¹Inilah Kabar Baik tentang Yesus Kristus, Anak Allah.

¹The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

⁴Seperti yang tertulis itu, begitulah juga muncul Yohanes di padang gurun. Ia membaptis orang dan menyampaikan berita dari Allah. "Kamu harus bertobat dari dosa-dosamu dan harus dibaptis, supaya Allah mengampuni kamu," begitu kata Yohanes.

⁴John came baptizing or, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

⁵Semua orang dari negeri Yudea dan kota Yerusalem pergi mendengar Yohanes. Mereka mengaku dosa-dosa mereka, dan Yohanes membaptis mereka di Sungai Yordan.

⁵All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

⁶John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

¹⁰Begitu Yesus keluar dari sungai itu, Ia melihat langit terbuka dan Roh Allah turun seperti burung merpati ke atas-Nya.

¹⁰Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

¹¹Kemudian terdengar suara Allah mengatakan, "Engkaulah Anak-Ku yang Kukasihi. Engkau menyenangkan hati-Ku."

¹¹A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

¹²Langsung sesudah itu Roh Allah membuat Yesus pergi ke padang gurun.

¹²Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

¹³Empat puluh hari Ia berada di situ, dicobai oleh Iblis. Binatang-binatang liar ada juga bersama-sama dengan Dia di situ, dan malaikat-malaikat melayani Dia.

¹³He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

¹⁴Setelah Yohanes dipenjarakan, Yesus pergi ke Galilea, dan mengabarkan Kabar Baik dari Allah di sana.

¹⁴Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,

¹⁵Kata-Nya, "Allah segera akan mulai memerintah. Bertobatlah dari dosa-dosamu, dan percayalah akan Kabar Baik yang dari Allah!"

¹⁵and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

¹⁶Ketika Yesus berjalan di pantai Danau Galilea, Ia melihat dua nelayan, yaitu Simon dan adiknya Andreas. Mereka sedang menangkap ikan di danau itu dengan jala.

¹⁶Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

¹⁷Yesus berkata kepada mereka, "Ikutlah Aku. Aku akan mengajar kalian menjala orang."

¹⁷Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

¹⁸Langsung mereka meninggalkan jala mereka lalu mengikuti Yesus.

¹⁸Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.

¹⁹Yesus berjalan terus, lalu melihat pula dua orang bersaudara yang lain, yaitu Yakobus dan Yohanes, anak-anak Zebedeus. Mereka berada di dalam perahu, dan sedang memperbaiki jala mereka.

¹⁹Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

²⁰Yesus langsung memanggil mereka. Dan mereka meninggalkan ayah mereka di dalam perahu bersama-sama dengan orang-orang gajiannya. Lalu mereka pergi mengikuti Yesus.

²⁰Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

²¹Yesus dan pengikut-pengikut-Nya tiba di kota Kapernaum. Pada hari Sabat berikutnya, Yesus masuk ke dalam rumah ibadat dan mulai mengajar.

²¹They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.

²²Orang-orang yang mendengar-Nya kagum akan cara-Nya Ia mengajar. Sebab, Ia mengajar dengan wibawa, tidak seperti guru-guru agama.

²²They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

²³Pada waktu itu seorang yang kemasukan roh jahat masuk ke dalam rumah ibadat, dan berteriak,

²³Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

²⁴"Hai Yesus, orang Nazaret, Engkau mau buat apa dengan kami? Engkau datang untuk membinasakan kami? Saya tahu siapa Engkau: Engkaulah utusan yang suci dari Allah!"

²⁴saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”

²⁵"Diam!" bentak Yesus kepada roh itu, "keluarlah dari orang ini!"

²⁵Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

²⁶Maka roh jahat itu menggoncang-goncangkan orang itu keras-keras, kemudian keluar dari orang itu sambil berteriak.

²⁶The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

²⁷Semua orang heran sekali, sehingga mereka berkata satu sama lain, "Wah, apa ini? Suatu pengajaran yang baru! Dengan wibawa dan kuasa Ia memerintahkan roh-roh jahat keluar, dan mereka taat kepada-Nya!"

²⁷They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”

²⁸Maka berita tentang Yesus tersebar dengan cepat ke seluruh daerah Galilea.

²⁸The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

²⁹Yesus dan pengikut-pengikut-Nya meninggalkan rumah ibadat itu, dan pergi ke rumah Simon dan Andreas. Yakobus dan Yohanes pergi juga bersama mereka.

²⁹Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

³⁰Ibu mertua Simon sedang sakit demam di tempat tidur. Jadi waktu Yesus dan pengikut-pengikut-Nya masuk ke rumah itu, Yesus diberitahukan tentang hal itu.

³⁰Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

³¹Maka Yesus pergi kepada ibu mertua Simon, dan memegang tangannya, lalu menolong dia bangun. Demamnya hilang, dan ia pun mulai melayani mereka.

³¹He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.

³²Petang harinya, sesudah matahari terbenam, orang-orang membawa kepada Yesus semua orang yang sakit dan yang kemasukan roh jahat.

³²At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.

³³Seluruh penduduk kota itu berkerumun di depan rumah itu.

³³All the city was gathered together at the door.

³⁴Lalu Yesus menyembuhkan banyak orang yang menderita bermacam-macam penyakit, dan mengusir juga banyak roh jahat. Ia tidak mengizinkan roh-roh jahat itu berbicara, sebab mereka tahu siapa Dia.

³⁴He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

³⁵Keesokan harinya, waktu masih subuh, Yesus bangun lalu meninggalkan rumah. Ia pergi ke tempat yang sunyi di luar kota, dan berdoa di sana.

³⁵Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.

³⁶Tetapi Simon dan teman-temannya pergi mencari Dia.

³⁶Simon and those who were with him followed after him;

³⁷Dan setelah mereka menemukan-Nya, mereka berkata, "Semua orang sedang mencari Bapak."

³⁷and they found him, and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

³⁸Tetapi Yesus menjawab, "Mari kita meneruskan perjalanan kita ke kota-kota lain di sekitar sini. Aku harus berkhotbah di sana juga, sebab itulah maksudnya Aku kemari."

³⁸He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”

³⁹Karena itu Yesus pergi ke mana-mana di seluruh Galilea, dan berkhotbah di rumah-rumah ibadat serta mengusir roh-roh jahat.

³⁹He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

⁴⁰Seorang yang berpenyakit kulit yang mengerikan datang kepada Yesus. Orang itu berlutut, dan berkata, "Kalau Bapak mau, Bapak dapat menyembuhkan saya."

⁴⁰A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”

⁴¹Yesus kasihan kepada orang itu. Jadi, Ia menjamah orang itu sambil berkata, "Aku mau, sembuhlah!"

⁴¹Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”

⁴²Saat itu juga penyakitnya hilang dan ia sembuh.

⁴²When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.

⁴³Lalu Yesus menyuruh dia pergi dengan peringatan ini,

⁴³He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,

⁴⁴"Awas, jangan ceritakan kepada siapa pun, tetapi pergilah kepada imam, dan minta dia untuk memastikan engkau sudah sembuh. Lalu untuk penyembuhanmu itu, persembahkanlah kurban menurut yang diperintahkan Musa, sebagai bukti kepada orang-orang bahwa engkau sungguh-sungguh sudah sembuh."

⁴⁴and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

⁴⁵Tetapi orang itu pergi, dan terus-menerus menceritakan kejadian itu di mana-mana sampai Yesus tidak dapat masuk kota dengan terang-terangan. Ia hanya tinggal di luar kota di tempat-tempat sunyi. Namun orang terus saja datang kepada-Nya dari mana-mana.

⁴⁵But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
