigxas tagon post tago.

¹⁶Wherefore we faint not; but if indeed our outward man is consumed, yet the inward is renewed day by day.

¹⁷CXar nia malpeza kaj momenta sufero elfaras por ni, pli kaj pli ekster mezuro, eternan pezon da gloro;

¹⁷For our momentary [and] light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory;

¹⁸dum ni rigardas ne la vidatajxojn, sed la nevidatajxojn; cxar la vidatajxoj estas tempaj, sed la nevidatajxoj estas eternaj.

¹⁸while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen [are] for a time, but those that are not seen eternal.
