¹Tiele diras la Eternulo:La cxielo estas Mia trono, kaj la tero estas Mia piedbenketo; kie do estos la domo, kiun vi konstruos por Mi? kaj kie estos la loko por Mia ripozo?

¹Thus saith Jehovah: The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what is the house that ye will build unto me? and what is the place of my rest?

²CXion tion faris ja Mia mano, kaj tiel cxio farigxis, diras la Eternulo. Nur tion Mi rigardas:humilulon kaj spirite-afliktiton, kiu respektegas Mian vorton.

²Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.

³Unu bucxas bovon, alia mortigas homon; unu bucxoferas sxafidon, alia rompas la kolon al hundo; unu alportas farunoferon, alia sangon de porko; unu incensas olibanon, alia pregxas al idolo. Sed kiel ili elektis al si siajn vojojn kaj ilia animo gxuas ilian abomenindajxon,

³He that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [it is as] swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, [is as] he that blesseth an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,

⁴tiel ankaux Mi elektos por ili petolantojn kaj venigos sur ilin tion, kion ili timis; cxar Mi vokis, kaj neniu respondis; Mi parolis, kaj ili ne auxskultis; sed ili faris malbonon antaux Miaj okuloj, kaj elektis tion, kio ne placxis al Mi.

⁴I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

⁵Auxskultu la parolon de la Eternulo, vi, kiuj respektegas Lian parolon:Viaj fratoj, kiuj vin malamas kaj forpusxas pro Mia nomo, diras:La Eternulo montru Sian gloron, por ke ni vidu vian gxojon! Sed ili estos hontigitaj.

⁵Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.

⁶Auxdigxas brua vocxo el la urbo, vocxo el la templo, vocxo de la Eternulo, kiu repagas merititajxon al Siaj malamikoj.

⁶A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompence to his enemies!

⁷Antaux ol sxi eksentis dolorojn, sxi naskis; antaux ol venis al sxi la akusxigxaj suferoj, sxi elfaligis filon.

⁷Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.

⁸Kiu auxdis ion similan? kiu vidis ion similan? cxu la tero naskas en unu tago? cxu naskigxas popolo per unu fojo, kiel, apenaux eksentinte naskajn dolorojn, tuj naskis Cion siajn filojn?

⁸Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Can a land be made to bring forth in one day? shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.

⁹CXu Mi, malfermante la uteron, ne lasus naski? diras la Eternulo. CXu Mi, kiu pretigis la naskon, mem gxin haltigus? diras via Dio.

⁹Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [the womb]? saith thy God.

¹⁰GXoju kun Jerusalem kaj estu gajaj pri gxi cxiuj gxiaj amantoj; forte gxoju pri gxi cxiuj, kiuj ploris pri gxi.

¹⁰Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:

¹¹Sucxu kaj satigxu el la brusto de gxiaj konsoloj; sucxu kaj gxuu la abundon de gxia gloro.

¹¹because ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

¹²CXar tiele diras la Eternulo:Jen Mi fluigos sur gxin pacon kiel riveron, kaj la ricxajxon de la popoloj kiel disversxigxintan torenton, por ke vi sucxu; sur la brakoj vi estos portataj, kaj sur la genuoj vi estos dorlotataj.

¹²For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.

¹³Kiel homon, kiun konsolas lia patrino, tiel Mi vin konsolos; kaj en Jerusalem vi estos konsolataj.

¹³As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

¹⁴Kaj vi vidos, kaj gxojos via koro, kaj viaj ostoj vigligxos kiel fresxa verdajxo; kaj la mano de la Eternulo farigxos konata al Liaj servantoj, kaj Lia kolero al Liaj malamikoj.

¹⁴And ye shall see [this], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.

¹⁵CXar jen la Eternulo venos en fajro, kaj Lia cxaro estos kiel ventego, por elversxi en ardo Sian koleron kaj en flama fajro Sian indignon.

¹⁵For behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

¹⁶CXar per fajro kaj glavo la Eternulo faros jugxon super cxiu karno; kaj multaj estos la frapitoj de la Eternulo.

¹⁶For by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

¹⁷Tiuj, kiuj sanktigas kaj purigas sin por la gxardenoj, starante post unu en la mezo, kiuj mangxas viandon de porko kaj abomenindajxon kaj musojn, cxiuj kune estos ekstermitaj, diras la Eternulo.

¹⁷They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one in the midst; that eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall perish together, saith Jehovah.

¹⁸Kaj por Mi, pro iliaj faroj kaj intencoj, venis la tempo kolekti cxiujn popolojn kaj gentojn, por ke ili venu kaj vidu Mian gloron.

¹⁸And I, -- their works and their thoughts [are before me]. ... [The time] cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

¹⁹Kaj Mi faros sur ili signon, kaj la savigxintojn el ili Mi sendos al la popoloj Tarsxisx, Pul, kaj Lud, al la strecxantoj de pafarkoj, al Tubal kaj Javan, sur la malproksimajn insulojn, kiuj ne auxdis la famon pri Mi kaj ne vidis Mian gloron; kaj ili proklamos Mian gloron inter la popoloj.

¹⁹And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

²⁰Kaj ili venigos cxiujn viajn fratojn el inter cxiuj popoloj kiel donacon al la Eternulo, sur cxevaloj kaj cxaroj, en veturiloj, kaj sur muloj kaj kameloj, sur Mian sanktan monton en Jerusalemon, diras la Eternulo, simile al tio, kiel la Izraelidoj alportadis la donacojn en la domon de la Eternulo en pura vazo.

²⁰And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

²¹Kaj el ili Mi prenos al Mi pastrojn kaj Levidojn, diras la Eternulo.

²¹And I will also take of them for priests [and] for Levites, saith Jehovah.

²²CXar kiel la nova cxielo kaj la nova tero, kiujn Mi kreos, staros antaux Mi, diras la Eternulo, tiel staros via idaro kaj via nomo.

²²For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

²³Kaj regule en cxiu monatkomenco kaj en cxiu sabato venos cxiu karno, por adorklinigxi antaux Mi, diras la Eternulo.

²³And it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.

²⁴Kaj ili eliros kaj vidos la kadavrojn de la homoj, kiuj malbonagis kontraux Mi; cxar ilia vermo ne mortos kaj ilia fajro ne estingigxos, kaj ili estos abomenindajxo por cxiu karno.

²⁴And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.
