¹{To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.

²Sina, Iisraeli karjane, võta kuulda! Kes Joosepit juhid nagu lambaid, kes istud keerubite peal, hakka kiirgama!

²Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.

³Ärata oma vägevus Efraimi, Benjamini ja Manasse ees ning tule meid päästma!

³O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

⁴Jumal, uuenda meie olukord ja lase paista oma pale, siis oleme päästetud!

⁴Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?

⁵Issand, vägede Jumal, kui kaua sa lased suitseda oma viha oma rahva palvest hoolimata?

⁵Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:

⁶Sa oled neid söötnud nutuleivaga ja jootnud rohke silmaveega.

⁶Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.

⁷Sa oled meid pannud riiuasjaks meie naabritele ja meie vaenlased irvitavad meie üle.

⁷Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

⁸Vägede Jumal, uuenda meie olukord ja lase paista oma pale, siis oleme päästetud!

⁸Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:

⁹Sina tõid viinapuu Egiptusest; sina ajasid ära rahvad ja istutasid selle nende asemele.

⁹Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;

¹⁰Sa tasandasid temale koha, ja ta ajas laiali oma juured ning täitis maa.

¹⁰The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of ùGod;

¹¹Tema varjuga kattusid mäed, tema okstega Jumala seedrid.

¹¹It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.

¹²Tema väädid ulatusid mereni ja ta võsud Frati jõeni.

¹²Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?

¹³Miks oled kiskunud maha tema müürid, nõnda et kõik teekäijad tema küljest nopivad?

¹³The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.

¹⁴Metssiga tuustib teda ja loomad väljal on ta paljaks söönud.

¹⁴O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;

¹⁵Vägede Jumal, pöördu ometi, vaata taevast ja näe ning tule katsuma seda viinapuud

¹⁵Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.

¹⁶ja istikut, mille su parem käsi on istutanud, võsu, mille sa enesele oled tugevaks kasvatanud!

¹⁶It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

¹⁷See on tulega ära põletatud, see on maha lõigatud; nad on su palge sõitlusest hukkunud.

¹⁷Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.

¹⁸Sinu käsi olgu su parema käe mehe, inimesepoja üle, kelle sa enesele oled tugevaks kasvatanud!

¹⁸So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.

¹⁹Siis me ei tagane sinust! Elusta meid, siis me kuulutame sinu nime!

¹⁹Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

²⁰Issand, vägede Jumal, uuenda meie olukord, lase paista oma pale, siis oleme päästetud!
