¹ઈસુ મંદિરમાંથી વિદાય લેતો હતો તેના શિષ્યોમાંના એકે કહ્યું, ‘જો, ઉપદેશક! આ મંદિરમાં ઘણા આકર્ષક મકાનો અને ઘણા મોટા પથ્થરો છે.’

¹As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

²ઈસુએ કહ્યું, ‘તમે આ મોટાં બાંધકામો જુઓ છો? આ બધાં બાંધકામોનો વિનાશ થશે. દરેક પથ્થર જમીન પર ફેંકવામાં આવશે. એક પણ પથ્થર ત્યાં રહેવા દેવામાં આવશે નહિ.’

²Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

³પાછળથી, ઈસુ જૈતૂનના પહાડ પર એક જગ્યાએ બેઠો હતો. તે પિતર, યાકૂબ, યોહાન તથા આંન્દ્રિયા સાથે એકલો હતો. તેઓ બધા મંદિરને જોઈ શક્યા. પેલા શિષ્યોએ ઈસુને પૂછયું.

³As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

⁴‘અમને કહે, આ ક્યારે બનશે? અને આ સમય બનવા માટેનો છે તે બાબતે અમને કઈ નિશાની બતાવશે?’

⁴“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

⁵ઈસુએ શિષ્યોને કહ્યું, ‘સાવધાન રહો! કોઈ વ્યક્તિ તમને મૂર્ખ ન બનાવે.

⁵Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁶ઘણા લોકો આવશે અને મારા નામનો ઉપયોગ કરશે. તેઓ કહેશે, ‘હું એ છું’ અને તેઓ ઘણા લોકોને છેતરશે.

⁶ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he! or, “I AM!” ’ and will lead many astray.

⁷તમે યુદ્ધો વિષે સાંભળશો અને યુદ્ધોની અફવાઓ વિષે સાંભળશો. પણ ગભરાશો નહિ. આ વસ્તુઓ તેનો અંત થતા પહેલા થશે.

⁷ “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁸રાજ્યો બીજા રાજ્યો સામે લડશે. એવો સમય આવશે જ્યારે લોકોને માટે ખાવાનું પણ નહિ હોય. અને ત્યાં જુદા જુદા સ્થળોએ ધરતીકંપ થશે. મહા દુ:ખનો આ તો આરંભ છે. બાળક જન્મતા પહેલા થતી પીડાઓ જેવી આ વસ્તુઓ છે.

⁸ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁹‘પોતા વિષે સાવધાન રહેવું જોઈએ. લોકો તમને પકડશે અને તમને ન્યાય માટે લઈ જશે. તેઓ તમને તેમના સભાસ્થાનમાં મારશે. તમને રાજ્યપાલ અને રાજાઓ સામે ઊભા રાખવામાં આવશે. તમે તેઓને મારા વિષે કહેશો. આ તમારા જીવનમાં બનશે કારણ કે તમે મને અનુસરો છો.

⁹ But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

¹⁰આ વસ્તુઓ બને તે પહેલા બધા લોકોને સુવાર્તા પહોંચવી જોઈએ.

¹⁰ The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

¹¹તમને પકડવામાં આવશે અને ન્યાય થશે. પરંતુ તમારે શું કહેવું જોઈએ તેની ચિંતા અગાઉથી ના કરશો. તે સમયે દેવ તમને જે આપે તે કહેશો. તે વખતે ખરેખર તમે બોલશો નહિ પણ તે પવિત્ર આત્મા બોલનાર છે.

¹¹ When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹²‘ભાઈઓ પોતાના ભાઈઓની વિરૂદ્ધ થશે અને તેઓને મારી નાખવા સોંપશે. પિતા પોતાના બાળકોની વિરૂદ્ધ થશે અને તેઓને મારી નાખવા સોંપશે. બાળકો તેમના માતાપિતાની વિરૂદ્ધ થશે અને તેમના માબાપને મારી નંખાવવાના રસ્તા શોધશે.

¹² “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹³બધા લોકો તમને ધિક્કારશે. કારણ કે તમે મને અનુસરો છો. પણ જે વ્યક્તિ અંત સુધી ટકશે તેનું તારણ થશે.

¹³ You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

¹⁴‘જેનાં કારણે વિનાશ થશે એવી ભયંકર વસ્તુ તમે જોશો. જ્યાં તેને ન હોવું જોઈએ, તે જગ્યાએ તે ઊભી રહેલી હશે.’ (જે આ વાંચે છે તેમણે સમજવું.) ‘તે સમયે, યહૂદિયામાંથી લોકોએ પહાડો તરફ નાસી જવું જોઈએ.

¹⁴ But when you see the abomination of desolation, Daniel 9:17; 11:31; 12:11 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

¹⁵કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ માટે રોકાયા વિના સમય બગાડ્યા વિના લોકોએ ભાગી જવું જોઈએ. જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ તેના ઘરના છાપરા ઉપર હોય તો તેણે તેના ઘરમાંથી કઈ પણ લેવા સારું નીચે જવું જોઈએ નહિ.

¹⁵ and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

¹⁶જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ ખેતરમાં હોય તો તેણે તેનો ડગલો લેવા પાછા જવું ન જોઈએ.

¹⁶ Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁷“તે સમયે સ્ત્રીઓ જે ગર્ભવતી છે અથવા જેને ધાવણાં બાળકો છે, તેઓ માટે ઘણું ખરાબ હશે.

¹⁷ But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

¹⁸અને (તમારું નાસવુ) શિયાળામાં ન થાય તે માટે પ્રાર્થના કરો.

¹⁸ Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

¹⁹શા માટે? કારણ કે તે દિવસો દરમ્યાન ઘણી મુશ્કેલીઓ હશે. શરૂઆતમાં દેવે જ્યારે આ જગત બનાવ્યું ત્યારે જે કંઈ બન્યું હતું તેના કરતા વધારે મુશ્કેલીઓ ઊભી થશે અને આવી મુશ્કેલીઓ ફરીથી ક્યરેય બનશે નહિ.

¹⁹ For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

²⁰તે ભયંકર સમયને ટૂંકો કરવાનો નિર્ણય દેવે કર્યો છે. જો તે સમયને ટૂંકો કરવામાં ન આવ્યો હોત તો પછી કોઈ વ્યક્તિ જીવતી રહી શકી ના હોત. પણ દેવે તેણે પસંદ કરેલા તેના ખાસ લોકોને માટે તે સમય ટૂંકો કર્યો છો.

²⁰ Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

²¹“તે સમયે કેટલીક વ્યક્તિઓ તમને કહેશે, ‘જુઓ, અહીં ખ્રિસ્ત છે! અથવા બીજી એક વ્યક્તિ કહેશે, તે ત્યાં છે! પણ તેમનું માનશો નહિ.

²¹ Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

²²જૂઠા ખ્રિસ્તો અને જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો આવશે અને મહાન કામો અને અદભૂત ચમત્કારો કરશે. તેઓ આ કામો દેવે પસંદ કરેલા લોકો આગળ કરશે, જો શક્ય હશે તો તેઓ આ કામો કરીને તેના લોકોને છેતરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરશે.

²² For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²³તેથી સાવધાન રહો, હવે મેં તમને આ બધું બનતા પહેલા તે વિષે ચેતવણી આપી છે.’

²³ But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²⁴“તે દિવસો દરમ્યાન આ વિપત્તિઓ પછી, ‘સૂર્ય અંધકારરૂપ થઈ જશે, અને ચંદ્ર તેનો પ્રકાશ આપશે નહિ.’

²⁴ But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,

²⁵આકાશના તારાઓ ખરવા લાગશે, અને આકાશના પરાક્રમો હલાવાશે.”‘ યશાયા13:10; 34:4

²⁵ the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Isaiah 13:10; 34:4

²⁶“પછી લોકો માણસના પુત્રને ઘણાં પરાક્રમ તથા મહિમા સહિત વાદળામાં આવતો જોશે.

²⁶ Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

²⁷માણસનો પુત્ર પૃથ્વીની ચારેબાજુ તેના દૂતોને મોકલશે. દૂતો પૃથ્વી પરના દરેક ભાગોમાંથી તેના પસંદ કરેવા લોકોને ભેગા કરશે.’

²⁷ Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

²⁸“અંજીરીનું વૃક્ષ આપણને એક બોધપાઠ શીખવે છે. જ્યારે અંજીરીના વૃક્ષની ડાળીઓ લીલી અને નરમ બને છે અને નવા પાંદડાં ઊગવાની શરુંઆત થાય છે ત્યારે તમે જાણો છો કે ઉનાળો નજીક છે.

²⁸ “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

²⁹આ વસ્તુઓ સાથે એવું જ છે જે મેં તમને કહ્યું તે બનશે જ. જ્યારે તમે આ બધું બનતું જોશો, ત્યારે તમે જાણશો કે તે સમય નજીક છે.

²⁹ even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

³⁰હું તમને સત્ય કહું. જ્યારે આ સમયના લોકો જીવતા હશે ત્યારે જ આ બધી વસ્તુઓ બનશે.

³⁰ Most certainly I say to you, this generation The word translated “generation” (genea) could also be translated “race,” “family,” or “people.” will not pass away until all these things happen.

³¹આખી પૃથ્વી અને આકાશનો વિનાશ થશે. પણ જે વાતો મેં કહી છે તે કદાપિ નાશ પામશે નહિ.”

³¹ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³²“કોઈ વ્યક્તિ જાણતી નથી કે કયા દિવસે કયા સમયે તે થશે. તે પુત્ર અને આકાશના દૂતો પણ તે જાણતા નથી. ફક્ત પિતા જ જાણે છે.

³² But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

³³સાવધાન રહો! હંમેશા તૈયાર રહો! તમને ખબર નથી તે સમય ક્યારે આવશે.

³³ Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

³⁴“એક માણસ તેનું ઘર છોડીને પ્રવાસમાં જાય છે તેના જેવું આ છે. તે માણસ તેના ઘરની સંભાળ લેવાનું તેના સેવકોને સોંપે છે. તે દરેક સેવકને દરવાજાની ચોકી કરવાનું કામ સોંપે છે. તે માણસ આ સેવકને હંમેશા તૈયાર રહેવાનું કહે છે. હમણા હું તમને કહું છું તે એ જ છે.

³⁴ “It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

³⁵તેથી તમારે હંમેશા તૈયાર રહેવું જોઈએ, તમે જાણતા નથી, ઘરનો ધણી સાંજે, મધરાતે કે વહેલી સવારે કે જ્યારે સૂર્ય ઊગે છે ત્યારે કદાચ આવે.

³⁵ Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

³⁶રખેને તે ધણી એકાએક પાછો ઝડપથી પણ આવે. જો તમે હંમેશા તૈયાર રહો તો પછી તે તમને ઊંઘતા જોશે નહિ.

³⁶ lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.

³⁷ What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”
