¹Kaj la Eternulo diris al Moseo:Iru al Faraono, kaj diru al li:Tiel diris la Eternulo, Dio de la Hebreoj:Forliberigu Mian popolon, ke gxi faru al Mi servon.

¹And Jehovah said to Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith Jehovah the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go, that they may serve me.

²CXar se vi ne volos forliberigi kaj vi plue ilin retenos,

²For if thou refuse to let them go, and shalt retain them still,

³jen la mano de la Eternulo estos sur viaj brutoj, kiuj estas sur la kampo, sur la cxevaloj, sur la azenoj, sur la kameloj, sur la bovoj, kaj sur la sxafoj; estos sur ili tre forta pesto.

³behold, the hand of Jehovah shall be on thy cattle which is in the field, on the horses, on the asses, on the camels, on the oxen and on the sheep, with a very grievous plague.

⁴Kaj la Eternulo faros apartigon inter la brutoj de la Izraelidoj kaj la brutoj de la Egiptoj; kaj el cxio, kio apartenas al la Izraelidoj, mortos nenio.

⁴And Jehovah will distinguish between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that the children of Israel have.

⁵Kaj la Eternulo difinis tempon, dirante:Morgaux la Eternulo faros tiun aferon en la lando.

⁵And Jehovah appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow will Jehovah do this thing in the land.

⁶Kaj la Eternulo faris tion en la sekvanta tago, kaj mortis cxiuj brutoj de la Egiptoj, sed el la brutoj de la Izraelidoj ne mortis ecx unu.

⁶And Jehovah did this thing on the following day, and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

⁷Faraono sendis, kaj oni vidis, ke el la brutoj de la Izraelidoj ne mortis ecx unu. Sed la koro de Faraono estis obstina, kaj li ne forliberigis la popolon.

⁷And Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

⁸Tiam la Eternulo diris al Moseo kaj al Aaron:Prenu al vi plenmanojn da cindro el la forno, kaj Moseo jxetu gxin al la cxielo antaux la okuloj de Faraono.

⁸And Jehovah said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to yourselves handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward the heavens before the eyes of Pharaoh.

⁹Kaj gxi farigxos polvo super la tuta lando Egipta, kaj sur la homoj kaj sur la bestoj farigxos el gxi brulumaj abscesoj en la tuta lando Egipta.

⁹And it shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall become boils on man and on cattle, breaking out [with] blisters, throughout the land of Egypt.

¹⁰Kaj ili prenis cindron el la forno kaj starigxis antaux Faraono, kaj Moseo jxetis gxin al la cxielo, kaj aperis brulumaj abscesoj sur la homoj kaj sur la bestoj.

¹⁰And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it toward the heavens; and it became boils [with] blisters breaking out on man and on cattle.

¹¹Kaj la sorcxistoj ne povis teni sin antaux Moseo pro la abscesoj, cxar la abscesoj estis sur la sorcxistoj kaj sur cxiuj Egiptoj.

¹¹And the scribes could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.

¹²Sed la Eternulo obstinigis la koron de Faraono, kaj li ne auxskultis ilin, kiel diris la Eternulo al Moseo.

¹²And Jehovah made Pharaoh's heart stubborn, and he did not hearken to them, as Jehovah had told Moses.

¹³Tiam la Eternulo diris al Moseo:Levigxu frue matene kaj starigxu antaux Faraono, kaj diru al li:Tiel diris la Eternulo, Dio de la Hebreoj:Forliberigu Mian popolon, ke gxi faru al Mi servon.

¹³And Jehovah said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and set thyself before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹⁴CXar cxi tiun fojon Mi sendos cxiujn Miajn frapojn en vian koron kaj sur viajn servantojn kaj sur vian popolon, por ke vi sciu, ke ne ekzistas simila al Mi sur la tuta tero.

¹⁴For I will at this time send all my plagues to thy heart, and on thy bondmen, and on thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

¹⁵CXar nun Mi etendus Mian manon kaj batus vin kaj vian popolon per pesto, kaj vi malaperus de la tero;

¹⁵For now shall I put forth my hand, and I will smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

¹⁶sed nur por tio Mi vin konservis, ke Mi montru sur vi Mian forton, kaj por ke oni rakontu pri Mia nomo sur la tuta tero.

¹⁶And for this very cause have I raised thee up, to shew thee my power; and that my name may be declared in all the earth.

¹⁷Ankoraux vi retenas Mian popolon, kaj ne forliberigas gxin.

¹⁷Dost thou still exalt thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

¹⁸Jen morgaux en cxi tiu tempo Mi pluvigos tre grandan hajlon, tian, ke simila al gxi ne estis en Egiptujo de post la tago de gxia fondigxo gxis nun.

¹⁸Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since its foundation until now.

¹⁹Kaj nun sendu, kolektu viajn brutojn, kaj cxion, kion vi havas sur la kampo; sur cxiun homon kaj bruton, kiuj trovigxos sur la kampo kaj ne kolektigxos en la domon, falos la hajlo, kaj ili mortos.

¹⁹And now send, [and] secure thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field: all the men and the cattle that are found in the field, and are not brought home -- on them the hail shall come down, and they shall die.

²⁰Kiu el la servantoj de Faraono timis la vorton de la Eternulo, tiu rapide envenigis siajn sklavojn kaj brutojn en la domojn;

²⁰He that feared the word of Jehovah among the bondmen of Pharaoh made his bondmen and his cattle flee into the houses.

²¹sed kiu ne atentis la vorton de la Eternulo, tiu lasis siajn sklavojn kaj siajn brutojn sur la kampo.

²¹But he that did not regard the word of Jehovah left his bondmen and his cattle in the field.

²²Kaj la Eternulo diris al Moseo:Etendu vian manon al la cxielo, kaj venos hajlo en la tuta lando Egipta, sur la homojn kaj sur la brutojn kaj sur cxiujn herbojn de la kampo en la lando Egipta.

²²And Jehovah said to Moses, Stretch out thy hand toward the heavens, that there may be hail throughout the land of Egypt, upon men, and upon cattle, and upon every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.

²³Kaj Moseo etendis sian bastonon al la cxielo; kaj la Eternulo aperigis tondrojn kaj hajlon, kaj fajro iris sur la teron, kaj la Eternulo pluvigis hajlon sur la landon Egiptan.

²³And Moses stretched out his staff toward the heavens, and Jehovah gave thunder and hail; and the fire ran along the ground; and Jehovah rained hail on the land of Egypt.

²⁴Kaj estis hajlo, kaj fajro ekflamadis meze de la hajlo, en tiel forta grado, ke io simila neniam estis en la tuta lando Egipta de post la tempo, kiam en gxi aperis popolo.

²⁴And there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there had been none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

²⁵Kaj la hajlo batdifektis en la tuta lando Egipta cxion, kio estis sur la kampo; homojn kaj brutojn kaj cxiun herbon de la kampo batdifektis la hajlo, kaj cxiujn arbojn de la kampo gxi rompis.

²⁵And the hail smote throughout the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both men and cattle; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

²⁶Nur en la lando Gosxen, kie estis la Izraelidoj, ne estis hajlo.

²⁶Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

²⁷Tiam Faraono sendis, kaj alvokis Moseon kaj Aaronon, kaj diris al ili:Mi pekis la nunan fojon; la Eternulo estas la pravulo, mi kaj mia popolo estas la malpravuloj.

²⁷And Pharaoh sent, and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: Jehovah is the righteous [one], but I and my people are the wicked [ones].

²⁸Pregxu al la Eternulo, ke cxesigxu la tondroj de Dio kaj la hajlo; tiam mi forliberigos vin, kaj vi ne plu restos.

²⁸Intreat Jehovah that it may be enough, that there be no more thunder of God and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer!

²⁹Kaj Moseo diris al li:Kiam mi eliros el la urbo, mi etendos miajn manojn al la Eternulo; la tondroj cxesigxos kaj la hajlo ne plu estos, por ke vi sciigxu, ke al la Eternulo apartenas la tero.

²⁹And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Jehovah: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is Jehovah's.

³⁰Sed mi scias, ke vi kaj viaj servantoj ankoraux ne timas Dion, la Eternulon.

³⁰But as to thee and thy bondmen, I know that ye do not yet fear Jehovah Elohim.

³¹La lino kaj la hordeo estis batdifektitaj, cxar la hordeo havis spikojn kaj la lino havis burgxonojn;

³¹And the flax and the barley were smitten; for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

³²sed la tritiko kaj la spelto ne estis batdifektitaj, cxar ili estis malfrusezonaj.

³²But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten; for they were not come out into ear.

³³Moseo eliris de Faraono el la urbo kaj etendis siajn manojn al la Eternulo; tiam cxesigxis la tondroj kaj la hajlo, kaj pluvo ne plu versxigxis sur la teron.

³³And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to Jehovah; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not [any more] poured on the earth.

³⁴Kiam Faraono vidis, ke cxesigxis la pluvo kaj la hajlo kaj la tondroj, tiam li plue pekis kaj obstinigis sian koron, li kaj liaj servantoj.

³⁴And Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, and he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he, and his bondmen.

³⁵La koro de Faraono restis obstina, kaj li ne forliberigis la Izraelidojn, kiel diris la Eternulo per Moseo.

³⁵And the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, neither would he let the children of Israel go, as Jehovah had spoken by Moses.
