¹民のつかさたちはエルサレムに住み、その他の民はくじを引いて、十人のうちからひとりずつを、聖都エルサレムに来て住ませ、九人を他の町々に住ませた。

¹The princes of the people lived in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.

²またすべてみずから進みでてエルサレムに住むことを申し出た人々は、民はこれを祝福した。

²The people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

³さてエルサレムに住んだこの州の長たちは次のとおりである。ただしユダの町々ではおのおのその町々にある自分の所有地に住んだ。すなわちイスラエルびと、祭司、レビびと、宮に仕えるしもべ、およびソロモンのしもべであった者たちの子孫である。

³Now these are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah everyone lived in his possession in their cities: Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon’s servants.

⁴そしてエルサレムにはユダの子孫およびベニヤミンの子孫のうちのある者たちが住んだ。すなわちユダの子孫ではウジヤの子アタヤで、ウジヤはゼカリヤの子、ゼカリヤはアマリヤの子、アマリヤはシパテヤの子、シパテヤはマハラレルの子、マハラレルはペレヅの子孫である。

⁴In Jerusalem lived certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;

⁵またバルクの子マアセヤで、バルクはコロホゼの子、コロホゼはハザヤの子、ハザヤはアダヤの子、アダヤはヨヤリブの子、ヨヤリブはゼカリヤの子、ゼカリヤはシロニびとの子である。

⁵and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

⁶ペレヅの子孫でエルサレムに住んだ者は合わせて四百六十八人で、みな勇敢な人々である。

⁶All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.

⁷ベニヤミンの子孫では次のとおりである。すなわちメシュラムの子サルで、メシュラムはヨエデの子、ヨエデはペダヤの子、ペダヤはコラヤの子、コラヤはマアセヤの子、マアセヤはイテエルの子、イテエルはエサヤの子である。

⁷These are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.

⁸その次はガバイおよびサライなどで合わせて九百二十八人。

⁸After him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty-eight.

¹²and their brothers who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,

¹³and his brothers, chiefs of fathers’ households, two hundred forty-two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

¹⁴その兄弟である勇士は百二十八人あり、その監督はハッゲドリムの子ザブデエルである。

¹⁴and their brothers, mighty men of valor, one hundred twenty-eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

¹⁵Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

¹⁶and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of God’s house;

¹⁷またミカの子マッタニヤがある。ミカはザブデの子、ザブデはアサフの子である。マッタニヤは祈の時に感謝の言葉を唱え始める者である。その兄弟のうちのバクブキヤは彼に次ぐ者であった。またシャンマの子アブダがある。シャンマはガラルの子、ガラルはエドトンの子である。

¹⁷and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

¹⁸聖都におるレビびとは合わせて二百八十四人であった。

¹⁸All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.

¹⁹門衛では門を守るアックブ、タルモンおよびその兄弟たち合わせて百七十二人である。

¹⁹Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were one hundred seventy-two.

²⁰その他のイスラエルびと、祭司、レビびとたちは皆ユダのすべての町々にあって、おのおの自分の嗣業にとどまった。

²⁰The residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, everyone in his inheritance.

²¹ただし宮に仕えるしもべたちはオペルに住み、ヂハおよびギシパが宮に仕えるしもべたちを監督していた。

²¹But the Nethinim lived in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.

²²エルサレムにおるレビびとの監督はウジである。ウジはバニの子、バニはハシャビヤの子、ハシャビヤはマッタニヤの子、マッタニヤはミカの子である。ミカは歌うたう者なるアサフの子孫である。ウジは神の宮のわざを監督した。

²²The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of God’s house.

²³彼らについては王からの命令があって、歌うたう者に日々の定まった分を与えさせた。

²³For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.

²⁴またユダの子ゼラの子孫であるメシザベルの子ペタヒヤは王の手に属して民に関するすべての事を取り扱った。

²⁴Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.

²⁵また村々とその田畑については、ユダの子孫の者はキリアテ・アルバとその村々、デボンとその村々、エカブジエルとその村々に住み、

²⁵As for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, and in Dibon and its towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,

³³Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

³⁴ハデデ、ゼボイム、ネバラテ、

³⁵Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
