¹Ne faru al vi idolojn, kaj figurojn kaj statuojn ne starigu cxe vi, kaj sxtonojn kun bildoj ne kusxigu en via lando, por adorklinigxi super ili:cxar Mi estas la Eternulo, via Dio.

¹Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

²Miajn sabatojn observu, kaj Mian sanktejon respektegu:Mi estas la Eternulo.

²Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

³Se vi agos laux Miaj legxoj kaj observos Miajn ordonojn kaj plenumos ilin,

³If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,

⁴tiam Mi donos al vi pluvojn iliatempe, kaj la tero donos siajn produktajxojn, kaj la kampa arbo donos siajn fruktojn.

⁴then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;

⁵Kaj la tempo de drasxado dauxros cxe vi gxis la enkolektado de la vinberoj, kaj la enkolektado de vinberoj dauxros gxis la semado, kaj vi mangxos vian panon sate kaj vi logxos sendangxere en via lando.

⁵and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.

⁶Kaj Mi donos pacon al via lando, kaj kiam vi kusxos, neniu vin timigos; kaj Mi forigos la malbonajn bestojn el la lando, kaj glavo ne trapasos vian landon.

⁶And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will put away the evil beasts out of the land; and the sword shall not go through your land.

⁷Kaj vi pelos viajn malamikojn, kaj ili falos antaux vi de glavo.

⁷And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword;

⁸Kaj kvin al vi pelos centon, kaj cent el vi pelos dekmilon; kaj viaj malamikoj falos antaux vi de glavo.

⁸and five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall beside you by the sword.

⁹Kaj Mi turnos Min al vi kaj kreskigos vin kaj multigos vin, kaj Mi fortikigos Mian interligon kun vi.

⁹And I will turn my face towards you and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

¹⁰Kaj vi mangxos grenon malnovan pasintjaran, kaj vi elportos la malnovan pro la nova.

¹⁰And ye shall eat old store, and clear away the old because of the new.

¹¹Kaj Mi starigos Mian logxejon inter vi, kaj Mia animo vin ne abomenos.

¹¹And I will set my habitation among you; and my soul shall not abhor you;

¹²Kaj Mi iros inter vi, kaj Mi estos via Dio, kaj vi estos Mia popolo.

¹²and I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be to me a people.

¹³Mi estas la Eternulo, via Dio, kiu elkondukis vin el la lando Egipta, por ke vi ne estu iliaj sklavoj; kaj Mi rompis la bastonojn de via jugo kaj ekirigis vin kun levita kapo.

¹³I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright.

¹⁴Sed se vi ne obeos Min kaj ne faros cxiujn cxi tiujn ordonojn;

¹⁴But if ye hearken not unto me, and do not all these commandments,

¹⁵kaj se vi malestimos Miajn legxojn kaj se via animo abomenos Miajn decidojn, kaj vi ne plenumos cxiujn Miajn ordonojn, rompante Mian interligon:

¹⁵and if ye shall despise my statutes, and if your soul shall abhor mine ordinances, so that ye do not all my commandments, that ye break my covenant,

¹⁶tiam ankaux Mi faros al vi tion:Mi sendos sur vin teruron, maldikigxon, kaj febron, kiuj konsumas la okulojn kaj senfortigas la animon; kaj vi semos viajn semojn vane, ilin mangxos viaj malamikoj.

¹⁶I also will do this unto you -- I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

¹⁷Kaj Mi turnos Mian vizagxon kontraux vin, kaj vi falos antaux viaj malamikoj, kaj regos vin viaj malamantoj, kaj vi kuros, kiam neniu pelos vin.

¹⁷And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

¹⁸Kaj se vi malgraux cxi tio ne obeos Min, tiam Mi sepoble pligrandigos la punon pro viaj pekoj.

¹⁸And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins,

¹⁹Kaj Mi rompos vian fieran obstinecon, kaj Mi faros vian cxielon kiel fero kaj vian teron kiel kupro.

¹⁹and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze,

²⁰Kaj vane konsumigxos via forto; via tero ne donos siajn produktajxojn, kaj la arboj de la tero ne donos siajn fruktojn.

²⁰and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

²¹Kaj se vi malgraux tio spitos Min kaj ne volos obei Min, tiam Mi aldonos sepoble da frapoj laux viaj pekoj.

²¹And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring sevenfold more plagues upon you according to your sins.

²²Kaj Mi venigos sur vin la sovagxajn bestojn, kaj ili formangxos viajn infanojn kaj ekstermos viajn brutojn kaj malmultigos vin tiel, ke viaj vojoj dezertigxos.

²²And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate.

²³Se ankaux per tio vi ne humiligxos, sed plue agos kontraux Mi:

²³And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me,

²⁴tiam ankaux Mi agos kontraux vi, kaj Mi ankaux frapos vin sepoble pro viaj pekoj.

²⁴then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins.

²⁵Kaj Mi venigos sur vin vengxan glavon, kiu vengxos pro la interligo; kaj vi kolektigxos en viaj urboj, kaj Mi sendos peston en vian mezon, kaj vi estos fordonitaj en la manojn de la malamiko.

²⁵And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

²⁶Kiam Mi rompos al vi la apogon de la pano, tiam dek virinoj bakos vian panon en unu forno kaj redonos vian panon pesante, kaj vi mangxos kaj ne satigxos.

²⁶When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

²⁷Kaj se vi malgraux tio ne obeos Min, kaj spitos Min:

²⁷And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me,

²⁸tiam Mi iros kontraux vin kolere, kaj Mi punos vin sepoble pro viaj pekoj.

²⁸then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.

²⁹Kaj vi mangxos la karnon de viaj filoj, kaj la karnon de viaj filinoj vi mangxos.

²⁹And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

³⁰Kaj Mi detruos viajn altajxojn kaj ruinigos viajn kolonojn de la suno, kaj Mi jxetos viajn kadavrojn sur la rompitajxojn de viaj idoloj, kaj Mia animo abomenos vin.

³⁰And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.

³¹Kaj Mi faros el viaj urboj dezerton, kaj Mi ruinigos viajn sanktejojn, kaj Mi ne flaros viajn agrablajn odorajxojn.

³¹And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours.

³²Kaj Mi dezertigos la teron, ke miregos pri gxi viaj malamikoj, kiuj eklogxos sur gxi.

³²And I will bring the land into desolation; that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.

³³Kaj vin Mi disjxetos inter la popolojn, kaj Mi nudigos post vi glavon; kaj via tero estos dezerta kaj viaj urboj estos ruinigitaj.

³³And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste.

³⁴Tiam la tero ricevos kontentigon pri siaj sabatoj dum la tuta tempo de sia dezerteco, kiam vi estos en la lando de viaj malamikoj; tiam ripozos la tero kaj kontentigos sin pri siaj sabatoj.

³⁴Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, when ye are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

³⁵Dum la tuta tempo de dezerteco gxi ripozos, kiom gxi ne ripozis en viaj sabatoj, kiam vi logxis sur gxi.

³⁵All the days of the desolation it shall rest, [the days in] which it did not rest on your sabbaths, when ye dwelt therein.

³⁶Kaj al la restintoj el vi Mi sendos timon en ilian koron en la lando de iliaj malamikoj; kaj pelos ilin brueto de falanta folio, kaj ili kuros, kiel oni kuras de glavo, kaj ili falos, kiam neniu ilin persekutos.

³⁶And as to those that remain of you -- I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth;

³⁷Kaj ili falos unu sur alian, kiel de glavo, dum neniu ilin pelos; kaj vi ne havos forton por stari antaux viaj malamikoj.

³⁷and they shall stumble one over another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

³⁸Kaj vi pereos inter la popoloj, kaj formangxos vin la lando de viaj malamikoj.

³⁸And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

³⁹Kaj la restintoj el vi senfortigxos pro siaj pekoj en la landoj de viaj malamikoj, kaj ankaux pro la pekoj de siaj patroj ili senfortigxos.

³⁹And they that remain of you shall waste away through their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also through the iniquities of their fathers shall they waste away with them.

⁴⁰Tiam ili konfesos sian kulpon kaj la kulpon de siaj patroj en la malbonagoj, kiujn ili faris kontraux Mi kaj pri kio ili spitis Min.

⁴⁰And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, through their unfaithfulness wherein they were unfaithful to me, and also that they have walked contrary unto me,

⁴¹Ankaux Mi iris kontraux ilin kaj envenigis ilin en la landon de iliaj malamikoj; kaj se tiam humiligxos ilia koro ne cirkumcidita kaj se ili donos kontentigon pri siaj pekoj,

⁴¹so that I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

⁴²tiam Mi rememoros Mian interligon kun Jakob, kaj Mian interligon kun Isaak kaj Mian interligon kun Abraham Mi rememoros, kaj la landon Mi rememoros.

⁴²I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

⁴³La lando estos forlasita de ili kaj ricevos kontentigon pri siaj sabatoj, kiam gxi dezertigxos post ili; kaj ili donos kontentigon pri siaj kulpoj, cxar ili malrespektis Miajn decidojn kaj Miajn legxojn ilia animo abomenis.

⁴³For the land shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, when it is in desolation without them; and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

⁴⁴Kaj tamen, kiam ili estos en la lando de siaj malamikoj, Mi ne malestimos ilin, kaj ne abomenos ilin tiom, por ekstermi ilin, por neniigi Mian interligon kun ili; cxar Mi estas la Eternulo, ilia Dio.

⁴⁴And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, and will not abhor them, to make an end of them utterly, to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God.

⁴⁵Kaj Mi rememoros por ili la interligon kun la antauxuloj, kiujn Mi elkondukis el la lando Egipta antaux la okuloj de la popoloj, por esti ilia Dio:Mi estas la Eternulo.

⁴⁵But I will remember toward them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah.

⁴⁶Tio estas la legxoj kaj decidoj kaj instruoj, kiujn starigis la Eternulo inter Si kaj la Izraelidoj sur la monto Sinaj per Moseo.

⁴⁶These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which Jehovah made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
