¹Ma armastan Issandat, sest ta kuuleb mu häält ja mu anumist,

¹I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications;

²sest ta on pööranud oma kõrva minu poole ja ma hüüan teda appi oma eluaja.

²For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during [all] my days.

³Surma võrgud ümbritsesid mind, surmavalla ängistused tabasid mind, ma sattusin ahastusse ja muresse.

³The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow:

⁴Aga ma hüüdsin appi Issanda nime: 'Oh Issand, päästa mu hing!'

⁴Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.

⁵Armuline on Issand ja õige, meie Jumal on halastaja.

⁵Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.

⁶Issand hoiab kohtlasi; ma olin nõder ja tema aitas mind.

⁶Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

⁷Pöördu, mu hing, tagasi oma hingamisele, sest Issand on sulle head teinud!

⁷Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

⁸Sest sina kiskusid mu hinge surmast välja, mu silmad silmaveest, mu jala komistusest.

⁸For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

⁹Ma loodan ikka käia Issanda ees elavate maal.

⁹I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.

¹⁰Mina usun, seepärast ma räägin. Ma olin suures vaevas.

¹⁰I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.

¹¹Ma ütlesin oma kohmetuses: 'Kõik inimesed on valelikud!'

¹¹I said in my haste, All men are liars.

¹²Kuidas ma tasun Issandale kõik tema heateod minu vastu?

¹²What shall I render unto Jehovah, [for] all his benefits toward me?

¹³Ma tõstan üles päästekarika ja hüüan appi Issanda nime.

¹³I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.

¹⁴Ma tasun oma tõotused Issandale kogu ta rahva nähes.

¹⁴I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.

¹⁵Kallis on Issanda meelest tema vagade surm.

¹⁵Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.

¹⁶Oh Issand, ma olen ju su sulane, ma olen su sulane, su teenija poeg; sa oled mu köidikud lahti päästnud!

¹⁶Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

¹⁷I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.

¹⁸Oma tõotused ma tasun Issandale kogu ta rahva nähes

¹⁸I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,

¹⁹Issanda koja õuedes, sinu keskel, Jeruusalemm. Halleluuja!

¹⁹In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
