¹And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is what Jehovah hath commanded.

²Ja Mooses rääkis Iisraeli laste suguharude peameestega, öeldes: 'Nõnda on Issand käskinud:

²If a man vow a vow to Jehovah, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; according to all that hath gone out of his mouth shall he do.

³Kui keegi mees annab Issandale tõotuse või vannub vande, võttes oma hinge peale loobumistõotuse, siis ei tohi ta murda oma sõna: ta peab tegema kõik, mis ta suust on välja tulnud!

³If a woman also vow a vow to Jehovah, and bind herself by a bond, in her father's house in her youth,

⁴Ja kui keegi naine annab Issandale tõotuse ja võtab enesele loobumistõotuse, olles noorpõlves oma isakojas,

⁴and her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall be silent at her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

⁵ja tema isa kuuleb ta lubadust ja loobumistõotust, mille ta on võtnud oma hinge peale, aga tema isa ei ütle temale sõnagi, siis peavad kõik ta lubadused jääma jõusse, ja kõik loobumistõotused, mis ta on võtnud oma hinge peale, peavad jääma jõusse!

⁵But if her father prohibited her in the day that he heard, none of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand; and Jehovah shall pardon her, because her father prohibited her.

⁶Aga kui ta isa keelab teda päeval, mil ta seda kuuleb: siis ei jää jõusse ükski ta lubadus ja loobumistõotus, mille ta on võtnud oma hinge peale, ja Issand annab temale andeks, sellepärast et ta isa on teda keelanud.

⁶And if she have a husband, when she hath her vow upon her or ought that hath passed her lips wherewith she hath bound her soul,

⁷Ja kui ta saab mehele ja temal on täita tõotus või mõtlemata sõna huultelt, mille ta on võtnud oma hinge peale,

⁷and her husband hear it and be silent at her in the day that he heareth it, then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

⁸ja ta mees kuuleb seda, aga ei lausu temale ühtegi sõna sel päeval, mil ta seda kuuleb, siis peavad jääma jõusse tema lubadused ja loobumistõotused, mis ta on võtnud oma hinge peale!

⁸But if her husband prohibit her on the day that he heareth it, and annul her vow which is upon her, and what hath passed her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul, then Jehovah shall pardon her.

⁹Aga kui ta mees sel päeval, mil ta seda kuuleb, keelab teda, siis ta tühistab tema tõotuse, mis tal oli täita, ja selle mõtlemata sõna huultelt, mille ta oli võtnud oma hinge peale, ja Issand annab temale andeks.

⁹But the vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, -- everything wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand against her.

¹⁰Aga lese või hüljatu tõotus, kõik, mis ta on võtnud oma hinge peale, jäägu jõusse!

¹⁰And if she have vowed in her husband's house, or have bound her soul by an oath with a bond,

¹¹Ja kui naine tõotab oma mehe kojas või võtab vandega oma hinge peale loobumistõotuse

¹¹and her husband have heard it, and been silent at her, and hath not prohibited her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

¹²ja tema mees kuuleb, aga ei lausu temale sõnagi ega keela teda, siis jäävad jõusse kõik ta lubadused ja kõik loobumistõotused, mis ta on võtnud oma hinge peale.

¹²But if her husband have expressly annulled them on the day that he heard them, then nothing of that which is gone out of her lips as to her vows or the bond on her soul, shall stand: her husband hath annulled them; and Jehovah will pardon her.

¹³Aga kui ta mees sel päeval, mil ta neid kuuleb, tühistab need täiesti, siis ei jää jõusse ükski ta huultelt tulnud lubadus või hinge peale võetud loobumistõotus. Ta mees on need tühistanud ja Issand annab temale andeks.

¹³Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband can establish it, or her husband can annul it.

¹⁴Kõiki ta tõotusi ja kõiki vandega antud lubadusi hinge alandamiseks võib ta mees jätta jõusse või tühistada.

¹⁴And if her husband be altogether silent at her from day to day, then he hath established all her vows or all her bonds which are upon her; he hath confirmed them, for he hath been silent at her in the day that he heard them.

¹⁵Aga kui ta mees päevast päeva ei lausu temale sõnagi, siis jätab ta jõusse tema lubadused või kõik ta loobumistõotused, mis tal on täita. Ta jätab need jõusse, sest ta ei ole lausunud temale sõnagi päeval, mil ta neid kuulis.

¹⁵But if he in any way annul them after he hath heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.

¹⁶Ja kui ta need siiski tühistab, pärast seda kui ta neid on kuulnud, aga alles hiljem, siis ta peab kandma naise süüd!'

¹⁶These are the statutes, which Jehovah commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth in her father's house.

¹⁷Need on seadused, mis Issand andis Moosesele, et need kehtiksid mehe ja ta naise vahel, isa ja ta tütre vahel, kui too on noorpõlves oma isakojas.
