¹Kaj la Eternulo ekparolis al Moseo, dirante:

¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

²Parolu al Aaron, kaj diru al li:Kiam vi ekbruligos la lucernojn, tiam sur la antauxan flankon de la kandelabro lumu la sep lucernoj.

²Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

³Kaj Aaron tiel faris; sur la antauxan flankon de la kandelabro li lumigis la lucernojn, kiel la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo.

³And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

⁴Kaj jen estas la arangxo de la kandelabro:forgxita el oro, de gxia trunko gxis gxiaj floroj, forgxita gxi estis; laux la modelo, kiun montris la Eternulo al Moseo, tiel li faris la kandelabron.

⁴And this was the work of the candlestick: [it was] of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.

⁵Kaj la Eternulo ekparolis al Moseo, dirante:

⁵And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

⁶Prenu la Levidojn el inter la Izraelidoj kaj purigu ilin.

⁶Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

⁷Kaj tiel agu kun ili, por purigi ilin:aspergu ilin per akvo propeka, kaj ili prirazu sian tutan korpon kaj lavu siajn vestojn kaj purigu sin.

⁷And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.

⁸Kaj ili prenu bovidon kaj al gxi farunoferon, delikatan farunon, miksitan kun oleo, kaj duan bovidon prenu por pekofero.

⁸And they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.

⁹Kaj venigu la Levidojn antaux la tabernaklon de kunveno, kaj kunvenigu la tutan komunumon de la Izraelidoj.

⁹And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.

¹⁰Kaj alvenigu la Levidojn antaux la Eternulon, kaj la Izraelidoj metu siajn manojn sur la Levidojn.

¹⁰And thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

¹¹Kaj Aaron faru super la Levidoj skuon antaux la Eternulo en la nomo de la Izraelidoj, por ke ili komencu fari la servon al la Eternulo.

¹¹And Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.

¹²Kaj la Levidoj metu siajn manojn sur la kapojn de la bovidoj, kaj faru el unu pekoferon kaj el la dua bruloferon al la Eternulo, por pekliberigi la Levidojn.

¹²And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.

¹³Kaj starigu la Levidojn antaux Aaron kaj antaux liaj filoj, kaj faru super ili skuon antaux la Eternulo.

¹³And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.

¹⁴Kaj tiel apartigu la Levidojn el inter la Izraelidoj, kaj la Levidoj apartenu al Mi.

¹⁴And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.

¹⁵Kaj post tio la Levidoj eniros, por servi en la tabernaklo de kunveno, kiam vi estos puriginta ilin kaj plenuminta super ili la skuon.

¹⁵And afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.

¹⁶CXar ili estas fordonitaj al Mi el inter la Izraelidoj; anstataux cxiuj utermalfermintoj unuenaskitoj el cxiuj Izraelidoj Mi prenis ilin por Mi.

¹⁶For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

¹⁷CXar al Mi apartenas cxiuj unuenaskitoj de la Izraelidoj, el la homoj kaj el la brutoj; en la tago, en kiu Mi batis cxiujn unuenaskitojn en la lando Egipta, Mi sanktigis ilin por Mi.

¹⁷For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.

¹⁸Kaj Mi prenis la Levidojn anstataux cxiuj unuenaskitoj inter la Izraelidoj.

¹⁸And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

¹⁹Kaj Mi fordonis la Levidojn al Aaron kaj al liaj filoj el inter la Izraelidoj, por ke ili faru servon pro la Izraelidoj en la tabernaklo de kunveno kaj por pekliberigi la Izraelidojn; por ke ne trafu la Izraelidojn frapo, se la Izraelidoj alproksimigxus al la sanktejo.

¹⁹And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.

²⁰Kaj Moseo kaj Aaron kaj la tuta komunumo de la Izraelidoj agis kun la Levidoj konforme al cxio, kion la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo pri la Levidoj; tiel agis kun ili la Izraelidoj.

²⁰And Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.

²¹Kaj la Levidoj sin purigis kaj lavis siajn vestojn, kaj Aaron faris super ili skuon antaux la Eternulo, kaj Aaron pekliberigis ilin, por purigi ilin.

²¹And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

²²Kaj post tio la Levidoj eniris, por plenumi sian servon en la tabernaklo de kunveno antaux Aaron kaj antaux liaj filoj; kiel la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo pri la Levidoj, tiel oni agis kun ili.

²²And afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

²³Kaj la Eternulo ekparolis al Moseo, dirante:

²³And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴Jen estas, kio koncernas la Levidojn:de la agxo de dudek kvin jaroj kaj pli ili devas eniri en sian oficon pri la servado en la tabernaklo de kunveno.

²⁴This is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.

²⁵Kaj de la agxo de kvindek jaroj ili retirigxos el la ofico de la servado kaj ne servos plu.

²⁵And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;

²⁶Tiam ili servos siajn fratojn en la tabernaklo de kunveno, plenumante gardadon, sed ne farante servadon. Tiel agu kun la Levidoj koncerne ilian oficon.

²⁶but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve [in] the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.
