¹GXoju, ho senfruktulino, kiu ne naskis; sonigu kanton kaj gxojkriu, ho vi, kiu ne suferis doloron; cxar la forlasitino havos pli da infanoj, ol la havanta edzon, diras la Eternulo.

¹Exult, thou barren, that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and shout for joy, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.

²Vastigu la spacon de via tendo, disetendu la tapisxojn de viaj logxejoj, ne retenu; etendu pli longe viajn sxnurojn, kaj viajn palisojn fortikigu.

²Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.

³CXar dekstren kaj maldekstren vi disvastigxos, kaj via idaro ekposedos naciojn kaj eklogxos en urboj dezertigitaj.

³For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess nations, and they shall make desolate cities to be inhabited.

⁴Ne timu, cxar vi ne estos malhonorata; ne kasxu vin honte, cxar vi ne estos hontigata, kaj cxar la honton de via juneco vi forgesos kaj la malhonoron de via vidvineco vi ne plu rememoros.

⁴Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

⁵CXar via Kreinto estas via edzo, Eternulo Cebaot estas Lia nomo; kaj via Liberiginto estas la Sanktulo de Izrael, kiun oni nomas Dio de la tuta tero.

⁵For thy Maker is thy husband: Jehovah of hosts is his name, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

⁶CXar kiel virinon forlasitan kaj afliktitan en la spirito la Eternulo vin alvokis; kaj kiel edzinon de la juneco, kvankam forpusxitan, diras via Dio.

⁶For Jehovah hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and as a wife of youth, that hath been refused, saith thy God.

⁷Por malgranda momento Mi vin forlasis, kaj kun granda kompato Mi vin reprenos al Mi.

⁷For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

⁸En eksplodo de kolero Mi forturnis de vi Mian vizagxon por momento, sed per eterna favorkoreco Mi vin kompatis, diras via Liberiginto, la Eternulo.

⁸In the outpouring of wrath have I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting loving-kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer.

⁹CXar tio estas por Mi kiel la akvo de Noa; kiel Mi jxuris, ke Mi ne plu venigos la akvon de Noa sur la teron, tiel Mi jxuris, ke Mi ne koleros vin nek insultos vin.

⁹For this is [as] the waters of Noah unto me, since I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth: so have I sworn that I will no more be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

¹⁰CXar montoj forsxovigxos kaj altajxoj sxanceligxos; sed Mia favorkoreco ne forigxos de vi, kaj la interligo de Mia paco ne sxanceligxos, diras la Eternulo, via Kompatanto.

¹⁰For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving-kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah, that hath mercy on thee.

¹¹Ho mizera, suferanta de ventego, senkonsola! jen Mi donos brilon al viaj sxtonoj, kaj vian fundamenton Mi faros el safiroj.

¹¹[Thou] afflicted, tossed with tempest, not comforted! Behold, I will set thy stones in antimony, and lay thy foundations with sapphires;

¹²Kaj Mi faros viajn murdentojn el rubenoj kaj viajn pordegojn el kristaloj kaj cxiujn viajn limojn el multekostaj sxtonoj.

¹²and I will make thy battlements of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of precious stones.

¹³Kaj cxiuj viaj infanoj estos instruitaj de la Eternulo, kaj granda estos la bonstato de viaj filoj.

¹³And all thy children [shall be] taught of Jehovah, and great shall be the peace of thy children.

¹⁴Per vero vi fortikigxos; estu malproksima de premiteco, cxar vi ne bezonas timi, kaj de teruro, cxar gxi ne alproksimigxos al vi.

¹⁴In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

¹⁵Certe, oni sin armos kontraux vi, sed tio ne estos de Mi; kiu sin armos kontraux vi, tiu falos antaux vi.

¹⁵Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever gathereth together against thee shall fall because of thee.

¹⁶Jen Mi kreis la forgxiston, kiu blovas fajron sur karboj kaj ellaboras ilojn por siaj faroj; kaj Mi ankaux kreis ekstermanton por detruado.

¹⁶Behold, it is I who have created the smith that bloweth in the fire of coal, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to ravage.

¹⁷Nenia ilo, kreita kontraux vi, havos sukceson; kaj cxiun langon, kiu batalos kontraux vi en la jugxo, vi malpravigos. Tio estas la heredajxo de la servantoj de la Eternulo, kaj ilia praveco antaux Mi, diras la Eternulo.

¹⁷No weapon that is prepared against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah; and their righteousness is of me, saith Jehovah.
