¹La vorto de la Eternulo aperis al Jeremia duafoje, kiam li estis ankoraux tenata sur la korto de la malliberejo, nome:

¹Moreover the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

²Tiele diras la Eternulo, kiu cxion faris, la Eternulo, kiu cxion kreis, por gxin fortikigi, kaj kies nomo estas Eternulo:

²Thus says Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it; Yahweh is his name:

³Voku al Mi, kaj Mi respondos al vi, kaj Mi sciigos al vi grandajn kaj gravajn aferojn, kiujn vi ne scias.

³Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know.

⁴CXar tiele diras la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, pri la domoj de cxi tiu urbo, kaj pri la domoj de la regxoj de Judujo, kiuj estas detruitaj por remparoj kaj por glavoj

⁴For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword;

⁵de tiuj, kiuj venis, por batali kontraux la HXaldeoj kaj plenigi ilin per kadavroj de homoj, kiujn Mi frapis en Mia kolero kaj en Mia indigno; cxar Mi kasxis Mian vizagxon for de cxi tiu urbo pro cxiuj iliaj malbonagoj:

⁵while men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city:

⁶Jen Mi redonos al gxi bonstaton kaj kuracon, kaj Mi resanigos ilin, kaj Mi malkovros por ili abundon da paco kaj vero.

⁶Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

⁷Kaj Mi revenigos la kaptitojn de Jehuda kaj la kaptitojn de Izrael, kaj Mi arangxos ilin kiel antauxe.

⁷I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

⁸Kaj Mi purigos ilin de cxiuj iliaj malbonagoj, per kiuj ili pekis antaux Mi; kaj Mi pardonos cxiujn iliajn krimojn, per kiuj ili pekis antaux Mi kaj defalis de Mi.

⁸I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, by which they have sinned against me, and by which they have transgressed against me.

⁹Kaj tio farigxos por Mi agrabla nomo, lauxdo kaj gloro antaux cxiuj nacioj de la tero, kiuj auxdos pri la tuta bono, kiun Mi faras al ili, kaj ili ektimos kaj ektremos pro la tuta bono kaj la tuta bonstato, kiun Mi donos al gxi.

⁹This city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.

¹⁰Tiele diras la Eternulo:Sur cxi tiu loko-pri kiu vi diras, ke gxi estas dezertigita tiel, ke jam ne ekzistas homoj nek brutoj en la urboj de Judujo kaj sur la stratoj de Jerusalem, kiuj farigxis malplenaj pro foresto de homoj kaj de logxantoj kaj de brutoj-

¹⁰Thus says Yahweh: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,

¹¹ankoraux estos auxdataj sonoj de gxojo kaj sonoj de gajeco, vocxo de fiancxo kaj vocxo de fiancxino, vocxo de homoj, kiuj parolos:Lauxdu la Eternulon Cebaot, cxar la Eternulo estas bona, cxar eterna estas Lia favorkoreco; kaj kiuj alportados dankoferojn en la domon de la Eternulo; cxar Mi revenigos la forkaptitojn de la lando kiel antauxe, diras la Eternulo.

¹¹the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; who bring thanksgiving into the house of Yahweh. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says Yahweh.

¹²Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:Sur cxi tiu loko, kiu dezertigxis tiel, ke tie ne trovigxas homo nek bruto, kaj en cxiuj gxiaj urboj denove trovigxos logxejoj de pasxtistoj, kiuj ripozigos tie siajn sxafojn;

¹²Thus says Yahweh of Armies: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

¹³en la urboj de la montoj, en la urboj de la valoj, en la urboj de la sudo, en la lando de Benjamen, en la cxirkauxajxo de Jerusalem, kaj en la urboj de Judujo denove pasados sxafoj sub la mano de kalkulanto, diras la Eternulo.

¹³In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Yahweh.

¹⁴Jen venos tempo, diras la Eternulo, kiam Mi plenumos la bonan vorton, kiun Mi diris pri la domo de Izrael kaj pri la domo de Jehuda.

¹⁴Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

¹⁵En tiuj tagoj kaj en tiu tempo Mi elkreskigos al David markoton virtan, kiu faros jugxon kaj justecon sur la tero.

¹⁵In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

¹⁶En tiu tempo Judujo estos savita, kaj Jerusalem ekvivos sendangxere, kaj oni nomos gxin jene:La Eternulo estas nia justeco.

¹⁶In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which she shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

¹⁷CXar tiele diras la Eternulo:Ne mankos cxe David viro, sidanta sur la trono de la domo de Izrael.

¹⁷For thus says Yahweh: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

¹⁸Kaj cxe la pastroj Levidoj neniam mankos antaux Mi viro, alportanta bruloferon kaj fumiganta farunoferon kaj faranta bucxoferon.

¹⁸neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

¹⁹Kaj aperis vorto de la Eternulo al Jeremia, dirante:

¹⁹The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

²⁰Tiele diras la Eternulo:Se oni povos cxesigi Mian interligon pri la tago kaj Mian interligon pri la nokto, kaj la tago kaj nokto ne estu en sia tempo:

²⁰Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;

²¹tiam povos esti cxesigita Mia interligo kun Mia servanto David, ke ne estu cxe li filo, regxanta sur lia trono, kaj kun la Levidoj pastroj, Miaj servistoj.

²¹then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

²²Kiel nekalkulebla estas la armeo de la cxielo kaj nemezurebla la sablo de la maro, tiel Mi multigos la idaron de Mia servanto David, kaj la Levidojn, kiuj faras servadon al Mi.

²²As the army of the sky can’t be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me.

²³Kaj aperis vorto de la Eternulo al Jeremia, dirante:

²³The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

²⁴CXu vi ne vidas, kiel cxi tiu popolo parolas kaj diras:La du gentojn, kiujn la Eternulo elektis, Li forpusxis? Kaj ili malestimas Mian popolon, kvazaux gxi jam ne estus popolo antaux ili.

²⁴Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which Yahweh chose, he has cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

²⁵Tiele diras la Eternulo:Se Mi ne farus interligon pri tago kaj nokto kaj Miajn legxojn pri la cxielo kaj la tero,

²⁵Thus says Yahweh: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

²⁶tiam Mi forpusxus la idaron de Jakob kaj de Mia servanto David, ne prenante el lia idaro regantojn super la idaro de Abraham, Isaak, kaj Jakob; cxar Mi revenigos iliajn forkaptitojn kaj kompatos ilin.

²⁶then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.
