¹At that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

²Tiele diras la Eternulo:En la dezerto trovis favoron popolo, kiu restis ne ekstermita de la glavo; Izrael iras al sia trankviligxo.

²Thus says Yahweh, The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

³Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

⁴Denove Mi arangxos vin, kaj vi estos arangxita, ho virgulino de Izrael; denove vi ornamos vin per viaj tamburinoj kaj eliros en dancrondojn de gajuloj.

⁴Again will I build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: again you shall be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

⁵Denove vi plantos vinbergxardenojn sur la montoj de Samario; oni plantos kaj ricevos fruktojn.

⁵Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy its fruit.

⁶CXar venos la tempo, kiam gardistoj sur la monto de Efraim vokos:Levigxu, kaj ni iru sur Cionon al la Eternulo, nia Dio.

⁶For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.

⁷CXar tiele diras la Eternulo:Kantu gxojon al Jakob kaj gxojkriu antaux la kapoj de la nacioj, proklamu, gloru, kaj diru:Savu, ho Eternulo, Vian popolon, la restajxon de Izrael.

⁷For thus says Yahweh, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish, praise, and say, Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

⁸Jen Mi venigos ilin el la lando norda, kaj kolektos ilin de la randoj de la tero, kune kun la blinduloj kaj lamuloj, gravedulinoj kaj naskintinoj; en granda amaso ili revenos cxi tien.

⁸Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

⁹Kun ploro ili venos, kun pregxoj Mi kondukos ilin; Mi irigos ilin apud torentoj da akvo, laux vojo gxusta, sur kiu ili ne falpusxigxos; cxar Mi farigxis patro por Izrael, kaj Efraim estas Mia unuenaskito.

⁹They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

¹⁰Auxskultu la vorton de la Eternulo, ho nacioj, kaj sciigu al la malproksimaj insuloj, kaj diru:La disjxetinto de Izrael kolektos lin kaj gardos lin, kiel pasxtanto sian pasxtataron.

¹⁰Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.

¹¹CXar la Eternulo elacxetis Jakobon kaj liberigis lin el la mano de plifortulo.

¹¹For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

¹²Kaj ili venos kaj kantos sur la altajxo de Cion; kaj ili rapidos al la bonajxoj de la Eternulo, al la greno, al la mosto, al la oleo, al la sxafidoj kaj bovidoj; kaj ilia animo estos kiel akvoricxa gxardeno, kaj ili ne plu havos malgxojon.

¹²They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

¹³Tiam virgulino gajos en la dancrondo, kaj kune ankaux junuloj kaj maljunuloj; kaj Mi sxangxos ilian malgxojon en gxojon, Mi konsolos ilin kaj gajigos ilin post ilia aflikto.

¹³Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

¹⁴I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says Yahweh.

¹⁵Thus says Yahweh: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

¹⁶Tiele diras la Eternulo:Detenu vian vocxon de plorado kaj viajn okulojn de larmoj; cxar ekzistas rekompenco por via laboro, diras la Eternulo, kaj ili revenos el la lando de la malamiko.

¹⁶Thus says Yahweh: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Yahweh; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

¹⁷Kaj ekzistas espero por via idaro, diras la Eternulo, kaj la filoj revenos en siajn limojn.

¹⁷There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and your children shall come again to their own border.

¹⁸Mi auxdis, kiel Efraim diras pentante:Vi punis min, kaj mi estas punita, kiel bovido ne dresita; konvertu min, kaj mi konvertigxos; cxar Vi, ho Eternulo, estas mia Dio.

¹⁸I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf: turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.

¹⁹Kiam mi konvertigxis, mi pentis; kaj kiam mi estis punita, mi batis min sur la femurojn; mi hontis kaj mi rugxigxis, cxar mi portas la malhonoron de mia juneco.

¹⁹Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I struck on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

²⁰CXu Efraim ne estas Mia kara filo, Mia amata infano? cxar kion ajn Mi parolis pri li, Mi tamen ankoraux rememoras lin; tial Mia interno afliktigxas pri li; Mi certe korfavoros lin, diras la Eternulo.

²⁰Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Yahweh.

²¹Starigu al vi gvidajn sxtonojn, arangxu al vi vojsignojn, atentu la vojon, laux kiu vi iris; revenu, virgulino de Izrael, revenu en cxi tiujn viajn urbojn.

²¹Set up road signs, make guideposts; set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went: turn again, virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

²²GXis kiam vi turnados vin, ho defalinta filino? CXar la Eternulo kreis ion novan sur la tero:virino cxirkauxos viron.

²²How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? for Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

²³Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael:Ankoraux oni parolos jenajn vortojn en la Juda lando kaj en gxiaj urboj, kiam Mi revenigos iliajn kaptitojn:La Eternulo vin benu, ho logxejo de justeco, sankta monto!

²³Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.

²⁴Kaj logxos apud gxi Jehuda kune kun cxiuj siaj urboj, la terkultivistoj kaj la vagantoj kun pasxtataroj.

²⁴Judah and all its cities shall dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.

²⁵For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

²⁷Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of animal.

²⁸It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says Yahweh.

²⁹En tiu tempo oni ne plu diros:La patroj mangxis nematurajn vinberojn, kaj la dentoj de la filoj agacigxis;

²⁹In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

³⁰sed cxiu mortos pro sia propra kulpo, la dentoj agacigxos cxe tiu, kiu mangxis la nematurajn vinberojn.

³⁰But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

³¹Jen venos la tempo, diras la Eternulo, kiam Mi faros kun la domo de Izrael kaj la domo de Jehuda interligon novan:

³¹Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

³²ne tian, kiel la interligo, kiun Mi faris kun iliaj patroj, en la tago, kiam Mi prenis ilian manon, por elkonduki ilin el la lando Egipta, la interligo, kiun ili malobeis kaj Mi devis altrudi al ili, diras la Eternulo;

³²not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh.

³³sed jen estas la interligo, kiun Mi faros kun la domo de Izrael post tiu tempo, diras la Eternulo:Mi metos Mian legxon en ilian internon, kaj sur ilia koro Mi gxin skribos, kaj Mi estos ilia Dio, kaj ili estos Mia popolo.

³³But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

³⁴and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

³⁵Tiele diras la Eternulo, kiu donas la sunon por lumo en la tago, legxojn al la luno kaj al la steloj por lumo en la nokto; kiu kvietigas la maron, kiam bruas gxiaj ondoj; kaj kies nomo estas Eternulo Cebaot:

³⁵Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name:

³⁶Se cxi tiuj legxoj neniigxos antaux Mi, diras la Eternulo, tiam ankaux la idaro de Izrael cxesos esti eterne popolo antaux Mi.

³⁶If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

³⁷Tiele diras la Eternulo:Se oni povos mezuri la cxielon supre kaj esplori la fundamenton de la tero malsupre, tiam Mi forpusxos la tutan idaron de Izrael pro cxio, kion ili faris, diras la Eternulo.

³⁷Thus says Yahweh: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

³⁸Jen venos la tempo, diras la Eternulo, kiam denove konstruigxos la urbo al la Eternulo, de la turo HXananel gxis la Pordego Angula.

³⁸Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the city shall be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.

³⁹Kaj la mezura sxnuro iros pluen gxis la monteto Gareb kaj turnigxos al Goa.

³⁹The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.

⁴⁰Kaj la tuta valo de kadavroj kaj de cindro, kaj cxiuj kampoj gxis la torento Kidron, gxis la angulo de la Pordego de CXevaloj oriente, estos sanktaj al la Eternulo, ne detruigxos kaj ne plu ruinigxos eterne.

⁴⁰The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Yahweh; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.
