¹Mazmur Daud. Nyanyian untuk peresmian Rumah Allah. (30-2) Aku memuji Engkau, ya TUHAN, sebab Engkau sudah menyelamatkan aku dan tidak membiarkan musuhku menyoraki aku.

¹A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. [A Psalm] of David. I will extol thee, O Jehovah; for thou hast raised me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

²(30-3) TUHAN Allahku, aku berseru kepada-Mu minta tolong, dan Engkau menyembuhkan aku.

²O Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

³(30-4) Engkau meluputkan aku dari alam maut, dan menghidupkan aku dari antara orang-orang mati.

³O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

⁴(30-5) Nyanyikanlah puji-pujian bagi TUHAN, hai umat-Nya yang setia, dan bersyukurlah kepada Yang Mahasuci.

⁴Sing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial [name].

⁵(30-6) Sebab sebentar saja TUHAN marah, kebaikan-Nya berlangsung seumur hidup. Di waktu malam aku menangis, tetapi fajar membawa kegembiraan.

⁵For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy [cometh] in the morning.

⁶(30-7) Waktu merasa aman, aku berkata, "Aku tak akan dikalahkan!"

⁶As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

⁷(30-8) Sebab Engkau baik hati kepadaku, ya TUHAN, Kaujadikan aku seperti gunung yang kuat. Tetapi kemudian Engkau bersembunyi daripadaku, dan aku menjadi takut.

⁷Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

⁸(30-9) Kepada-Mu, ya TUHAN, aku berseru, kepada TUHAN aku memohon,

⁸I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication:

⁹(30-10) "Apa gunanya bagi-Mu jika aku mati dan turun ke liang kubur? Mungkinkah orang mati memuji Engkau dan mewartakan kesetiaan-Mu?

⁹What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

¹⁰(30-11) Dengarlah, ya TUHAN, dan kasihanilah aku. TUHAN tolonglah aku!"

¹⁰Hear, O Jehovah, and have mercy upon me: Jehovah, be thou my helper.

¹¹(30-12) Ratapanku telah Kauubah menjadi tarian gembira, Kauambil kesedihanku dan Kaupenuhi aku dengan sukacita.

¹¹Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

¹²(30-13) Maka aku tak mau berdiam diri; kunyanyikan pujian bagi-Mu, ya TUHAN Allahku, dan bersyukur kepada-Mu untuk selama-lamanya!

¹²To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
