¹御使はまた、水晶のように輝いているいのちの水の川をわたしに見せてくれた。この川は、神と小羊との御座から出て、

¹He showed me a TR adds “pure” river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,

²都の大通りの中央を流れている。川の両側にはいのちの木があって、十二種の実を結び、その実は毎月みのり、その木の葉は諸国民をいやす。

²in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

³のろわるべきものは、もはや何ひとつない。神と小羊との御座は都の中にあり、その僕たちは彼を礼拝し、

³There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him.

⁴御顔を仰ぎ見るのである。彼らの額には、御名がしるされている。

⁴They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

⁵夜は、もはやない。あかりも太陽の光も、いらない。主なる神が彼らを照し、そして、彼らは世々限りなく支配する。

⁵There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

⁶彼はまた、わたしに言った、「これらの言葉は信ずべきであり、まことである。預言者たちのたましいの神なる主は、すぐにも起るべきことをその僕たちに示そうとして、御使をつかわされたのである。

⁶He said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.”

⁷見よ、わたしは、すぐに来る。この書の預言の言葉を守る者は、さいわいである」。

⁷ “Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

⁸これらのことを見聞きした者は、このヨハネである。わたしが見聞きした時、それらのことを示してくれた御使の足もとにひれ伏して拝そうとすると、

⁸Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things.

⁹彼は言った、「そのようなことをしてはいけない。わたしは、あなたや、あなたの兄弟である預言者たちや、この書の言葉を守る者たちと、同じ僕仲間である。ただ神だけを拝しなさい」。

⁹He said to me, “See you don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

¹⁰またわたしに言った、「この書の預言の言葉を封じてはならない。時が近づいているからである。

¹⁰He said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

¹¹不義な者はさらに不義を行い、汚れた者はさらに汚れたことを行い、義なる者はさらに義を行い、聖なる者はさらに聖なることを行うままにさせよ」。

¹¹He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.”

¹²「見よ、わたしはすぐに来る。報いを携えてきて、それぞれのしわざに応じて報いよう。

¹² “Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.

¹³わたしはアルパであり、オメガである。最初の者であり、最後の者である。初めであり、終りである。

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

¹⁴いのちの木にあずかる特権を与えられ、また門をとおって都にはいるために、自分の着物を洗う者たちは、さいわいである。

¹⁴ Blessed are those who do his commandments, NU reads “wash their robes” instead of “do his commandments”. that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

¹⁵犬ども、まじないをする者、姦淫を行う者、人殺し、偶像を拝む者、また、偽りを好みかつこれを行う者はみな、外に出されている。

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

¹⁶わたしイエスは、使をつかわして、諸教会のために、これらのことをあなたがたにあかしした。わたしは、ダビデの若枝また子孫であり、輝く明けの明星である」。

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the Bright and Morning Star.”

¹⁷御霊も花嫁も共に言った、「きたりませ」。また、聞く者も「きたりませ」と言いなさい。かわいている者はここに来るがよい。いのちの水がほしい者は、価なしにそれを受けるがよい。

¹⁷The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” He who hears, let him say, “Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

¹⁸この書の預言の言葉を聞くすべての人々に対して、わたしは警告する。もしこれに書き加える者があれば、神はその人に、この書に書かれている災害を加えられる。

¹⁸I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

¹⁹また、もしこの預言の書の言葉をとり除く者があれば、神はその人の受くべき分を、この書に書かれているいのちの木と聖なる都から、とり除かれる。

¹⁹If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

²⁰これらのことをあかしするかたが仰せになる、「しかり、わたしはすぐに来る」。アァメン、主イエスよ、きたりませ。主イエスの恵みが、一同の者と共にあるように。

²⁰He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I come quickly.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus.

²¹主イエスの恵みが、一同の者と共にあるように。

²¹The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
