¹正しき者よ、主によって喜べ、さんびは直き者にふさわしい。

¹Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

²琴をもって主をさんびせよ、十弦の立琴をもって主をほめたたえよ。

²Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

³新しい歌を主にむかって歌い、喜びの声をあげて巧みに琴をかきならせ。

³Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

⁴主のみことばは直く、そのすべてのみわざは真実だからである。

⁴For the word of Yahweh is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

⁵主は正義と公平とを愛される。地は主のいつくしみで満ちている。

⁵He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.

⁶もろもろの天は主のみことばによって造られ、天の万軍は主の口の息によって造られた。

⁶By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

⁷主は海の水を水がめの中に集めるように集め、深い淵を倉におさめられた。

⁷He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

⁸全地は主を恐れ、世に住むすべての者は主を恐れかしこめ。

⁸Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁹主が仰せられると、そのようになり、命じられると、堅く立ったからである。

⁹For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

¹⁰主はもろもろの国のはかりごとをむなしくし、もろもろの民の企てをくじかれる。

¹⁰Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹¹主のはかりごとはとこしえに立ち、そのみこころの思いは世々に立つ。

¹¹The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹²主をおのが神とする国はさいわいである。主がその嗣業として選ばれた民はさいわいである。

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

¹³主は天から見おろされ、すべての人の子らを見、

¹³Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

¹⁴そのおられる所から地に住むすべての人をながめられる。

¹⁵主はすべて彼らの心を造り、そのすべてのわざに心をとめられる。

¹⁵he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

¹⁶王はその軍勢の多きによって救を得ない。勇士はその力の大いなるによって助けを得ない。

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁷馬は勝利に頼みとならない。その大いなる力も人を助けることはできない。

¹⁷A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁸見よ、主の目は主を恐れる者の上にあり、そのいつくしみを望む者の上にある。

¹⁸Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;

¹⁹これは主が彼らの魂を死から救い、ききんの時にも生きながらえさせるためである。

¹⁹to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

²⁰われらの魂は主を待ち望む。主はわれらの助け、われらの盾である。

²⁰Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.

²¹われらは主の聖なるみ名に信頼するがゆえに、われらの心は主にあって喜ぶ。主よ、われらが待ち望むように、あなたのいつくしみをわれらの上にたれてください。

²¹For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²²主よ、われらが待ち望むように、あなたのいつくしみをわれらの上にたれてください。

²²Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.
