1Ja Mooses koos Iisraeli vanematega andis rahvale käsu, öeldes: 'Pidage kõiki käske, mis ma täna teile annan!
1And Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.
2Sel päeval, mil te lähete üle Jordani maale, mille Issand, su Jumal, sinule annab, püstita enesele suured kivid ja võõpa need lubjaga!
2And it shall be on the day when ye pass over the Jordan unto the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:
3Ja kirjuta nende peale kõik selle Seaduse sõnad, kui sa oled läinud üle jõe, et jõuda maale, mille Issand, su Jumal, sinule annab, maa, mis piima ja mett voolab, nagu Issand, su vanemate Jumal, sinule on öelnud.
3and thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou goest over that thou mayest enter into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Jehovah the God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
4Ja kui te olete läinud üle Jordani, siis püstitage Eebali mäele need kivid, nagu ma täna teid olen käskinud, ja võõbake need lubjaga!
4And it shall be when ye go over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, as I command you this day, on mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.
5Ja ehita sinna altar Issandale, oma Jumalale, altar kividest, mille külge sa ei tohi panna raudriista!
5And there shalt thou build an altar to Jehovah thy God, an altar of stones; thou shalt not lift up an iron [tool] upon them;
6Tahumata kividest ehita Issanda, oma Jumala altar ja ohverda sellel põletusohvreid Issandale, oma Jumalale!
6of whole stones shalt thou build the altar of Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt offer up burnt-offerings thereon to Jehovah thy God.
7Ja tapa tänuohvreid, söö seal ja ole rõõmus Issanda, oma Jumala ees!
7And thou shalt sacrifice peace-offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before Jehovah thy God.
8Ja kirjuta kivide peale kõik selle Seaduse sõnad hästi selgesti!'
8And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
9Ja Mooses ja leviitpreestrid rääkisid kogu Iisraeliga, öeldes: 'Vaiki ja kuule, Iisrael! Täna oled sa saanud Issanda, oma Jumala rahvaks.
9And Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, Be silent and hearken, Israel! this day thou art become the people of Jehovah thy God.
10Kuule siis Issanda, oma Jumala häält ja tee tema käskude ja seaduste järgi, mis ma täna sinule annan!'
10And thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11Ja Mooses andis sel päeval rahvale käsu, öeldes:
11And Moses gave commandment to the people the same day, saying,
12'Kui te olete läinud üle Jordani, siis seisku need rahva õnnistamiseks Gerisimi mäel: Siimeon, Leevi, Juuda, Issaskar, Joosep ja Benjamin.
12These shall stand to bless the people upon mount Gerizim, when ye have gone over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
13Ja need seisku needmiseks Eebali mäel: Ruuben, Gaad, Aaser, Sebulon, Daan ja Naftali.
13And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14Ja leviidid võtku sõna ning öelgu kõigile Iisraeli meestele valju häälega:
14And the Levites shall declare and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice:
15'Neetud olgu igaüks, kes valmistab nikerdatud või valatud kuju jäleduseks Issandale, sepa kätetöö, ja seab selle üles salaja!' Ja kogu rahvas kostku ning öelgu: 'Aamen!'
15Cursed be the man that maketh a graven or molten image, an abomination to Jehovah, a work of the craftsman's hand, and putteth it up secretly! And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16'Neetud olgu, kes põlgab oma isa ja ema!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
16Cursed be he that slighteth his father or his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen.
17'Neetud olgu, kes nihutab paigast oma ligimese piirimärgi!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
17Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark! And all the people shall say, Amen.
18'Neetud olgu, kes eksitab pimeda teelt!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
18Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way! And all the people shall say, Amen.
19'Neetud olgu, kes väänab võõra, vaeslapse ja lesknaise õigust!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
19Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow! And all the people shall say, Amen.
20'Neetud olgu, kes magab oma isa naise juures, sest ta tõstab üles oma isa hõlma!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
20Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; for he uncovereth his father's skirt! And all the people shall say, Amen.

21Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast! And all the people shall say, Amen.
22'Neetud olgu, kes magab oma õe, oma isa tütre või oma ema tütre juures!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
22Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen.
23'Neetud olgu, kes magab oma ämma juures!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
23Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law! And all the people shall say, Amen.
24'Neetud olgu, kes oma ligimese salaja maha lööb!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
24Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly! And all the people shall say, Amen.
25'Neetud olgu, kes võtab meelehead inimese mahalöömiseks, süütu vere valamiseks!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
25Cursed be he that taketh reward to smite mortally [shedding] innocent blood! And all the people shall say, Amen.
26'Neetud olgu, kes ei pea selle Seaduse sõnu ega tee nende järgi!' Ja kogu rahvas öelgu: 'Aamen!'
26Cursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them! And all the people shall say, Amen.
