¹Salomo membangun juga istana untuk dirinya. Pembangunan istana itu makan waktu tiga belas tahun.

¹And Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.

²Di istana itu Salomo membuat ruangan yang disebut "Balai Hutan Libanon". Ukurannya: panjang 44 meter, lebar 22 meter, dan tinggi 13,5 meter. Balai itu mempunyai tiga jajar tiang dari kayu cemara Libanon; tiap jajar terdiri dari lima belas tiang dan di atasnya dipasang kasau-kasau dari kayu cemara Libanon. Langit-langitnya terbuat dari kayu yang sama dan menutupi kasau-kasau itu.

²For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was a hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.

³And it was covered with cedar above over the forty and five beams, that were upon the pillars; fifteen in a row.

⁴Pada dinding kiri dan kanan balai itu terdapat jendela-jendela: tiga deretan pada dinding yang satu berhadapan dengan tiga deretan pada dinding yang lainnya. Bingkai pintu-pintu dan jendela-jendelanya berbentuk empat persegi panjang.

⁴And there were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.

⁵And all the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.

⁶Salomo juga membangun "Balai Pilar". Panjang balai itu 22 meter dan lebarnya 13,5 meter. Di depan balai itu ada serambi yang berpilar dan bertangga.

⁶And he made the porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.

⁷Balai yang lain ialah "Balai Tahta" yang disebut juga Balai Pengadilan. Balai ini dari lantai sampai ke kasau-kasaunya dilapisi dengan kayu cemara Libanon. Di balai inilah Salomo memutuskan perkara-perkara pengadilan.

⁷And he made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.

⁸Tempat tinggal Salomo dibuat seperti gedung-gedung lainnya dan terdapat di pelataran lain di belakang Balai Pengadilan. Untuk istrinya, yaitu putri raja Mesir, Salomo membangun juga gedung yang serupa.

⁸And his house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter (whom Solomon had taken to wife), like unto this porch.

⁹Semua bangunan itu, termasuk pelataran besarnya, dari pondasinya sampai ke atapnya, dibuat dari batu yang bagus-bagus. Batu-batu itu disiapkan di tambang batu, dan dipotong menurut ukuran; bagian dalam dan bagian luarnya diratakan dengan gergaji.

⁹All these were of costly stones, even of hewn stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside unto the great court.

¹⁰Pondasi gedung-gedung itu dibuat dari batu-batu besar yang berharga. Batu-batu itu ada yang 3,5 meter panjangnya, ada pula yang empat meter.

¹⁰And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.

¹¹Di atasnya dipasang batu-batu lain yang berharga dan dipotong menurut ukuran, lalu ditutup dengan kayu cemara Libanon.

¹¹And above were costly stones, even hewn stone, according to measure, and cedar-wood.

¹²Tembok pelataran istana dan tembok pelataran dalam di Rumah TUHAN serta tembok balai di bagian depan Rumah TUHAN, masing-masing terdiri dari satu lapisan kayu cemara Libanon di atas tiap tiga lapisan batu.

¹²And the great court round about had three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams; like as the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and the porch of the house.

¹³Di kota Tirus ada seorang laki-laki bernama Huram. Ia benar-benar ahli dan banyak berpengalaman dalam membuat segala macam barang perunggu. Almarhum ayahnya adalah orang Tirus dan juga ahli dalam barang-barang perunggu. Ibunya dari suku Naftali. Raja Salomo telah menyuruh orang pergi menjemput Huram untuk datang dan mengepalai seluruh pekerjaan pembuatan barang perunggu. Maka datanglah Huram dan mengerjakan apa yang diminta oleh Salomo.

¹³And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.

¹⁴(7:13)

¹⁴He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

¹⁵Huram membuat dua tiang perunggu masing-masing tingginya 8 meter, lingkarnya 5,3 meter, dan tebal perunggunya 7,4 sentimeter. Tiang-tiang itu kosong di dalamnya.

¹⁵For he fashioned the two pillars of brass, eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits compassed either of them about.

¹⁶Untuk tiang-tiang itu ia membuat dua kepala tiang dari perunggu, masing-masing tingginya 2,2 meter

¹⁶And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.

¹⁷berbentuk bunga bakung setinggi 1,8 meter. Setiap kepala tiang itu dihias dengan dua jajar buah delima dari perunggu. Semuanya ada dua ratus buah delima pada setiap kepala tiang. Lalu Huram membuat anyaman rantai dari perunggu dan menaruhnya di atas tiang-tiang itu. Ada tujuh anyaman rantai di atas setiap tiang, dan di atas anyaman rantai itu pula ada sebuah alas bundar. Di atas alas bundar inilah

¹⁷There were nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.

¹⁸(7:17)

¹⁸So he made the pillars; and there were two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars: and so did he for the other capital.

¹⁹(7:17)

¹⁹And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily-work, four cubits.

²⁰(7:17)

²⁰And there were capitals above also upon the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about upon the other capital.

²¹kepala-kepala tiang yang berbentuk bunga bakung itu dipasang pada tiang-tiang itu. Tiang-tiang itu ditempatkan di depan pintu masuk ke Rumah TUHAN--satu di sebelah selatan, yang lainnya di sebelah utara. Yang di sebelah selatan dinamakan Yakhin, dan yang di sebelah utara dinamakan Boas. Demikianlah Huram menyelesaikan pembuatan tiang-tiang itu.

²¹And he set up the pillars at the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin; and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

²²(7:21)

²²And upon the top of the pillars was lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

²³Kemudian Huram membuat sebuah bejana perunggu yang bundar, dengan ukuran sebagai berikut: dalamnya 2,2 meter, garis tengahnya 4,4 meter dan lingkarnya 13,2 meter.

²³And he made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height thereof was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.

²⁴Sekeliling tepi luarnya dihias dengan dua jajar buah labu, yang dicor bersama-sama dengan bejana itu.

²⁴And under the brim of it round about there were knops which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about: the knops were in two rows, cast when it was cast.

²⁵Bejana itu ditempatkan di atas punggung dua belas sapi perunggu--tiga menghadap ke utara, tiga ke selatan, tiga ke barat, dan tiga ke timur.

²⁵It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set upon them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.

²⁶Tebal bejana itu 75 milimeter. Tepinya serupa tepi cangkir yang melengkung keluar mirip bunga bakung yang mekar. Bejana itu dapat memuat kira-kira 40.000 liter.

²⁶And it was a handbreadth thick: and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths.

²⁷Huram juga membuat sepuluh kereta perunggu, masing-masing panjangnya 1,8 meter, lebarnya 1,8 meter, tingginya 1,3 meter.

²⁷And he made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.

²⁸Kereta-kereta itu terdiri dari papan-papan persegi yang dipasang dalam bingkai.

²⁸And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;

²⁹Papan-papan itu dihias dengan ukiran singa, sapi dan kerub. Pada bingkai-bingkainya--di atas dan di bawah gambar-gambar singa dan sapi itu--tergantung ukiran rangkaian bunga.

²⁹and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and upon the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.

³⁰Setiap kereta itu mempunyai empat roda perunggu dengan poros roda dari perunggu juga. Pada keempat sudut kereta itu ada tiang penahan baskom dari perunggu dengan hiasan rangkaian bunga di sebelah luarnya.

³⁰And every base had four brazen wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet thereof had undersetters: beneath the laver were the undersetters molten, with wreaths at the side of each.

³¹Bagian atas keempat tiang penahan itu dihubungkan oleh sebuah bingkai bundar untuk penahan baskomnya. Tiang-tiang penahan itu menonjol setinggi 44 sentimeter di atas papan persegi itu, dan 22 sentimeter di bawahnya. Pada mulut bingkai itu ada ukiran.

³¹And the mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and the mouth thereof was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also upon the mouth of it were gravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round.

³²Tinggi roda-rodanya 66 sentimeter; letaknya di bawah papan-papan. Poros rodanya dengan keretanya merupakan satu bagian.

³²And the four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axletrees of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.

³³Roda-rodanya itu serupa dengan roda kereta perang; lingkar roda, jari-jari, poros dan pusat jari-jari rodanya semuanya terbuat dari perunggu.

³³And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their felloes, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.

³⁴Ada empat tiang penahan pada setiap sudut bagian bawah kereta itu. Tiang-tiang itu merupakan satu bagian dengan keretanya.

³⁴And there were four undersetters at the four corners of each base: the undersetters thereof were of the base itself.

³⁵Di sekeliling bagian atas kereta itu ada pinggiran selebar 22 sentimeter. Tiang penahannya dan papan-papannya semuanya merupakan satu bagian dengan keretanya.

³⁵And in the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays thereof and the panels thereof were of the same.

³⁶Tiang-tiang penahan dan papan-papan itu dihiasi dengan gambar kerub, singa, dan pohon palem di mana saja ada tempat yang kosong untuk itu, disertai rangkaian bunga sekelilingnya.

³⁶And on the plates of the stays thereof, and on the panels thereof, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm-trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.

³⁷Demikianlah caranya kereta-kereta itu dibuat. Semuanya serupa--bentuk dan ukurannya.

³⁷After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.

³⁸Huram membuat juga sepuluh baskom besar, satu untuk setiap kereta. Tiap baskom itu mempunyai garis tengah 1,8 meter dan dapat memuat 800 liter air.

³⁸And he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths; and every laver was four cubits; and upon very one of the ten bases one laver.

³⁹Huram menaruh lima kereta di sebelah selatan Rumah TUHAN, dan lima di sebelah utara. Bejana perunggu diletakkannya di sudut sebelah tenggara.

³⁹And he set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.

⁴⁰Huram membuat juga kuali-kuali, sekop-sekop dan mangkuk-mangkuk. Sesudah itu selesailah seluruh pekerjaannya bagi Raja Salomo untuk Rumah TUHAN. Inilah perlengkapan yang telah dibuatnya: Dua tiang besar; Dua kepala tiang berbentuk mangkuk yang ditempatkan di atas kedua tiang itu; Anyaman rantai pada setiap kepala tiang; Empat ratus delima perunggu yang disusun dalam dua jajar sekeliling anyaman rantai pada setiap kepala tiang; Sepuluh kereta; Sepuluh baskom besar; Bejana perunggu; Dua belas sapi perunggu yang menopang bejana itu; Kuali-kuali, sekop-sekop dan mangkuk-mangkuk. Semua perlengkapan untuk Rumah TUHAN itu, yang dibuat Huram untuk Raja Salomo, dibuat dari perunggu, dan digosok sampai berkilap.

⁴⁰And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of Jehovah:

⁴¹the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;

⁴²(7:40)

⁴²and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;

⁴³(7:40)

⁴³and the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

⁴⁴(7:40)

⁴⁴and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵(7:40)

⁴⁵and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of Jehovah, were of burnished brass.

⁴⁶Raja menyuruh membuat barang-barang itu di pengecoran logam antara Sukot dan Sartan di Lembah Yordan.

⁴⁶In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷Salomo tidak menyuruh menimbang barang-barang perunggu itu, sebab jumlahnya terlalu banyak. Jadi, berat barang-barang itu tidak diketahui.

⁴⁷And Solomon left all the vessels [unweighed], because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out.

⁴⁸Raja Salomo juga menyuruh membuat perlengkapan-perlengkapan lain dari emas untuk Rumah TUHAN. Inilah perlengkapan-perlengkapan yang dibuatnya itu: Mezbah; Meja untuk roti yang dipersembahkan kepada Allah; Sepuluh kaki pelita yang ditempatkan di depan Ruang Mahasuci yaitu lima di sebelah selatan dan lima di sebelah utara; Bunga-bunga; Pelita-pelita; Sepit-sepit; Cangkir-cangkir; Alat pemadam pelita; Mangkuk-mangkuk; Piring-piring untuk dupa; Piring-piring untuk bara; Engsel-engsel untuk pintu Ruang Mahasuci dan pintu-pintu luar Rumah TUHAN.

⁴⁸And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of Jehovah: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the showbread was, of gold;

⁴⁹(7:48)

⁴⁹and the candlesticks, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;

⁵⁰(7:48)

⁵⁰and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, [to wit], of the temple, of gold.

⁵¹Setelah Raja Salomo selesai membangun Rumah TUHAN, ia menyimpan di dalam gudang-gudang rumah itu semua perak, emas, dan barang-barang lain yang telah dipersembahkan oleh Daud ayahnya kepada TUHAN.

⁵¹Thus all the work that king Solomon wrought in the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.
