¹[] Τολμα τις απο σας, οταν εχη διαφοραν προς τον αλλον, να κρινηται ενωπιον των αδικων και ουχι ενωπιον των αγιων;

¹Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

²Δεν εξευρετε οτι οι αγιοι θελουσι κρινει τον κοσμον; και εαν ο κοσμος κρινηται απο σας, αναξιοι εισθε να κρινητε ελαχιστα πραγματα;

²Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

³Δεν εξευρετε οτι αγγελους θελομεν κρινει; ποσω μαλλον βιωτικα;

³Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

⁴Βιωτικας λοιπον κρισεις εαν εχητε, τους εξουθενημενους εν τη εκκλησια τουτους καθιζετε κριτας.

⁴If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?

⁵Προς εντροπην σας λεγω τουτο. Ουτω δεν υπαρχει μεταξυ σας ουδε εις σοφος, οστις θελει δυνηθη να κρινη ανα μεσον του αδελφου αυτου,

⁵I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

⁶αλλα αδελφος κρινεται με αδελφον, και τουτο ενωπιον απιστων;

⁶But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

⁷Τωρα λοιπον ειναι διολου ελαττωμα εις εσας οτι εχετε κρισεις μεταξυ σας. Δια τι μαλλον δεν αδικεισθε; δια τι μαλλον δεν αποστερεισθε;

⁷Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

⁸Αλλα σεις αδικειτε και αποστερειτε, και μαλιστα αδελφους.

⁸No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.

⁹[] Η δεν εξευρετε οτι οι αδικοι δεν θελουσι κληρονομησει την βασιλειαν του Θεου; Μη πλανασθε· ουτε πορνοι ουτε ειδωλολατραι ουτε μοιχοι ουτε μαλακοι ουτε αρσενοκοιται

⁹Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

¹⁰ουτε κλεπται ουτε πλεονεκται ουτε μεθυσοι ουτε λοιδοροι ουτε αρπαγες θελουσι κληρονομησει την βασιλειαν του Θεου.

¹⁰nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.

¹¹Και τοιουτοι υπηρχετε τινες· αλλα απελουσθητε, αλλα ηγιασθητε, αλλ' εδικαιωθητε δια του ονοματος του Κυριου Ιησου και δια του Πνευματος του Θεου ημων.

¹¹Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹²[] Παντα ειναι εις την εξουσιαν μου, πλην παντα δεν συμφερουσι· παντα ειναι εις την εξουσιαν μου, αλλ' εγω δεν θελω εξουσιασθη υπ' ουδενος.

¹²“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.

¹³Τα φαγητα ειναι δια την κοιλιαν και η κοιλια δια τα φαγητα· πλην ο Θεος και ταυτην και ταυτα θελει καταργησει· το δε σωμα δεν ειναι δια την πορνειαν, αλλα δια τον Κυριον, και ο Κυριος δια το σωμα·

¹³“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

¹⁴ο δε Θεος και τον Κυριον ανεστησε και ημας θελει αναστησει δια της δυναμεως αυτου.

¹⁴Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

¹⁵Δεν εξευρετε οτι τα σωματα σας ειναι μελη του Χριστου; να λαβω λοιπον τα μελη του Χριστου και να καμω αυτα μελη πορνης; Μη γενοιτο.

¹⁵Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!

¹⁶Η δεν εξευρετε οτι ο προσκολλωμενος με την πορνην ειναι εν σωμα; διοτι θελουσιν εισθαι, λεγει, οι δυο εις σαρκα μιαν·

¹⁶Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two,” says he, “will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24

¹⁷οστις ομως προσκολλαται με τον Κυριον ειναι εν πνευμα.

¹⁷But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

¹⁸Φευγετε την πορνειαν. Παν αμαρτημα, το οποιον ηθελε πραξει ο ανθρωπος, ειναι εκτος του σωματος· ο πορνευων ομως αμαρτανει εις το ιδιον αυτου σωμα.

¹⁸Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

¹⁹Η δεν εξευρετε οτι το σωμα σας ειναι ναος του Αγιου Πνευματος του εν υμιν, το οποιον εχετε απο Θεου, και δεν εισθε κυριοι εαυτων;

¹⁹Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,

²⁰Διοτι ηγορασθητε δια τιμης· δοξασατε λοιπον τον Θεον δια του σωματος σας και δια του πνευματος σας, τα οποια ειναι του Θεου.

²⁰for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
