¹Vidu, ne mallongigxis la mano de la Eternulo, por ke gxi ne povu helpi; kaj ne malakrigxis Lia orelo, por ke Li ne auxdu.

¹Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear;

²Nur viaj krimoj estis disigilo inter vi kaj via Dio, kaj viaj pekoj kovris antaux vi Lian vizagxon, por ke Li ne auxdu.

²but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he doth not hear.

³CXar viaj manoj estas makulitaj per sango, kaj viaj fingroj per krimo; via busxo parolas malveron, via lango esprimas maljustajxon.

³For your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips speak lies, your tongue muttereth unrighteousness:

⁴Neniu procesas honeste, kaj neniu jugxas juste; oni fidas vantajxon kaj parolas malveron, gravedigxas per malhonestajxo kaj naskas krimon.

⁴none calleth for justice, none pleadeth in truthfulness. They trust in vanity, and speak falsehood; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

⁵Oni kovas ovojn de vipuro, kaj oni teksas araneajxon. Kiu mangxas iom el tiuj ovoj, tiu mortas; kiam oni ilin disrompas, elaperas vipuro.

⁵They hatch serpents' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

⁶Ilia teksajxo ne tauxgos por vesto, kaj ili ne kovros sin per sia faritajxo; iliaj faroj estas faroj pekaj, kaj agoj de rabo estas en iliaj manoj.

⁶Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

⁷Iliaj piedoj kuras al malbono, kaj ili rapidas, por versxi senkulpan sangon; iliaj pensoj estas pensoj pekaj; ruinigo kaj pereigo estas sur ilia vojo.

⁷Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths;

⁸Vojon de paco ili ne konas, kaj sur iliaj irejoj ne trovigxas justeco; siajn vojetojn ili kurbigis al si; cxiu, kiu iras sur ili, ne konas pacon.

⁸the way of peace they know not, and there is no judgment in their goings; they have made their paths crooked: whoso goeth therein knoweth not peace.

⁹Tial malproksimigxis de ni justeco, kaj vero ne atingis nin; ni atendas lumon, sed jen estas mallumo; brilon, sed ni iras en mallumo.

⁹Therefore is justice far from us, and righteousness overtaketh us not: we wait for light, and behold darkness; for brightness, [but] we walk in obscurity.

¹⁰Ni palpas la muron kiel blinduloj, kaj ni palpas kiel senokululoj; en tagmezo ni faletas kiel en krepusko, en mallumo kiel mortintoj.

¹⁰We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at midday as in the twilight; amongst the flourishing we are as the dead.

¹¹Ni cxiuj blekegas kiel ursoj, kaj ni gxemas kiel kolomboj; ni atendas justecon, sed gxi forestas; savon, sed gxi estas malproksime de ni.

¹¹We roar all like bears, and mourn grievously like doves: we look for judgment, and there is none; for salvation, [but] it is far from us.

¹²CXar multigxis niaj krimoj antaux Vi, kaj niaj pekoj atestas kontraux ni; cxar niaj krimoj estas kun ni, kaj niajn pekojn ni konas.

¹²For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us; and our iniquities, we know them:

¹³Ni krimis kaj mensogis kontraux la Eternulo, kaj ni forturnis nin de nia Dio; ni parolis pri rabado kaj malbonagado, ni preparis kaj eligis el la koro vortojn mensogajn.

¹³in transgressing and lying against Jehovah, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

¹⁴Kaj forturnigxis malantauxen la justeco, kaj la virto staras malproksime; cxar la vero faletis sur la strato, kaj la gxusteco ne povas veni.

¹⁴And judgment is turned away backward, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth stumbleth in the street, and uprightness cannot enter.

¹⁵Kaj la vero estas forigita; kaj prirabata estas tiu, kiu detenas sin de malbono. Kaj la Eternulo vidis, kaj Li indignis, ke forestas justeco.

¹⁵And truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey. And Jehovah saw [it], and it was evil in his sight that there was no judgment.

¹⁶Kaj Li vidis, ke ne trovigxas viro, kaj Li miris, ke ne trovigxas defendanto; kaj helpis Lin Lia brako, kaj Lia justeco Lin subtenis.

¹⁶And he saw that there was no man, and he wondered that there was no intercessor; and his arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness, it sustained him.

¹⁷Kaj Li surmetis sur Sin la veron kiel kirason, kaj la kaskon de savo sur Sian kapon; kaj Li metis sur Sin veston de vengxo, kaj envolvis Sin en severecon kiel en mantelon.

¹⁷And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance [for] clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

¹⁸Laux la faroj Li repagos:koleron al Siaj malamikoj, honton al Siaj malamantoj; al la insuloj Li repagos, kion ili meritas.

¹⁸According to deeds, so will he repay: fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

¹⁹Kaj oni timos en la okcidento la nomon de la Eternulo kaj en la oriento Lian majeston; cxar la malamiko venos kiel rivero, pelata de la spirado de la Eternulo.

¹⁹And they shall fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and from the rising of the sun, his glory. When the adversary shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of Jehovah will lift up a banner against him.

²⁰Kaj venos Liberiganto por Cion, kaj por tiuj el Jakob, kiuj retirigxis de malbonagoj, diras la Eternulo.

²⁰And the Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith Jehovah.

²¹Kaj Mi faras kun ili jenan interligon, diras la Eternulo:Mia spirito, kiu estas sur vi, kaj Miaj vortoj, kiujn Mi metis en vian busxon, ne forigxos de via busxo nek de la busxo de viaj infanoj nek de la busxo de via plua idaro, de nun gxis eterne, diras la Eternulo.

²¹And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.
