¹Pri la Amonidoj:Tiele diras la Eternulo:CXu Izrael ne havas filojn? cxu li ne havas heredanton? kial do Malkam heredis Gadon kaj lia popolo logxas en la urboj de cxi tiu?

¹Concerning the children of Ammon. Thus saith Jehovah: Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? Why is Malcam heir of Gad, and his people dwell in the cities thereof?

²Tial jen venos tempo, diras la Eternulo, kaj Mi eksonigos militan trumpetadon super Raba de la Amonidoj; kaj gxi farigxos amaso da ruinoj, kaj gxiaj filinoj forbrulos en fajro, kaj Izrael ekposedos siajn posedintojn, diras la Eternulo.

²Therefore behold, days come, saith Jehovah, that I will cause the clamour of war to be heard in Rabbah of the children of Ammon; and it shall be a desolate heap; and her towns shall be burned with fire; and Israel shall possess them that possessed him, saith Jehovah.

³Ploregu, ho HXesxbon, cxar Aj estas ruinigita. Kriu, ho filinoj de Raba, zonu vin per sakajxo, ploru kaj vagadu inter la bariloj; cxar Malkam iras en kaptitecon kune kun siaj pastroj kaj eminentuloj.

³Howl, Heshbon! for Ai is laid waste; cry, daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth, lament and run to and fro within the enclosures: for Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

⁴Kial vi fanfaronas pri viaj valoj? sangon fluigas via valo, ho filino malobeema, kiu fidas siajn trezorojn, kaj diras:Kiu povas veni al mi?

⁴Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys? Thy valley shall flow down, O backsliding daughter, that trusteth in her treasures, [saying,] Who shall come against me?

⁵Jen Mi venigos sur vin timon, diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo Cebaot, de cxiuj viaj cxirkauxajxoj; kaj vi estos dispelitaj cxiu aparte, kaj neniu kolektos la vagantojn.

⁵Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord Jehovah of hosts, from all that are about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall assemble the fugitives.

⁶Tamen poste Mi revenigos la forkaptitajn Amonidojn, diras la Eternulo.

⁶And afterwards I will turn the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith Jehovah.

⁷Pri Edom:Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:CXu jam ne ekzistas sagxo en Teman? cxu la filoj jam ne havas konsilon? cxu ilia sagxeco malaperis?

⁷Concerning Edom. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Is there no more wisdom in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom spent?

⁸Forkuras, turnis sian dorson, kaj profunde sin kasxas la logxantoj de Dedan; cxar malfelicxon de Esav Mi venigis sur lin, la tempon de lia puno.

⁸Flee, turn back, dwell deep down, ye inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I visit him.

⁹Kiam venos al vi vinberkolektantoj, ili ne restigos forgesitajn berojn; se venos sxtelistoj en la nokto, ili rabos plenan kvanton.

⁹If grape-gatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a gleaning? If thieves by night, they would destroy only till they had enough.

¹⁰CXar Mi nudigis Esavon, Mi malkasxis liajn sekretajn rifugxejojn, por ke li ne povu sin kasxi; ekstermitaj estas lia idaro, liaj fratoj, kaj liaj najbaroj, kaj li jam ne ekzistas.

¹⁰But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, that he is unable to hide himself: his seed is wasted, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.

¹¹Restigu viajn orfojn, Mi konservos ilian vivon; kaj viaj vidvinoj fidu Min.

¹¹Leave thine orphans, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

¹²CXar tiele diras la Eternulo:Jen tiuj, kiuj ne meritis trinki la pokalon, tamen gxin trinkos; cxu vi do povas resti nepunita? vi ne restos nepunita, sed vi nepre trinkos.

¹²For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup shall assuredly drink; and thou indeed, shouldest thou be altogether unpunished? Thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink.

¹³CXar Mi jxuris per Mi, diras la Eternulo, ke Bocra farigxos objekto de teruro, honto, ruinigo, kaj malbeno; kaj cxiuj gxiaj urboj farigxos ruinoj por eterne.

¹³For I have sworn by myself, saith Jehovah, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

¹⁴Diron mi auxdis de la Eternulo, kaj kuriero estas sendita al la nacioj:Kolektigxu kaj iru kontraux gxin, kaj levigxu por batalo.

¹⁴I have heard a rumour from Jehovah, and an ambassador is sent among the nations: -- Gather yourselves together, and come against her and rise up for the battle.

¹⁵CXar jen Mi faris vin malgranda inter la nacioj, malestimata inter la homoj.

¹⁵For behold, I have made thee small among the nations, despised among men.

¹⁶Via malhumileco kaj la fiereco de via koro trompis vin, kiu logxas en la fendegoj de la rokoj kaj okupas suprojn de montoj; sed se vi ecx arangxus vian neston tiel alte, kiel aglo, ecx de tie Mi jxetos vin malsupren, diras la Eternulo.

¹⁶Thy terribleness, the pride of thy heart, hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill. Though thou shouldest make thy nest high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Jehovah.

¹⁷Edom farigxos objekto de teruro; cxiu, kiu pasos preter li, miros kaj fajfos pri cxiuj liaj vundoj.

¹⁷And Edom shall be an astonishment: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss, because of all the plagues thereof.

¹⁸Kiel renversitaj estas Sodom kaj Gomora kaj iliaj najbarlokoj, diras la Eternulo, tiel ankaux tie neniu restos, neniu homido tie logxos.

¹⁸As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, and their neighbour cities, saith Jehovah, no one shall dwell there, neither shall a son of man sojourn therein.

¹⁹Jen kiel leono li supreniras de la majesta Jordan kontraux la fortikan logxejon; cxar Mi rapide forpelos ilin de tie, kaj Mi estrigos tie tiun, kiu estas elektita. CXar kiu estas simila al Mi? kiu donos al Mi decidojn? kiu estas la pasxtisto, kiu povas kontrauxstari al Mi?

¹⁹Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will make them suddenly run away from it; and who is a chosen [man] whom I shall appoint over her? For who is like me? and who will assign me a time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

²⁰Tial auxskultu la decidon de la Eternulo, kiun Li decidis pri Edom, kaj Liajn intencojn, kiujn Li havas pri la logxantoj de Teman:la knaboj- pasxtistoj ilin fortrenos kaj detruos super ili ilian logxejon.

²⁰Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah, which he hath taken against Edom, and his purposes which he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: The little ones of the flock shall certainly draw them away; he shall certainly make their habitation desolate for them.

²¹De la bruo de ilia falo ektremos la tero, ilian kriadon oni auxdos cxe la Rugxa Maro.

²¹The earth quaketh at the sound of their fall; there is a cry, the sound whereof is heard in the Red sea.

²²Jen li levigxos kiel aglo, ekflugos kaj etendos siajn flugilojn super Bocra; kaj la koro de la herooj de Edom en tiu tago estos kiel la koro de virino cxe la naskodoloroj.

²²Behold, he shall come up, and fly as an eagle, and spread forth his wings against Bozrah; and at that day the heart of the mighty men of Edom shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

²³Pri Damasko:Hontigitaj estas HXamat kaj Arpad, cxar, auxdinte malbonan sciigon, ili senkuragxigxis; cxe la maro ili tiel ektremis, ke ili ne povas trankviligxi.

²³Concerning Damascus. Hamath is put to shame, and Arpad; for they have heard evil tidings, they are melted away: there is distress on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

²⁴Damasko senkuragxigxis, turnis sin, por forkuri; tremo atakis gxin, doloro kaj turmentoj gxin kaptis, kiel naskantinon.

²⁴Damascus is grown feeble: she turneth herself to flee, and terror hath seized on her; trouble and sorrows have taken hold of her as of a woman in travail.

²⁵Kial ne estas riparita la glora urbo, la gaja urbo?

²⁵How is not the town of praise forsaken, the city of my joy!

²⁶Tial gxiaj junuloj falos sur gxiaj stratoj, kaj cxiuj militistoj pereos en tiu tago, diras la Eternulo Cebaot.

²⁶Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets, and all the men of war be cut off in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts.

²⁷Kaj Mi ekbruligos fajron sur la murego de Damasko, kaj gxi ekstermos la palacojn de Ben-Hadad.

²⁷And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.

²⁸Pri Kedar, kaj pri la regnoj de HXacor, kiujn venkobatis Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel: Tiele diras la Eternulo:Levigxu, iru kontraux Kedaron, kaj ruinigu la filojn de la oriento.

²⁸Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote. Thus saith Jehovah: Arise, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.

²⁹Iliaj tendoj kaj sxafaroj estos prenitaj; iliajn tapisxojn kaj cxiujn iliajn vazojn kaj iliajn kamelojn oni forprenos, kaj oni kriados al ili:Teruro cxirkauxe.

²⁹Their tents and their flocks shall they take; their curtains and all their vessels, and their camels, shall they carry away for themselves; and they shall cry unto them, Terror on every side!

³⁰Forkuru, forigxu rapide, kasxu vin profunde, ho logxantoj de HXacor, diras la Eternulo; cxar Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel, faras pri vi decidon kaj havas intencon kontraux vi.

³⁰Flee, wander very far, dwell deep down, ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith Jehovah; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.

³¹Levigxu, iru kontraux popolon trankvilan, kiu sidas en sendangxereco, diras la Eternulo; gxi ne havas pordojn nek riglilojn, ili vivas izolite.

³¹Arise, get you up against the nation at ease, that dwelleth securely, saith Jehovah, which hath neither gates nor bars: they dwell alone.

³²Kaj iliaj kameloj estos forrabitaj, kaj la multo de iliaj brutoj farigxos rabakiro; kaj Mi dispelos ilin al cxiuj ventoj, ilin, kiuj tondas la harojn sur la tempioj, kaj de cxiuj flankoj Mi venigos ilian malfelicxon, diras la Eternulo.

³²And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil; and I will scatter to every wind them that have the corners [of their beard] cut off, and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof, saith Jehovah.

³³Kaj HXacor farigxos logxejo de sxakaloj, eterna dezerto; neniu tie restos, kaj neniu homido tie logxos.

³³And Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation for ever. No one shall dwell there, neither shall a son of man sojourn therein.

³⁴Jen estas la vorto de la Eternulo, kiu aperis al la profeto Jeremia pri Elam, en la komenco de la regxado de Cidkija, regxo de Judujo:

³⁴The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

³⁵Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:Jen Mi rompos la pafarkon de Elam, ilian cxefan forton.

³⁵Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

³⁶Kaj Mi venigos sur Elamon kvar ventojn de la kvar finoj de la cxielo, kaj Mi dispelos ilin al cxiuj tiuj ventoj; kaj ne ekzistos popolo, al kiu ne venus la dispelitoj el Elam.

³⁶And upon Elam will I bring the four winds, from the four ends of the heavens, and I will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

³⁷Kaj Mi senkuragxigos Elamon antaux iliaj malamikoj, kaj antaux tiuj, kiuj celas ilian morton; kaj Mi venigos sur ilin malbonon, la flamon de Mia kolero, diras la Eternulo, kaj Mi persekutos ilin per la glavo, gxis Mi ekstermos ilin.

³⁷And I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life; and I will bring evil upon them, my fierce anger, saith Jehovah; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.

³⁸Kaj Mi starigos Mian tronon en Elam, kaj Mi pereigos tie la regxon kaj la eminentulojn, diras la Eternulo.

³⁸And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence king and princes, saith Jehovah.

³⁹Tamen en la tempo estonta Mi revenigos la forkaptitojn de Elam, diras la Eternulo.

³⁹But it shall come to pass at the end of the days, I will turn the captivity of Elam, saith Jehovah.
