1אהבת האחים תעמד׃
1Let brotherly love abide.
2הכנסת ארחים אל תשכחו כי יש אשר הכניסו בה מלאכים ולא ידעו׃
2Be not forgetful of hospitality; for by it some have unawares entertained angels.
3זכרו את האסורים כאלו אתם אסורים עמהם ואת הנלחצים באשר גם אתם בבשר׃
3Remember prisoners, as bound with [them]; those that are evil-treated, as being yourselves also in [the] body.
4האישות תיקר בכל וערש יצועכם אל יחלל את הזנים ואת המנאפים ידין אלהים׃
4[Let] marriage [be held] every way in honour, and the bed [be] undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers will God judge.
5רחקו מאהבת כסף ושמחו בחלקכם כי הוא אמר לא ארפך ולא אעזבך׃
5[Let your] conversation [be] without love of money, satisfied with [your] present circumstances; for *he* has said, I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.
6על כן נבטח ונאמר יהוה לי בעזרי לא אירא מה יעשה לי אדם׃
6So that, taking courage, we may say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not be afraid: what will man do unto me?
7זכרו את מנהיגיכם אשר הגידו לכם את דבר האלהים בינו לאחרית דרכם ולכו באמונתם׃
7Remember your leaders who have spoken to you the word of God; and considering the issue of their conversation, imitate their faith.
8ישוע המשיח גם תמול גם היום הוא הוא וגם לעולמים׃
8Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to-day, and to the ages [to come].
9אל תנועו בתורות שנות וזרות כי טוב לכונן לבנו בחסד ולא בעניני מאכל אשר לא הועילו למתהלכים בהם׃
9Be not carried away with various and strange doctrines; for [it is] good that the heart be confirmed with grace, not meats; those who have walked in which have not been profited by [them].
10יש לנו מזבח אשר אינם רשאים לאכל מעליו משרתי המשכן׃
10We have an altar of which they have no right to eat who serve the tabernacle;
11כי הבהמות אשר הובא דמן בקדש לכפרת החטא על ידי הכהן הגדול גויתיהן נשרפו מחוץ למחנה׃
11for of those beasts whose blood is carried [as sacrifices for sin] into the [holy of] holies by the high priest, of these the bodies are burned outside the camp.
12בעבור זאת גם ישוע למען קדש בדמו את העם ענה מחוץ לשער׃
12Wherefore also Jesus, that he might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate:
13לכן נצאה נא אליו אל מחוץ למחנה ונשא את חרפתו׃
13therefore let us go forth to him without the camp, bearing his reproach:
14כי פה אין לנו עיר עמדת כי את העתידה אנחנו מבקשים׃
14for we have not here an abiding city, but we seek the coming one.
15לכן נקריב על ידו בכל עת זבח תודה לאלהים היא פרי שפתים המודות לשמו׃
15By him therefore let us offer [the] sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, [the] fruit of [the] lips confessing his name.
16ואל תשכחו לגמל חסד ולתת לאביונים כי זבחים כאלה יערבו לאלהים׃
16But of doing good and communicating [of your substance] be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17שמעו אל מנהיגיכם והכנעו מפניהם כי שקדים הם על נפשתיכם כעתידים לתת חשבון למען יעשו זאת בשמחה ולא באנחה כי זאת לא להועיל לכם׃
17Obey your leaders, and be submissive; for *they* watch over your souls as those that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not groaning, for this [would be] unprofitable for you.
18התפללו בעדנו כי ידענו אשר שלמה מחשבתנו ונחפץ ללכת דרך ישרה בכל׃
18Pray for us: for we persuade ourselves that we have a good conscience, in all things desirous to walk rightly.
19ובחזקה אבקש מכם לעשות זאת למען אושב אליכם במהרה׃
19But I much more beseech [you] to do this, that I may the more quickly be restored to you.
20ואלהי השלום אשר בדם ברית עולם העלה מן המתים את רעה הצאן הגדול את ישוע אדנינו׃
20But the God of peace, who brought again from among [the] dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in [the power of the] blood of [the] eternal covenant,
21הוא ישלימכם בכל מעשה טוב לעשות רצונו בפעלו בכם את הרצוי לפניו ביד ישוע המשיח אשר לו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן׃
21perfect you in every good work to the doing of his will, doing in you what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for the ages of ages. Amen.
22ואבקש מכם אחי שאו נא דבר התוכחה כי כתבתי אליכם בקצרה׃
22But I beseech you, brethren, bear the word of exhortation, for it is but in few words that I have written to you.
23ודעו כי טימותיוס אחינו יצא מבית האסורים והיה אם יבא במהרה אראה אתו את פניכם׃
23Know that our brother Timotheus is set at liberty; with whom, if he should come soon, I will see you.
24שאלו לשלום כל מנהיגיכם ולשלום כל הקדשים בני ארץ איטליא שאלים לשלומכם׃
24Salute all your leaders, and all the saints. They from Italy salute you.
25החסד עם כלכם אמן׃
25Grace [be] with you all. Amen.
