¹Mi diris:Auxskultu, ho cxefoj de Jakob kaj estroj de la domo de Izrael! Vi devas ja scii la juron;

¹And I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know judgment?

²tamen vi malamas la bonon, amas la malbonon; vi desxiras de ili ilian hauxton kaj la karnon de iliaj ostoj.

²Ye who hate the good, and love evil; who pluck off their skin from them, and their flesh from off their bones;

³Kaj kiam ili mangxas la karnon de mia popolo, desxiras de ili ilian hauxton, rompas kaj dispecigas iliajn ostojn kvazaux por poto kaj la karnon kvazaux por kaldrono:

³and who eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces as for the pot, and as flesh within the cauldron.

⁴tiam ili krios al la Eternulo; sed Li ne respondos al ili, Li kasxos antaux ili Sian vizagxon en tiu tempo, cxar ili faris siajn malbonajn agojn.

⁴Then shall they cry unto Jehovah, but he will not answer them; and he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.

⁵Tiele diras la Eternulo pri la profetoj, kiu erarigas mian popolon, kiuj mordas per siaj dentoj kaj predikas pacon, kaj kontraux tiu, kiu ne donas ion en ilian busxon, ili predikas militon:

⁵Thus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that cause my people to err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace! but whoso putteth not into their mouths they prepare war against him:

⁶Tial estos cxe vi nokto, sed ne vizioj, mallumo, sed ne antauxdiroj; subiros la suno super la profetoj, kaj mallumigxos super ili la tago.

⁶therefore ye shall have night without a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, without divination; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.

⁷Hontos tiuj viziistoj, mokindaj farigxos la antauxdiristoj, kaj ili cxiuj fermos sian busxon; cxar ili ne havas respondon de Dio.

⁷And the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; and they shall all cover their lips, for there will be no answer of God.

⁸Sed mi estas plena de forto de la spirito de la Eternulo, de praveco kaj kuragxo, por montri al Jakob lian krimon kaj al Izrael lian pekon.

⁸But truly I am filled with power by the Spirit of Jehovah, and with judgment and with might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

⁹Auxskultu cxi tion, ho cxefoj de la domo de Jakob kaj estroj de la domo de Izrael, kiuj abomenas juron kaj kurbigas cxion rektan,

⁹Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity,

¹⁰kiuj konstruas Cionon per sango kaj Jerusalemon per maljustajxoj.

¹⁰that build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with unrighteousness.

¹¹GXiaj cxefoj jugxas pro subacxeto, gxiaj pastroj instruas pro pago, kaj gxiaj profetoj antauxdiras pro mono; tamen ili apogas sin sur la Eternulo, kaj diras:La Eternulo estas ja meze de ni, ne trafos nin malfelicxo.

¹¹The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet do they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.

¹²Tial pro vi Cion estos plugita kiel kampo, Jerusalem farigxos ruinajxo, kaj la monto de la templo farigxos arbara altajxo.

¹²Therefore shall Zion for your sake be ploughed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
