¹Tial, miaj fratoj amataj kaj alsopirataj, mia gxojo kaj mia krono, tiel staru fortike en la Sinjoro, miaj amataj.

¹So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved.

²Mi admonas Euxodian, kaj mi admonas Sintihxen, ke ili estu unuanimaj en la Sinjoro.

²I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord;

³Kaj mi petegas vin ankaux, sincera kunjugulo, helpu tiujn virinojn, cxar ili kunlaboris kun mi en la evangelio, kune kun Klemento kaj miaj ceteraj kunlaborantoj, kies nomoj estas en la libro de vivo.

³yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life.

⁴GXoju en la Sinjoro cxiam; denove mi diros:GXoju.

⁴Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

⁵Via mildeco estu konata al cxiuj. La Sinjoro estas proksima.

⁵Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near.

⁶Pri nenio trozorgu; sed pri cxio, per pregxo kaj peto kun dankesprimo, viaj deziroj sciigxu al Dio.

⁶Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

⁷Kaj la paco de Dio, kiu superas cxian intelekton, gardos viajn korojn kaj pensojn en Kristo Jesuo.

⁷and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus.

⁸Fine, fratoj, kio ajn estas vera, kio ajn honesta, kio ajn justa, kio ajn cxasta, kio ajn sxatinda, kio ajn bonfama; se estas ia virto, se estas ia lauxdo, tion pripensu.

⁸For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.

⁹Kion vi lernis kaj ricevis kaj auxdis kaj vidis en mi, tion faru; kaj la Dio de paco estos kun vi.

⁹What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

¹⁰Sed mi forte gxojas en la Sinjoro, ke vi jam nun revivigis vian zorgon pri mi; vi ja estis zorgemaj, sed mankis al vi oportuna tempo.

¹⁰But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity.

¹¹Tamen mi ne parolas rilate bezonon; cxar mi lernis, en kia ajn stato mi estas, en tio esti kontenta.

¹¹Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me *I* have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself.

¹²Mi scias humiligxi, kaj mi scias ankaux esti en abundeco; cxie kaj cxiel mi lernis la sekreton plenigxi kaj malsati, havi abundon kaj havi mankon.

¹²I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation.

¹³Mi cxion povas fari en tiu, kiu min fortikigas.

¹³I have strength for all things in him that gives me power.

¹⁴Tamen vi bone agis, partoprenante kun mi en mia suferado.

¹⁴But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction.

¹⁵Kaj vi mem, Filipianoj, ankaux scias, ke en la komenco de la evangelio, kiam mi foriris el Makedonujo, neniu eklezio komunikigxis kun mi rilate donadon kaj ricevadon, krom vi solaj;

¹⁵And know also *ye*, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save *ye* alone;

¹⁶cxar ecx en Tesaloniko vi pli ol unufoje sendis ion por mia bezono.

¹⁶for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need.

¹⁷Mi ne deziras la donacon; sed mi deziras la frukton, kiu plimultigxos por via profito.

¹⁷Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account.

¹⁸Sed mi havas cxion, kaj estas en abundeco; mi jam plenigxis, ricevinte per Epafrodito vian senditajxon, agrablan odorajxon, oferon akceptindan, kiu placxas al Dio.

¹⁸But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God.

¹⁹Kaj mia Dio satigos cxian vian bezonon, laux Sia ricxo en gloro en Kristo Jesuo.

¹⁹But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

²⁰Nun al nia Dio kaj Patro estu gloro por cxiam kaj eterne. Amen.

²⁰But to our God and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen.

²¹Salutu cxiun sanktulon en Kristo Jesuo. La fratoj, kiuj estas kun mi, vin salutas.

²¹Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you.

²²CXiuj sanktuloj vin salutas, precipe tiuj, kiuj estas el la domanaro de Cezaro.

²²All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar.

²³La graco de la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo estu kun via spirito.

²³The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen.
