Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

5

1Di mkul amkan nesla yedṛa leḥṛam d ameqqran gar-awen, d ayen ur nețțaf ara ulamma ger leǧnas nniḍen, tessawḍem armi yiwen deg-wen yețɛic di leḥṛam akk ț-țmeṭṭut n baba-s !
1It is universally reported [that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as [is] not even among the nations, so that one should have his father's wife.
2Yerna mazal-ikkun tețzuxxum ! Ilaq-awen aț-țilim di leḥzen, argaz i gxeddmen annect-agi ilaq a t tessufɣem si gar-awen ;
2And *ye* are puffed up, and ye have not rather mourned, in order that he that has done this deed might be taken away out of the midst of you.
3ma d nekk, ɣas beɛdeɣ fell-awen leɛqel-iw yella yid-wen ; atan sḍelmeɣ win ixedmen lɛaṛ-agi am akken lliɣ yid-wen.
3For *I*, [as] absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged as present,
4S yisem n Sidna Ɛisa, s tezmert is, nnejmaɛet aql-i yid-wen :
4[to deliver,] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (ye and my spirit being gathered together, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ), him that has so wrought this:
5ssufɣet akkin argaz am wagi, sellmet-eț i tezmert n Cciṭan ad issenger lǧețța-s iwakken ṛṛuḥ-is ad ițwasellek ass n tuɣalin n Ssid-nneɣ Ɛisa.
5to deliver him, [I say,] [being] such, to Satan for destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6A wen-d-iniɣ : zzux-agi-nwen ur imɛin ara ! Eɛni ur tessinem ara lemtel i d-yeqqaṛen belli cwiṭ n yiɣes n temtunt yessalay arukti meṛṛa ?
6Your boasting [is] not good. Do ye not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7Ssizdeget iman-nwen, kkset si gar-awen tamtunt ( iɣes ) taqdimt n ddnub iwakken aț-țilim d arukti ajdid yeṣfan. Ț-țideț d arukti ajdid yeṣfan i tellam, axaṭer Tafaska-nneɣ tebda, imi Lmasiḥ yellan d izimer nneɣ n leslak yefka iman-is d asfel.
7Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened. For also our passover, Christ, has been sacrificed;
8Tura ihi a nkemmel lɛid weɣṛum mbla tamtunt ( iɣes ), mačči s temtunt-nni ixesṛen yellan d ddnub akk-d cceṛ, meɛna s weɣṛum ur nesɛi tamtunt ( iɣes ) yellan d ṣṣfa akk-d tideț.
8so that let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.
9Di tebṛaț-nni i wen-n-uriɣ, nniɣ awen-d ur țeddut ara d wid yețɛicin di leḥṛam.
9I have written to you in the epistle not to mix with fornicators;
10Ur wen-d-nniɣ ara annect-agi ɣef wat ddunit yețɛicin di leḥṛam, yeččuṛen d ṭṭmeɛ, d lexdeɛ ț-țukeṛda, yețɛebbiden lmeṣnuɛat am Ṛebbi, neɣ m'ulac ilaq-awen aț-țeffɣem si ddunit-agi.
10not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the avaricious and rapacious, or idolaters, since [then] ye should go out of the world.
11Meɛna nniɣ-awen-d : ur țemxalaḍet ara d win yețțarran iman-is d amasiḥi yili nețța yețɛici di leḥṛam, yeččuṛ d ṭṭmeɛ, d lexdeɛ, iheddeṛ ɣef wiyaḍ, iɛebbed lmeṣnuɛat, d asekṛan, d amakar. Ur țɣimit ara d wergaz am agi ulamma ɣer lqut.
11But now I have written to you, if any one called brother be fornicator, or avaricious, or idolater, or abusive, or a drunkard, or rapacious, not to mix with [him]; with such a one not even to eat.
12Acu ara ɣ-yawin a nḥaseb wid n beṛṛa ? Eɛni mačči d wid yellan gar-awen i glaq aț-țḥasbem ?
12For what have *I* [to do] with judging those outside also? *ye*, do not ye judge them that are within?
13Wid n beṛṛa d Ṛebbi ara ten-iḥasben. Meɛna akken yura di tira iqedsen : Stixṛet amcum si gar-awen.
13But those without God judges. Remove the wicked person from amongst yourselves.
