¹La spirito de la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, estas sur mi, cxar la Eternulo min sanktoleis, por bonanonci al mizeruloj; Li sendis min, por bandagxi tiujn, kies koro estas vundita, por anonci liberecon al kaptitoj kaj malsxloson al malliberigitoj,

¹The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound;

²por proklami favorjaron de la Eternulo kaj vengxotagon de nia Dio, por konsoli cxiujn malgxojulojn,

²to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

³por fari al la afliktitoj de Cion, ke oni donu al ili ornamon anstataux cindro, oleon de gxojo anstataux funebro, veston de gloro anstataux spirito afliktita, kaj ke oni nomu ilin kverkoj de justeco, plantajxo de la Eternulo por Lia gloro.

³to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

⁴Kaj ili rekonstruos la antikvajn ruinojn, restarigos la detruitajxojn de la antauxa tempo, kaj renovigos la ruinigitajn urbojn, dezertigitajn antaux multe da generacioj.

⁴And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the places desolate from generation to generation.

⁵Starigxos fremduloj kaj pasxtos viajn sxafojn, kaj aligentuloj estos viaj plugistoj kaj vinberistoj.

⁵And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your ploughmen and your vinedressers.

⁶Kaj vi estos nomataj pastroj de la Eternulo, servantoj de nia Dio oni nomos vin; la ricxajxon de popoloj vi mangxos, kaj per ilia gloro vi glorigxos.

⁶But as for you, ye shall be called priests of Jehovah; it shall be said of you: Ministers of our God. Ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and into their glory shall ye enter.

⁷Pro via honto vi ricevos duoble, pro la malhonoro ili gxojkantos sur siaj partoj; duoblajxon ili ekposedos en sia lando; gxojo eterna estos cxe ili.

⁷Instead of your shame [ye shall have] double; instead of confusion they shall celebrate with joy their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.

⁸CXar Mi, la Eternulo, amas justecon, malamas rabadon kaj maljustecon; kaj Mi fidele donos al ili ilian rekompencon, kaj interligon eternan Mi faros kun ili.

⁸For I, Jehovah, love judgment, I hate robbery with wrong; and I will give their recompence in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁹Kaj ilia idaro estos fama inter la popoloj, kaj iliaj posteuloj inter la nacioj; cxiuj, kiuj ilin vidos, konos ilin, ke ili estas semo benita de la Eternulo.

⁹And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are a seed that Jehovah hath blessed.

¹⁰Mi forte gxojas pri la Eternulo, mia animo gxojas pri mia Dio; cxar Li vestis min per vestoj de savo, per mantelo de justeco Li min kovris, kiel fiancxon, kiu sin ornamas per belajxo, kaj kiel fiancxinon, kiu metas sur sin siajn ornamajxojn.

¹⁰I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹¹CXar kiel la tero elirigas siajn kreskajxojn kaj kiel gxardeno elkreskigas siajn semojn, tiel la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, elkreskigos justecon kaj gloron antaux cxiuj popoloj.

¹¹For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
