¹Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

²קינן מהללאל ירד׃

²Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

³חנוך מתושלח למך׃

³Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

⁴נח שם חם ויפת׃

⁴Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

⁵בני יפת גמר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותבל ומשך ותירס׃

⁵Sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

⁶ובני גמר אשכנז ודיפת ותוגרמה׃

⁶And sons of Gomer: Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

⁷ובני יון אלישה ותרשישה כתים ורודנים׃

⁷And sons of Javan: Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.

⁸בני חם כוש ומצרים פוט וכנען׃

⁸Sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁹ובני כוש סבא וחוילה וסבתא ורעמא וסבתכא ובני רעמא שבא ודדן׃

⁹And sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecka. And sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

¹⁰וכוש ילד את נמרוד הוא החל להיות גבור בארץ׃

¹⁰And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.

¹¹ומצרים ילד את לודיים ואת ענמים ואת להבים ואת נפתחים׃

¹¹And Mizraim begat the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

¹²ואת פתרסים ואת כסלחים אשר יצאו משם פלשתים ואת כפתרים׃

¹²and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom came out the Philistim), and the Caphtorim.

¹³וכנען ילד את צידון בכרו ואת חת׃

¹³And Canaan begat Zidon his first born, and Heth,

¹⁴ואת היבוסי ואת האמרי ואת הגרגשי׃

¹⁴and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

¹⁵ואת החוי ואת הערקי ואת הסיני׃

¹⁵and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

¹⁶ואת הארודי ואת הצמרי ואת החמתי׃

¹⁶and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

¹⁷בני שם עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם ועוץ וחול וגתר ומשך׃

¹⁷Sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁸וארפכשד ילד את שלח ושלח ילד את עבר׃

¹⁸And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

¹⁹ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן׃

¹⁹And to Eber have been born two sons, the name of the one [is] Peleg, for in his days hath the land been divided, and the name of his brother is Joktan.

²⁰ויקטן ילד את אלמודד ואת שלף ואת חצרמות ואת ירח׃

²⁰And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

²¹ואת הדורם ואת אוזל ואת דקלה׃

²¹and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

²²ואת עיבל ואת אבימאל ואת שבא׃

²²and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

²³ואת אופיר ואת חוילה ואת יובב כל אלה בני יקטן׃

²³and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan.

²⁴שם ארפכשד שלח׃

²⁴Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

²⁵עבר פלג רעו׃

²⁵Eber, Peleg, Reu,

²⁶שרוג נחור תרח׃

²⁶Serug, Nahor, Terah,

²⁷אברם הוא אברהם׃

²⁷Abram — he [is] Abraham.

²⁸בני אברהם יצחק וישמעאל׃

²⁸Sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

²⁹אלה תלדותם בכור ישמעאל נביות וקדר ואדבאל ומבשם׃

²⁹These [are] their generations: first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam,

³⁰משמע ודומה משא חדד ותימא׃

³⁰Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

³¹יטור נפיש וקדמה אלה הם בני ישמעאל׃

³¹Jetur, Naphish, and Kedema. These are sons of Ishmael.

³²ובני קטורה פילגש אברהם ילדה את זמרן ויקשן ומדן ומדין וישבק ושוח ובני יקשן שבא ודדן׃

³²And sons of Keturah, Abraham`s concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

³³ובני מדין עיפה ועפר וחנוך ואבידע ואלדעה כל אלה בני קטורה׃

³³And sons of Midian: Ephah and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these [are] sons of Keturah.

³⁴ויולד אברהם את יצחק בני יצחק עשו וישראל׃

³⁴And Abraham begetteth Isaac. Sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

³⁵בני עשו אליפז רעואל ויעוש ויעלם וקרח׃

³⁵Sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

³⁶בני אליפז תימן ואומר צפי וגעתם קנז ותמנע ועמלק׃

³⁶Sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

³⁷בני רעואל נחת זרח שמה ומזה׃

³⁷Sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

³⁸ובני שעיר לוטן ושובל וצבעון וענה ודישן ואצר ודישן׃

³⁸And sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.

³⁹ובני לוטן חרי והומם ואחות לוטן תמנע׃

³⁹And sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam, and sister of Lotan [is] Timna.

⁴⁰בני שובל עלין ומנחת ועיבל שפי ואונם ובני צבעון איה וענה׃

⁴⁰Sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And sons of Zideon: Aiah and Anah.

⁴¹בני ענה דישון ובני דישון חמרן ואשבן ויתרן וכרן׃

⁴¹The sons of Anah: Dishon. and sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

⁴²בני אצר בלהן וזעון יעקן בני דישון עוץ וארן׃

⁴²Sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

⁴³ואלה המלכים אשר מלכו בארץ אדום לפני מלך מלך לבני ישראל בלע בן בעור ושם עירו דנהבה׃

⁴³And these [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king of the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah.

⁴⁴וימת בלע וימלך תחתיו יובב בן זרח מבצרה׃

⁴⁴And Bela dieth, and reign in his stead doth Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrali;

⁴⁵וימת יובב וימלך תחתיו חושם מארץ התימני׃

⁴⁵and Jobab dieth, and reign in his stead doth Husham from the land of the Temanite;

⁴⁶וימת חושם וימלך תחתיו הדד בן בדד המכה את מדין בשדה מואב ושם עירו עיות׃

⁴⁶and Husham dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, son of Bedad (who smiteth Midian in the field of Moab) and the name of his city [is] Avith;

⁴⁷וימת הדד וימלך תחתיו שמלה ממשרקה׃

⁴⁷and Hadad dieth, and reign in his stead doth Samlah from Masrekah;

⁴⁸וימת שמלה וימלך תחתיו שאול מרחבות הנהר׃

⁴⁸and Samlah dieth, and reign in his stead doth Shaul from Rehoboth of the River;

⁴⁹וימת שאול וימלך תחתיו בעל חנן בן עכבור׃

⁴⁹and Shaul dieth, and reign in his stead doth Baal-Hanan son of Achbor;

⁵⁰וימת בעל חנן וימלך תחתיו הדד ושם עירו פעי ושם אשתו מהיטבאל בת מטרד בת מי זהב׃

⁵⁰and Baal-Hanan dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, and the name of his city [is] Pai, and the name of his wife [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab; Hadad also dieth.

⁵¹וימת הדד ויהיו אלופי אדום אלוף תמנע אלוף עליה אלוף יתת׃

⁵¹And chiefs of Edom are: chief Timnah, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,

⁵²אלוף אהליבמה אלוף אלה אלוף פינן׃

⁵²chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

⁵³אלוף קנז אלוף תימן אלוף מבצר׃

⁵³chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

⁵⁴אלוף מגדיאל אלוף עירם אלה אלופי אדום׃

⁵⁴chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These [are] chiefs of Edom.
