2(8-3) dinyanyikan oleh anak-anak dan bayi. Pemerintahan-Mu teguh tak tergoyahkan untuk membungkamkan musuh dan lawan.
2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3(8-4) Bila kupandang langit yang Kauciptakan, bulan dan bintang-bintang yang Kaupasang,
3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4(8-5) apakah manusia itu, sehingga Kauingat dia, siapakah dia, sehingga Kaupelihara?
4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5(8-6) Tetapi Kauangkat dia hampir setara dengan Allah, kaumahkotai dia dengan keagungan dan kehormatan.
5For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.
6(8-7) Kauberi dia kuasa atas alam raya, seluruh ciptaan-Mu Kautundukkan kepadanya:
6Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:
7(8-8) domba, sapi dan ternak semuanya, juga binatang di padang belantara;
7All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,
8(8-9) burung-burung dan ikan-ikan, semua makhluk di dalam lautan.
8The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9(8-10) Ya TUHAN, Tuhan kami, keagungan-Mu termasyhur di seluruh bumi!
