¹Post tio Jesuo denove sin montris al la discxiploj apud la maro de Tiberias; kaj li montris sin jene.

¹After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he manifested [himself] thus.

²Estis kune Simon Petro, kaj Tomaso, nomata Didimo, kaj Natanael el Kana Galilea, kaj la filoj de Zebedeo, kaj aliaj du el liaj discxiploj.

²There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael who was of Cana of Galilee, and the [sons] of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.

³Simon Petro diris al ili:Mi iras, por fisxkapti. Ili diris al li:Ni ankaux iras kun vi. Ili do eliris, kaj iris sur la sxipon; kaj tiun nokton ili nenion kaptis.

³Simon Peter says to them, I go to fish. They say to him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and went on board, and that night took nothing.

⁴Sed cxe la tagigxo Jesuo staris sur la marbordo; tamen la discxiploj ne sciis, ke gxi estas Jesuo.

⁴And early morn already breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; the disciples however did not know that it was Jesus.

⁵Tiam Jesuo diris al ili:Infanoj, cxu vi havas ian mangxajxon? Ili respondis al li:Ne.

⁵Jesus therefore says to them, Children, have ye anything to eat? They answered him, No.

⁶Kaj li diris al ili:JXetu la reton cxe la dekstra flanko de la sxipo, kaj vi trovos. Ili do gxin eljxetis; kaj pro la multeco de la fisxoj ili ne plu povis gxin treni.

⁶And he said to them, Cast the net at the right side of the ship and ye will find. They cast therefore, and they could no longer draw it, from the multitude of fishes.

⁷Tiu discxiplo, kiun Jesuo amis, diris al Petro:GXi estas la Sinjoro. Kiam do Simon Petro auxdis, ke gxi estas la Sinjoro, li alzonis al si sian kitelon (cxar li estis nuda) kaj jxetis sin en la maron.

⁷That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. Simon Peter therefore, having heard that it was the Lord, girded his overcoat [on him] (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea;

⁸Sed la aliaj discxiploj venis en la sxipeto (cxar ili estis ne malproksime de la tero, sed nur cxirkaux ducent ulnoj), trenante la reton plenan de fisxoj.

⁸and the other disciples came in the small boat, for they were not far from the land, but somewhere about two hundred cubits, dragging the net of fishes.

⁹Kaj kiam ili eliris sur la teron, ili vidis fajron karban arangxitan tie, kaj fisxon kusxantan sur gxi, kaj panon.

⁹When therefore they went out on the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.

¹⁰Jesuo diris al ili:Alportu el la fisxoj, kiujn vi jxus kaptis.

¹⁰Jesus says to them, Bring of the fishes which ye have now taken.

¹¹Simon Petro iris sur la sxipon, kaj tiris la reton al la tero, plenan de grandaj fisxoj, cent kvindek tri; kaj kvankam estis tiel multaj, tamen la reto ne dissxirigxis.

¹¹Simon Peter went up and drew the net to the land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and though there were so many, the net was not rent.

¹²Jesuo diris al ili:Venu, matenmangxu. Kaj neniu el la discxiploj kuragxis lin demandi:Kiu vi estas? sciante, ke gxi estas la Sinjoro.

¹²Jesus says to them, Come [and] dine. But none of the disciples dared inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

¹³Jesuo venis kaj prenis la panon kaj donis al ili, kaj tiel same la fisxon.

¹³Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, and the fish in like manner.

¹⁴Tiu estas jam la tria fojo, kiam aperis Jesuo al siaj discxiploj, post sia relevigxo el la mortintoj.

¹⁴This is already the third time that Jesus had been manifested to the disciples, being risen from among [the] dead.

¹⁵Post la matenmangxo Jesuo diris al Simon Petro:Simon, filo de Jona, cxu vi amas min pli, ol tiuj? Li diris al li:Jes, Sinjoro; vi scias, ke mi vin amas. Li diris al li:Pasxtu miajn sxafidojn.

¹⁵When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs.

¹⁶Li diris al li ankoraux la duan fojon:Simon, filo de Jona, cxu vi min amas? Li diris al li:Jes, Sinjoro; vi scias, ke mi vin amas. Li diris al li:Zorgu pri miaj sxafoj.

¹⁶He says to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep.

¹⁷Li diris al li la trian fojon:Simon, filo de Jona, cxu vi min amas? Petro cxagrenigxis, ke li diris al li la trian fojon:CXu vi min amas? kaj respondis al li:Sinjoro, vi scias cxion; vi scias, ke mi vin amas. Jesuo diris al li:Pasxtu miajn sxafojn.

¹⁷He says to him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.

¹⁸Vere, vere, mi diras al vi:Kiam vi estis juna, vi zonis vin, kaj iris, kien vi volis; sed kiam vi maljunigxos, vi etendos viajn manojn, kaj alia vin zonos, kaj portos vin, kien vi ne volos.

¹⁸Verily, verily, I say to thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst where thou desiredst; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and bring thee where thou dost not desire.

¹⁹Tion li diris, montrante per aludo, per kia morto li gloros Dion. Kaj dirinte tion, li diris al li:Sekvu min.

¹⁹But he said this signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he says to him, Follow me.

²⁰Petro, sin turninte, vidis malantauxe la discxiplon, kiun Jesuo amis (kiu ankaux klinis sin al lia brusto dum la vespermangxo, kun la diro:Sinjoro, kiu estas la perfidanta vin?).

²⁰Peter, turning round, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned at supper on his breast, and said, Lord, who is it that delivers thee up?

²¹Petro do, vidinte lin, diris al Jesuo:Sinjoro, kaj kion pri cxi tiu?

²¹Peter, seeing him, says to Jesus, Lord, and what [of] this [man]?

²²Jesuo diris al li:Se mi volas, ke li restu, gxis mi venos, kio estas al vi? vi sekvu min.

²²Jesus says to him, If I will that he abide until I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me.

²³Tial inter la fratoj disiris la famo, ke tiu discxiplo ne mortos; tamen Jesuo ne diris al li, ke li ne mortos, sed:Se mi volas, ke li restu, gxis mi venos, kio estas al vi?

²³This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what [is that] to thee?

²⁴Tiu estas la discxiplo, kiu atestas pri tio kaj skribis tion:kaj ni scias, ke lia atesto estas vera.

²⁴This is the disciple who bears witness concerning these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his witness is true.

²⁵Estas ankaux multaj aliaj faroj, kiujn Jesuo faris; kaj mi supozas, ke se cxiu el ili estus skribita detale, la tuta mondo ne havus lokon por la skribotaj libroj.

²⁵And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would contain the books written.
