1Mazmur kaum Korah. (48-2) Sungguh agunglah TUHAN dan sangat terpuji di kota Allah kita, di bukit yang suci.
1Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
2(48-3) Sion, bukit Allah menjulang permai kota Raja Agung menggirangkan seluruh bumi.
2Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King.
3(48-4) Allah tinggal di dalam puri-purinya, ternyata Ia sendirilah pelindung-Nya.
3God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.
4(48-5) Lihatlah, raja-raja berkumpul; mereka datang hendak menyerbu.
4For, behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.
5(48-6) Tapi melihat bukit itu, mereka tercengang; mereka gempar dan lari kebingungan.
5They saw it, then they were amazed. They were dismayed. They hurried away.
6(48-7) Di sana mereka gemetar ketakutan dan kesakitan, seperti wanita yang mau melahirkan,
6Trembling took hold of them there, pain, as of a woman in travail.
7(48-8) seperti kapal yang hancur dalam topan.
7With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.
8(48-9) Seperti yang kita dengar, kini kita melihatnya, di Kota TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa. Kota itu adalah Kota Allah kita, Ia membelanya untuk selama-lamanya.
8As we have heard, so we have seen, in the city of Yahweh of Armies, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. Selah.
9(48-10) Di dalam Rumah-Mu kami merenungkan kasih-Mu, ya Allah.
9We have thought about your loving kindness, God, in the midst of your temple.
10(48-11) Nama-Mu termasyhur dan dipuji di seluruh bumi, Engkau memerintah dengan adil.
10As is your name, God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness.
11(48-12) Biarlah rakyat Sion dan Yehuda bersorak gembira, karena Engkau menghukum lawan mereka.
11Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of your judgments.
12(48-13) Kelilingilah Sion, putarilah dia, dan hitunglah menaranya.
12Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers.
13(48-14) Perhatikan temboknya, periksalah bentengnya, supaya kamu dapat menceritakan kepada keturunanmu;
13Mark well her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation.
14(48-15) "Dialah Allah, Allah kita untuk selama-lamanya, Dia akan memimpin kita sampai kekal."
14For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.
