¹Kaj vi, ho filo de homo, prenu al vi glavon akran, kiel razilo de barbiroj, prenu gxin al vi, kaj pasigu gxin sur via kapo kaj sur via barbo, kaj prenu al vi pesilon, kaj disdividu la harojn:

¹And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife; a barber's razor shalt thou take; and cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard: and thou shalt take balances to weigh, and divide the [hair].

²A third part shalt thou burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and thou shalt take a third part, [and] smite about it with a knife; and a third part thou shalt scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.

³Kaj prenu el tio malgrandan kvanton, kaj ligu gxin en la randon de via vesto.

³And thou shalt take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts;

⁴Kaj ankoraux iom prenu el tio, kaj jxetu en fajron, kaj forbruligu ilin per fajro; el tie eliros fajro sur la tutan domon de Izrael.

⁴and thou shalt take of these again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire: from it shall a fire come forth against all the house of Israel.

⁵Tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo:Jen estas Jerusalem; Mi starigis gxin meze de la nacioj, kaj cxirkaux gxi estas diversaj landoj.

⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This is Jerusalem: I have set her in the midst of the nations, and the countries are round about her.

⁶Sed gxi agis kontraux Miaj decidoj pli malpie, ol la nacioj, kaj kontraux Miaj legxoj pli malbone, ol la landoj, kiuj estas cxirkaux gxi; cxar ili malestimis Miajn decidojn, kaj Miajn legxojn ili ne sekvis.

⁶And she hath rebelled against my judgments in wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for mine ordinances have they refused; and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

⁷Tial tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo:CXar via amaso estas pli malbona, ol la nacioj, kiuj estas cxirkaux vi, cxar Miajn legxojn vi ne sekvis kaj Miajn decidojn vi ne plenumis, kaj vi ne agis ecx laux la justeco de la nacioj, kiuj estas cxirkaux vi,

⁷Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have been turbulent more than the nations that are round about you, [and] have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept mine ordinances, nor [even] have done according to the ordinances of the nations that are round about you;

⁸tial tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo:Jen Mi ankaux iros kontraux vin, kaj Mi faros inter vi jugxon antaux la okuloj de la nacioj.

⁸therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations;

⁹Kaj Mi agos kun vi tiel, kiel Mi neniam agis kaj kiel Mi neniam plu agos simile, pro cxiuj viaj abomenindajxoj.

⁹and I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

¹⁰Tial gepatroj mangxos gefilojn inter vi, kaj gefiloj mangxos siajn gepatrojn; kaj Mi faros kontraux vi jugxon, kaj Mi disblovos vian tutan restajxon al cxiuj ventoj.

¹⁰Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter to all the winds.

¹¹Tial, kiel Mi vivas, diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, pro tio, ke vi malpurigis Mian sanktejon per cxiuj viaj abomenindajxoj kaj per cxiuj viaj fiajxoj, Mi vin malgrandigos, kaj Mia okulo ne indulgos, kaj Mi ne kompatos.

¹¹Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, verily because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also withdraw mine eye, and it shall not spare, nor will I have any pity.

¹²Triono el vi mortos de pesto kaj pereos de malsato meze de vi; triono falos de glavo en viaj cxirkauxajxoj; kaj trionon Mi dispelos al cxiuj ventoj, kaj Mi elingigos post ili la glavon.

¹²A third part of thee shall die by the pestilence, and shall be consumed by the famine in the midst of thee; and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

¹³Mi plene agigos Mian koleron, kaj Mi ripozigos Mian indignon sur ili, kaj Mi faros al Mi kontentecon, por ke ili eksciu, ke Mi, la Eternulo, parolis en Mia fervoro, kiam Mi konsumos Mian koleron sur ili.

¹³And mine anger shall be accomplished, and I will satisfy my fury upon them, and I will comfort myself; and they shall know that I Jehovah have spoken in my jealousy, when I have accomplished my fury upon them.

¹⁴Kaj Mi vin dezertigos kaj hontigos inter la nacioj, kiuj estas cxirkaux vi, antaux la okuloj de cxiu pasanto.

¹⁴And I will make thee a waste and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

¹⁵Kaj vi estos hontindajxo kaj mokatajxo, ekzemplo kaj teruro por la nacioj, kiuj estas cxirkaux vi, kiam Mi faros kontraux vi jugxon en kolero kaj indigno kaj kun indigna moralinstruo. Mi, la Eternulo, tion diris.

¹⁵And it shall be a reproach, and a taunt, an instruction, and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments upon thee in anger, and in fury, and in furious rebukes: I, Jehovah, have spoken.

¹⁶Kiam Mi jxetos sur ilin Miajn kruelajn sagojn de malsato, kiuj estos pereigaj kaj kiujn Mi sendos por ekstermado, tiam Mi faros cxe vi la malsaton cxiam pli granda, kaj Mi rompos cxe vi la panan apogon.

¹⁶When I send upon them the evil arrows of famine, that are for [their] destruction, which I send to destroy you, then will I increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread.

¹⁷Mi sendos sur vin malsaton, kaj sovagxajn bestojn, kiuj faros vin seninfanaj; kaj pesto kaj sangoversxado trairos vin, kaj glavon Mi venigos sur vin. Mi, la Eternulo, tion diris.

¹⁷And I will send upon you famine and evil beasts, which shall bereave thee of children; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee: I, Jehovah, have spoken.
