¹Gloru la Eternulon, cxar Li estas bona; CXar eterna estas Lia boneco:

¹Give thanks to Yahweh, “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

²Diru la liberigitoj de la Eternulo, Kiujn Li liberigis el la mano de malamiko,

²Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

³Kiujn Li kolektis el la landoj, De oriento kaj okcidento, De nordo kaj de la maro.

³And gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

⁴Ili vagis en la dezerto, laux vojo senviva, Urbon logxatan ili ne trovis;

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.

⁵Ili malsatis kaj soifis, Ilia animo en ili senfortigxis.

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

⁶Sed ili ekkriis al la Eternulo en sia sufero, Kaj Li liberigis ilin el ilia mizero.

⁶Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁷Kaj Li kondukis ilin laux gxusta vojo, Ke ili venu al urbo logxata.

⁷he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.

⁸Ili gloru la Eternulon por Lia boneco, Kaj por Liaj mirakloj antaux la homidoj.

⁸Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

⁹CXar Li satigis animon soifantan, Kaj animon malsatan Li plenigis per bonajxo.

⁹For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.

¹⁰Ili sidis en mallumo kaj en ombro de morto, Katenitaj de mizero kaj fero;

¹⁰Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

¹¹CXar ili malobeis la vortojn de Dio Kaj malsxatis la decidon de la Plejaltulo.

¹¹because they rebelled against the words of God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” , and condemned the counsel of the Most High.

¹²Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was none to help.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.

¹⁵Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁶CXar Li rompis kuprajn pordojn, Kaj disbatis ferajn riglilojn.

¹⁶For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut through bars of iron.

¹⁷La malsagxuloj suferis pro siaj pekaj vojoj Kaj pro siaj krimoj;

¹⁷Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.

¹⁸CXiujn mangxojn abomenis ilia animo, Kaj ili atingis la pordegon de la morto.

¹⁸Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.

¹⁹Sed ili ekkriis al la Eternulo en sia sufero, Kaj Li liberigis ilin el ilia mizero.

¹⁹Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

²⁰Li sendis Sian vorton, Kaj Li sanigis ilin kaj savis ilin de la tombo.

²⁰He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.

²¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

²²Kaj ili oferdonu dankajn oferojn, Kaj rakontu Liajn farojn kun kantado.

²²Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

²³Kiuj veturas per sxipoj sur la maro, Kiuj komercas sur grandaj akvoj,

²³Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters;

²⁴Tiuj vidis la farojn de la Eternulo Kaj Liajn miraklojn en la profundo.

²⁴These see Yahweh’s works, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁵Li diris, kaj aperis granda ventego Kaj alte levis gxiajn ondojn:

²⁵For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.

²⁶Ili levigxas gxis la cxielo, mallevigxas en la abismojn; Ilia animo konsumigxas de sufero;

²⁶They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.

²⁷Ili iras cxirkauxe kaj sxanceligxas kiel ebriulo, Kaj ilia tuta sagxeco malaperas.

²⁷They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

²⁸Sed ili ekkriis al la Eternulo en sia sufero, Kaj Li eligis ilin el ilia mizero.

²⁸Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.

²⁹Li kvietigis la ventegon, Kaj gxiaj ondoj silentigxis.

²⁹He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.

³⁰Kaj ili ekgxojis, kiam farigxis silente; Kaj Li alkondukis ilin al la dezirata haveno.

³⁰Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.

³¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works for the children of men!

³²Kaj ili altigu Lin en popola kunveno, Kaj en kunsido de plejagxuloj ili Lin lauxdu.

³²Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.

³³Li sxangxas riverojn en dezerton, Kaj fontojn de akvo en sekajxon;

³³He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,

³⁴Fruktoportan teron en salan dezerton, Pro la malboneco de gxiaj logxantoj.

³⁴and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

³⁵Li sxangxas dezerton en lagon, Kaj sekan teron en fontojn de akvo;

³⁵He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.

³⁶Kaj Li logxigas tie malsatulojn, Kaj ili konstruas urbon logxatan.

³⁶There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,

³⁷Kaj ili prisemas kampojn, Plantas vinberujojn, kaj ricevas fruktojn.

³⁷sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.

³⁸Kaj Li ilin benas, kaj ili tre multigxas, Kaj brutoj ne mankas al ili.

³⁸He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.

³⁹Kaj kiam ili estas tre malmultaj kaj malfortaj Pro la premanta malbono kaj mizero,

³⁹Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

⁴⁰Li versxas honton sur eminentulojn, Kaj erarvagigas ilin en dezerto senvoja.

⁴⁰He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

⁴²The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.

⁴³Kiu estas sagxa, tiu tion observu, Kaj oni komprenu la favorajxojn de la Eternulo.

⁴³Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.
