¹わたしは主を愛する。主はわが声と、わが願いとを聞かれたからである。

²主はわたしに耳を傾けられたので、わたしは生きるかぎり主を呼びまつるであろう。

³死の綱がわたしを取り巻き、陰府の苦しみがわたしを捕えた。わたしは悩みと悲しみにあった。

⁴その時わたしは主のみ名を呼んだ。「主よ、どうぞわたしをお救いください」と。

⁵主は恵みふかく、正しくいらせられ、われらの神はあわれみに富まれる。

⁶主は無学な者を守られる。わたしが低くされたとき、主はわたしを救われた。

⁷わが魂よ、おまえの平安に帰るがよい。主は豊かにおまえをあしらわれたからである。

⁷Return to your rest, my soul, for Yahweh has dealt bountifully with you.

⁸あなたはわたしの魂を死から、わたしの目を涙から、わたしの足をつまずきから助け出されました。

⁸For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

⁹わたしは生ける者の地で、主のみ前に歩みます。

¹⁰「わたしは大いに悩んだ」と言った時にもなお信じた。

¹⁰I believed, therefore I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”

¹¹わたしは驚きあわてたときに言った、「すべての人は当にならぬ者である」と。

¹¹I said in my haste, “All men are liars.”

¹²わたしに賜わったもろもろの恵みについて、どうして主に報いることができようか。

¹³わたしは救の杯をあげて、主のみ名を呼ぶ。

¹⁴わたしはすべての民の前で、主にわが誓いをつぐなおう。

¹⁴I will pay my vows to Yahweh, yes, in the presence of all his people.

¹⁵主の聖徒の死はそのみ前において尊い。

¹⁶主よ、わたしはあなたのしもべです。わたしはあなたのしもべ、あなたのはしための子です。あなたはわたしのなわめを解かれました。

¹⁶Yahweh, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.

¹⁷わたしは感謝のいけにえをあなたにささげて、主のみ名を呼びます。

¹⁸I will pay my vows to Yahweh, yes, in the presence of all his people,
