¹[] Και θελει εξελθει ραβδος εκ του κορμου του Ιεσσαι, και κλαδος θελει αναβη εκ των ριζων αυτου·

¹And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall be fruitful;

²και το πνευμα του Κυριου θελει αναπαυθη επ' αυτον, πνευμα σοφιας και συνεσεως, πνευμα βουλης και δυναμεως, πνευμα γνωσεως και φοβου του Κυριου·

²and the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

³και θελει καμει αυτον οξυνουν εις τον φοβον του Κυριου, ωστε δεν θελει κρινει κατα την θεωριαν των οφθαλμων αυτου ουδε θελει ελεγχει κατα την ακροασιν των ωτιων αυτου·

³And his delight will be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears;

⁴αλλ' εν δικαιοσυνη θελει κρινει τους πτωχους, και εν ευθυτητι θελει υπερασπιζεσθαι τους ταπεινους της γης· και θελει παταξει την γην εν τη ραβδω του στοματος αυτου, και δια της πνοης των χειλεων αυτου θελει θανατονει τον ασεβη.

⁴but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

⁵Και δικαιοσυνη θελει εισθαι η ζωνη της οσφυος αυτου και πιστις η ζωνη των πλευρων αυτου.

⁵And righteousness shall be the girdle of his reins, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.

⁶Και ο λυκος θελει συγκατοικει μετα του αρνιου, και λεοπαρδαλις θελει αναπαυεσθαι μετα του εριφιου· και ο μοσχος και ο σκυμνος και τα σιτευτα ομου, και μικρον παιδιον θελει οδηγει αυτα.

⁶The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatted beast together, and a little child shall lead them.

⁷Και η δαμαλις και η αρκτος θελουσι συμβοσκεσθαι, τα τεκνα αυτων θελουσιν αναπαυεσθαι ομου, και ο λεων θελει τρωγει αχυρον καθως ο βους.

⁷And the cow and the she-bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

⁸Και το θηλαζον παιδιον θελει παιζει εις την τρυπαν της ασπιδος, και το απογεγαλακτισμενον παιδιον θελει βαλλει την χειρα αυτου εις την φωλεαν του βασιλισκου.

⁸And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the adder, and the weaned child shall put forth its hand to the viper's den.

⁹Δεν θελουσι κακοποιει ουδε φθειρει εν ολω τω αγιω μου ορει· διοτι η γη θελει εισθαι πληρης της γνωσεως του Κυριου, καθως τα υδατα σκεπαζουσι την θαλασσαν.

⁹They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁰[] Και εν εκεινη τη ημερα προς την ριζαν του Ιεσσαι, ητις θελει ιστασθαι σημαια των λαων, προς αυτον θελουσι προστρεξει τα εθνη, και η αναπαυσις αυτου θελει εισθαι δοξα.

¹⁰And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, standing as a banner of the peoples: the nations shall seek it; and his resting-place shall be glory.

¹¹Και εν εκεινη τη ημερα ο Κυριος θελει βαλει την χειρα αυτου παλιν δευτεραν φοραν δια να αναλαβη το υπολοιπον του λαου αυτου, το οποιον θελει μεινει, απο της Ασσυριας και απο της Αιγυπτου και απο του Παθρως και απο της Αιθιοπιας και απο του Ελαμ και απο του Σεννααρ και απο του Αιμαθ και απο των νησων της θαλασσης.

¹¹And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to acquire the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹²Και θελει υψωσει σημαιαν εις τα εθνη, και θελει συναξει τους απερριμμενους του Ισραηλ και συναθροισει τους διεσκορπισμενους του Ιουδα απο των τεσσαρων γωνιων της γης.

¹²And he shall lift up a banner to the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹³Και ο φθονος του Εφραιμ θελει αφαιρεθη, και οι εχθρευομενοι του Ιουδα θελουσιν αποκοπη· ο Εφραιμ δεν θελει φθονει τον Ιουδαν και ο Ιουδας δεν θελει θλιβει τον Εφραιμ.

¹³And the envy of Ephraim shall depart, and the troublers of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim will not envy Judah, and Judah will not trouble Ephraim:

¹⁴Αλλα θελουσιν ορμησει επι τα ορια των Φιλισταιων προς την δυσιν· θελουσι λεηλατησει και τους υιους της ανατολης παντας ομου· θελουσι βαλει την χειρα αυτων επι τον Εδωμ και Μωαβ· και οι υιοι Αμμων θελουσιν υποταχθη εις αυτους.

¹⁴but they shall fly upon the shoulder of the Philistines towards the west; together shall they spoil the sons of the east; they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

¹⁵Και ο Κυριος θελει καταξηρανει την γλωσσαν της Αιγυπτιακης θαλασσης· και δια του βιαιου αυτου ανεμου θελει σεισει την χειρα αυτου επι τον ποταμον, και θελει παταξει αυτον εις επτα ρευματα, και θελει καμει να διαβαινωσι με υποδηματα.

¹⁵And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind will he shake his hand over the river, and will smite it into seven streams, and make [men] go over dryshod.

¹⁶Και θελει εισθαι οδος πλατεια εις το υπολοιπον του λαου αυτου, το οποιον θελει μεινει, απο της Ασσυριας· ως ητο εις τον Ισραηλ, καθ' ην ημεραν ανεβη εκ γης Αιγυπτου.

¹⁶And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people which will be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day when he went up out of the land of Egypt.
