¹Se do vi estas levitaj kun Kristo, sercxu tion, kio estas supre, kie Kristo sidas dekstre de Dio.

¹If therefore ye have been raised with the Christ, seek the things [which are] above, where the Christ is, sitting at [the] right hand of God:

²Atentu tion, kio estas supre, ne surterajxojn.

²have your mind on the things [that are] above, not on the things [that are] on the earth;

³CXar vi mortis, kaj via vivo kasxigxis kun Kristo en Dio.

³for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God.

⁴Kiam aperos Kristo, nia vivo, tiam vi ankaux kun li aperos en gloro.

⁴When the Christ is manifested who [is] our life, then shall *ye* also be manifested with him in glory.

⁵Malvivigu do viajn membrojn, kiuj estas sur la tero:malcxastecon, malpurecon, volupton, malbonan deziron, kaj avidecon, kiu estas idolkulto;

⁵Put to death therefore your members which [are] upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, vile passions, evil lust, and unbridled desire, which is idolatry.

⁶pro kio venas la kolero de Dio sur la filojn de malobeo;

⁶On account of which things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

⁷en kiuj vi ankaux iam iradis, kiam vi vivis en ili.

⁷In which *ye* also once walked when ye lived in these things.

⁸Sed nun formetu ankaux la jenajn:koleron, pasian indignon, malicon, kalumnion, hontindan parolon el via busxo;

⁸But now, put off, *ye* also, all [these] things, wrath, anger, malice, blasphemy, vile language out of your mouth.

⁹ne mensogu unu al alia, cxar vi jam formetis la malnovan homon kun liaj agoj,

⁹Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds,

¹⁰kaj surmetis la novan homon, kiu estas renovigata al scio laux la bildo de Tiu, kiu lin kreis;

¹⁰and having put on the new, renewed into full knowledge according to [the] image of him that has created him;

¹¹kie ne povas esti Greko kaj Judo, cirkumcido kaj necirkumcido, barbaro, Skito, sklavo, liberulo, sed Kristo estas cxio kaj en cxio.

¹¹wherein there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ [is] everything, and in all.

¹²Surmetu do, kiel elektitoj de Dio, sanktaj kaj amataj, koron de kompato, bonkorecon, humilecon, mildecon, toleremecon;

¹²Put on therefore, as [the] elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;

¹³reciproke paciencante kaj pardonante, se iu havas plendon kontraux iu; kiel la Sinjoro pardonis vin, tiel vi ankaux faru;

¹³forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also [do] *ye*.

¹⁴kaj super cxion tion surmetu amon, kiu estas ligilo de perfekteco.

¹⁴And to all these [add] love, which is the bond of perfectness.

¹⁵Kaj la paco de Kristo prezidu en viaj koroj, al kiu ankaux vi estas vokitaj en unu korpo, kaj estu dankemaj.

¹⁵And let the peace of Christ preside in your hearts, to which also ye have been called in one body, and be thankful.

¹⁶La vorto de Kristo logxu en vi ricxe, en cxia sagxeco; kaj instruu kaj admonu unu la alian per psalmoj kaj himnoj kaj spiritaj kantoj, kantante kun graco en viaj koroj al Dio.

¹⁶Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

¹⁷Kaj kion ajn vi faras per vorto aux ago, faru cxion en la nomo de la Sinjoro Jesuo, dankante Dion, la Patron, per li.

¹⁷And everything, whatever ye may do in word or in deed, [do] all things in [the] name of [the] Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.

¹⁸Edzinoj, submetigxu al viaj edzoj, kiel decas en la Sinjoro.

¹⁸Wives, be subject to [your] husbands, as is fitting in [the] Lord.

¹⁹Edzoj, amu viajn edzinojn, kaj ne maldolcxigxu kontraux ili.

¹⁹Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

²⁰Infanoj, obeu viajn gepatrojn en cxio, cxar tio placxas al la Sinjoro.

²⁰Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in [the] Lord.

²¹Patroj, ne kolerigu viajn infanojn, por ke ili ne senkuragxigxu.

²¹Fathers, do not vex your children, to the end that they be not disheartened.

²²Sklavoj, obeu en cxio al la sinjoroj laux la karno, ne per okulservo, kiel homplacxantoj, sed en simpleco de koro, timante la Sinjoron;

²²Bondmen, obey in all things your masters according to flesh; not with eye-services, as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.

²³kaj kion ajn vi faras, laboru plenanime, kiel por la Sinjoro, kaj ne por homoj,

²³Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as [doing it] to the Lord, and not to men;

²⁴sciante, ke de la Sinjoro vi ricevos la rekompencon de la heredajxo; cxar vi servas la Sinjoron Kristo.

²⁴knowing that of [the] Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance; ye serve the Lord Christ.

²⁵Sed cxiu maljuste faranta ricevos returne laux sia maljustajxo, kaj ne ekzistas personfavorado.

²⁵For he that does a wrong shall receive the wrong he has done, and there is no respect of persons.
