1הללו יה הללו את שם יהוה הללו עבדי יהוה׃
1Praise ye Jah! Praise ye the name of Jehovah, Praise, ye servants of Jehovah,
2שעמדים בבית יהוה בחצרות בית אלהינו׃
2Who are standing in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of the house of our God.
3הללו יה כי טוב יהוה זמרו לשמו כי נעים׃
3Praise ye Jah! for Jehovah [is] good, Sing praise to His name, for [it is] pleasant.
4כי יעקב בחר לו יה ישראל לסגלתו׃
4For Jacob hath Jah chosen for Himself, Israel for His peculiar treasure.
5כי אני ידעתי כי גדול יהוה ואדנינו מכל אלהים׃
5For I have known that great [is] Jehovah, Yea, our Lord [is] above all gods.
6כל אשר חפץ יהוה עשה בשמים ובארץ בימים וכל תהומות׃
6All that Jehovah pleased He hath done, In the heavens and in earth, In the seas and all deep places,
7מעלה נשאים מקצה הארץ ברקים למטר עשה מוצא רוח מאוצרותיו׃
7Causing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth, Lightnings for the rain He hath made, Bringing forth wind from His treasures.
8שהכה בכורי מצרים מאדם עד בהמה׃
8Who smote the first-born of Egypt, From man unto beast.
9שלח אתות ומפתים בתוככי מצרים בפרעה ובכל עבדיו׃
9He sent tokens and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, On Pharaoh and on all his servants.
10שהכה גוים רבים והרג מלכים עצומים׃
10Who smote many nations, and slew strong kings,
11לסיחון מלך האמרי ולעוג מלך הבשן ולכל ממלכות כנען׃
11Even Sihon king of the Amorite, And Og king of Bashan, And all kingdoms of Canaan.
12ונתן ארצם נחלה נחלה לישראל עמו׃
12And He gave their land an inheritance, An inheritance to Israel His people,
13יהוה שמך לעולם יהוה זכרך לדר ודר׃
13O Jehovah, Thy name [is] to the age, O Jehovah, Thy memorial to all generations.
14כי ידין יהוה עמו ועל עבדיו יתנחם׃
14For Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants comforteth Himself.
15עצבי הגוים כסף וזהב מעשה ידי אדם׃
15The idols of the nations [are] silver and gold, Work of the hands of man.
16פה להם ולא ידברו עינים להם ולא יראו׃
16A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,
17אזנים להם ולא יאזינו אף אין יש רוח בפיהם׃
17Ears they have, and they give not ear, Nose — there is no breath in their mouth!
18כמוהם יהיו עשיהם כל אשר בטח בהם׃
18Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.
19בית ישראל ברכו את יהוה בית אהרן ברכו את יהוה׃
19O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah, O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah,
20בית הלוי ברכו את יהוה יראי יהוה ברכו את יהוה׃
20O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah, Those fearing Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.
21ברוך יהוה מציון שכן ירושלם הללו יה׃
21Blessed [is] Jehovah from Zion, Inhabiting Jerusalem — praise ye Jah!
