¹Tiam la regno de la cxielo estos komparata al dek virgulinoj, kiuj prenis siajn lampojn kaj eliris renkonte al la fiancxo.

¹Then shall the kingdom of the heavens be made like to ten virgins that having taken their torches, went forth to meet the bridegroom.

²Kaj kvin el ili estis malprudentaj, kaj kvin estis prudentaj.

²And five of them were prudent and five foolish.

³La malprudentaj, prenante la lampojn, ne prenis oleon kun si;

³They that were foolish took their torches and did not take oil with them;

⁴sed la prudentaj prenis oleon en la vazoj kun siaj lampoj.

⁴but the prudent took oil in their vessels with their torches.

⁵Kaj kiam la fiancxo malfruis, ili cxiuj malviglis kaj dormis.

⁵Now the bridegroom tarrying, they all grew heavy and slept.

⁶Sed je la noktomezo estis ekkrio:Jen la fiancxo! eliru al li renkonte.

⁶But in [the] middle of [the] night there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom; go forth to meet him.

⁷Tiam cxiuj tiuj virgulinoj levigxis, kaj ordigis siajn lampojn.

⁷Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their torches.

⁸Kaj la malprudentaj diris al la prudentaj:Donu al ni el via oleo, cxar niaj lampoj estingigxas.

⁸And the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil, for our torches are going out.

⁹Sed la prudentaj respondis, dirante:Eble ne estos suficxe por ni kaj vi; iru prefere al la vendistoj, kaj acxetu por vi mem.

⁹But the prudent answered saying, [We cannot,] lest it might not suffice for us and for you. Go rather to those that sell, and buy for yourselves.

¹⁰Kaj dum ili iris, por acxeti, alvenis la fiancxo; kaj tiuj, kiuj estis pretaj, eniris kun li al la edzigxa festo, kaj la pordo estis fermita.

¹⁰But as they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and the [ones that were] ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

¹¹Poste venis ankaux la ceteraj virgulinoj, dirante:Sinjoro, sinjoro, malfermu al ni.

¹¹Afterwards come also the rest of the virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us;

¹²Sed li responde diris:Vere mi diras al vi:Mi vin ne konas.

¹²but he answering said, Verily I say unto you, I do not know you.

¹³Tial viglu, cxar vi ne scias la tagon nek la horon.

¹³Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.

¹⁴CXar tiel estas, kvazaux viro, forvojagxonte, alvokis siajn servistojn, kaj komisiis al ili siajn posedajxojn.

¹⁴For [it is] as [if] a man going away out of a country called his own bondmen and delivered to them his substance.

¹⁵Kaj al unu li donis kvin talantojn, al alia du, al alia unu; al cxiu laux lia kapableco; kaj li tuj forvojagxis.

¹⁵And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his particular ability, and immediately went away out of the country.

¹⁶Kaj tiu, kiu ricevis la kvin talantojn, iris kaj negocadis per ili, kaj gajnis pluajn kvin talantojn.

¹⁶And he that had received the five talents went and trafficked with them, and made five other talents.

¹⁷Tiel same ankaux tiu, kiu ricevis la du, gajnis pluajn du.

¹⁷In like manner also he that [had received] the two, [he also] gained two others.

¹⁸Sed tiu, kiu ricevis la unu, foriris kaj fosis en la tero, kaj kasxis la monon de sia sinjoro.

¹⁸But he that had received the one went and dug in the earth, and hid the money of his lord.

¹⁹Kaj post longa tempo la sinjoro de tiuj servistoj venis, kaj faris kun ili kalkulon.

¹⁹And after a long time the lord of those bondmen comes and reckons with them.

²⁰Kaj tiu, kiu ricevis la kvin talantojn, venis kaj alportis pluajn kvin talantojn, dirante:Sinjoro, vi komisiis al mi kvin talantojn; jen mi gajnis pluajn kvin talantojn.

²⁰And he that had received the five talents came to [him] and brought five other talents, saying, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me five talents; behold, I have gained five other talents besides them.

²¹His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter into the joy of thy lord.

²²Kaj venis ankaux tiu, kiu ricevis la du talantojn, kaj diris:Sinjoro, vi komisiis al mi du talantojn; jen mi gajnis pluajn du talantojn.

²²And he also that had received the two talents came to [him] and said, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me two talents; behold, I have gained two other talents besides them.

²³Lia sinjoro diris al li:Bone, vi bona kaj fidela servisto; vi estis fidela pri malmultaj aferoj, mi starigos vin super multaj; envenu en la gxojon de via sinjoro.

²³His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

²⁴Kaj venis ankaux tiu, kiu ricevis la unu talanton, kaj diris:Sinjoro, mi sciis, ke vi estas severa homo, rikoltanta, kie vi ne semis, kaj kolektanta, kie vi ne dissxutis;

²⁴And he also that had received the one talent coming to [him] said, [My] lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hadst not sowed, and gathering from where thou hadst not scattered,

²⁵kaj mi timis, kaj foriris, kaj kasxis vian talanton en la tero; jen vi havas vian proprajxon.

²⁵and being afraid I went away and hid thy talent in the earth; behold, thou hast that which is thine.

²⁶Sed lia sinjoro responde diris al li:Vi malbona kaj mallaborema servisto, vi sciis, ke mi rikoltas, kie mi ne semis, kaj kolektas, kie mi ne dissxutis;

²⁶And his lord answering said to him, Wicked and slothful bondman, thou knewest that I reap where I had not sowed, and gather from where I had not scattered;

²⁷pro tio vi devus doni mian monon al la bankistoj, kaj veninte, mi ricevus mian proprajxon kun procento.

²⁷thou oughtest then to have put my money to the money-changers, and when I came I should have got what is mine with interest.

²⁸Forprenu de li do la talanton, kaj donu gxin al tiu, kiu havas la dek talantojn.

²⁸Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that has the ten talents:

²⁹CXar al cxiu, kiu havas, estos donite, kaj li havos abundegon; sed for de tiu, kiu ne havas, ecx tio, kion li havas, estos prenita.

²⁹for to every one that has shall be given, and he shall be in abundance; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.

³⁰And cast out the useless bondman into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

³¹Sed kiam la Filo de homo venos en sia gloro, kaj cxiuj angxeloj kun li, tiam li sidos sur la trono de sia gloro;

³¹But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit down upon his throne of glory,

³²kaj antaux li kolektigxos cxiuj nacioj, kaj li apartigos ilin unu de alia, kiel pasxtisto apartigas la sxafojn for de la kaproj;

³²and all the nations shall be gathered before him; and he shall separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;

³³kaj li starigos la sxafojn dekstre de li, kaj la kaprojn maldekstre.

³³and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on [his] left.

³⁴Tiam diros la Regxo al tiuj, kiuj staras dekstre de li:Venu, vi benataj de mia Patro, heredu la regnon preparitan por vi de post la komenco de la mondo;

³⁴Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from [the] world's foundation:

³⁵cxar mi malsatis, kaj vi donis al mi mangxi; mi soifis, kaj vi donis al mi trinki; mi estis fremda, kaj vi gastigis min;

³⁵for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;

³⁶nuda, kaj vi vestis min; mi malsanis, kaj vi vizitis min; mi estis en malliberejo, kaj vi venis al mi.

³⁶naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.

³⁷Tiam respondos al li la justuloj, dirante:Sinjoro, kiam ni vin vidis malsata, kaj vin satigis? aux soifanta, kaj trinkigis vin?

³⁷Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink?

³⁸Kaj kiam ni vidis vin fremda kaj gastigis vin? aux nuda, kaj vin vestis?

³⁸and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee?

³⁹Kaj kiam ni vidis vin malsana aux en malliberejo, kaj venis al vi?

³⁹and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee?

⁴⁰Kaj la Regxo respondos kaj diros al ili:Vere mi diras al vi:Kiom vi faris al unu el cxi tiuj miaj fratoj la plej malgrandaj, tiom vi faris al mi.

⁴⁰And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.

⁴¹Tiam li diros al tiuj, kiuj staras maldekstre:For de mi, vi malbenitaj, en la eternan fajron, kiu estas preparita por la diablo kaj liaj angxeloj;

⁴¹Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴²cxar mi malsatis, kaj vi ne donis al mi mangxi; mi soifis, kaj vi ne donis al mi trinki;

⁴²for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;

⁴³mi estis fremda, kaj vi ne gastigis min; nuda, kaj vi ne vestis min; malsana kaj en malliberejo, kaj vi ne vizitis min.

⁴³I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.

⁴⁴Tiam ili ankaux respondos, dirante:Sinjoro, kiam ni vidis vin malsata, aux soifanta, aux fremda, aux nuda, aux malsana, aux en malliberejo, kaj ne servis al vi?

⁴⁴Then shall *they* also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee?

⁴⁵Tiam li respondos al ili, dirante:Vere mi diras al vi:Kiom vi ne faris al unu el cxi tiuj la plej malgrandaj, tiom vi ne faris al mi.

⁴⁵Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.

⁴⁶Kaj cxi tiuj foriros en eternan punon, sed la justuloj en eternan vivon.

⁴⁶And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal.
