¹Ennustus. Issanda sõna Iisraeli kohta. Issand, kes laotab taeva ja rajab maale aluse ja kes valmistab inimese vaimu tema sees, ütleb:

¹The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. [Thus] saith Jehovah, who stretcheth out the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

²'Vaata, ma teen Jeruusalemma uimastuskarikaks kõigile ümberkaudseile rahvaile, ja see pannakse ka Juuda peale Jeruusalemma ahistamises.

²Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of bewilderment unto all the peoples round about, and also against Judah shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

³Ja sel päeval teen ma Jeruusalemma tõstekiviks kõigile rahvaile: kõik, kes seda tõstavad, rebestavad endid; ja kõik maa paganad kogunevad tema vastu.

³And it shall come to pass in that day [that] I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone unto all peoples: all that burden themselves with it shall certainly be wounded, and all the nations of the earth shall be assembled together against it.

⁴Sel päeval, ütleb Issand, teen ma kõik hobused peruks ja nende ratsanikud hullumeelseks. Aga Juuda kohal teen ma oma silmad lahti, kui ma löön sõgedusega kõiki rahvaste hobuseid.

⁴In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness; but I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

⁵Siis mõtlevad Juuda pealikud oma südames: Jeruusalemma elanikud on mulle jaksuks vägede Issandas, oma Jumalas.

⁵And the leaders of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength through Jehovah of hosts their God.

⁶Sel päeval teen ma Juuda pealikud tulise sütepanni sarnaseks keset puid või põleva tõrviku sarnaseks vihkude hulgas, ja need põletavad paremalt ja vasakult kõik ümberkaudsed rahvad. Aga Jeruusalemm jääb edasi oma paika - Jeruusalemma.

⁶In that day will I make the leaders of Judah like a hearth of fire among wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall dwell again in her own place, in Jerusalem.

⁷Ja Issand päästab esmalt Juuda telgid, et Taaveti soo hiilgus ja Jeruusalemma elanike hiilgus ei saaks suurustada Juuda ees.

⁷And Jehovah shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified over Judah.

⁸Sel päeval kaitseb Issand Jeruusalemma elanikke; sel päeval on komistaja nende seas nagu Taavet, ja Taaveti sugu on nagu Jumal, nagu Issanda ingel nende ees.

⁸In that day will Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that stumbleth among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David as God, as the Angel of Jehovah before them.

⁹Aga sel päeval ma hävitan kõik paganad, kes tulevad Jeruusalemma kallale.

⁹And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

¹⁰Ja ma valan Taaveti soo peale ja Jeruusalemma elanike peale kaastunde ja anumise vaimu; siis nad vaatavad sellele, kelle nad läbi pistsid, ja kaeblevad tema pärast, nagu kaeveldakse ainsa lapse pärast, ja nutavad tema pärast kibedasti, nagu nutetakse kibedasti esmasündinu pärast.

¹⁰And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look on me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for an only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

¹¹Sel päeval on Jeruusalemmas niisama suur kaebamine, nagu oli Hadad-Rimmoni pärast Megiddo orus.

¹¹In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

¹²Ja maa teeb kaebust, iga suguvõsa eraldi: Taaveti koja suguvõsa eraldi ja nende naised eraldi, Naatani koja suguvõsa eraldi ja nende naised eraldi,

¹²And the land shall mourn, every family apart: the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

¹³the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;
