Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

7

1A nɛeddit tura ɣer isteqsiyen i yi-d-tefkam di tebṛaț-nwen teqqaṛem : « D ayen yelhan i wergaz m'ur yezwiǧ ara ».
1But concerning the things of which ye have written [to me]: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman;
2Ț-țideț, meɛna iwakken ur d-yețțili ara leḥṛam, axiṛ-as i wergaz ad yesɛu tameṭṭut-is, axiṛ-as i tmeṭṭut aț-țesɛu argaz-is.
2but on account of fornications, let each have his own wife, and each [woman] have her own husband.
3Argaz ilaq ad ixdem lebɣi i tmeṭṭut-is, tameṭṭut daɣen ilaq aț-țexdem lebɣi i wergaz-is.
3Let the husband render her due to the wife, and in like manner the wife to the husband.
4Tameṭṭut ur tezmir ara aț-țexdem ayen tebɣa s lǧețța-s, axaṭer lǧețța-s d ayla n wergaz-is ; argaz daɣen ur yezmir ara ad yexdem ayen i gebɣa s lǧețța-s, axaṭer lǧețța-s d ayla n tmeṭṭut-is.
4The wife has not authority over her own body, but the husband: in like manner also the husband has not authority over his own body, but the wife.
5Ur țemyagit ara gar-awen anagar ma yella temsefhamem iwakken aț-țeǧǧem kra n wussan i tẓallit ; imiren ddukklet daɣen ; ḥadret a wen-yaf Cciṭan abrid a kkun-iɣuṛṛ ma yella ur tezmirem ara aț-țeṭṭfem iman-nwen.
5Defraud not one another, unless, it may be, by consent for a time, that ye may devote yourselves to prayer, and again be together, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency.
6Ayagi mačči d lameṛ i wen-fkiɣ, meɛna d aweṣṣi kan i kkun-weṣṣaɣ.
6But this I say, as consenting [to], not as commanding [it].
7Lemmer ufiɣ medden akk ad ilin am nekk, meɛna mkul yiwen d acu i s-d-ifka Sidi Ṛebbi, wa yefka-yas-d aya, wayeḍ yefka-yas-d ayen nniḍen.
7Now I wish all men to be even as myself: but every one has his own gift of God: one man thus, and another thus.
8I wid ur nezwiǧ ara akk-d tuǧǧal a sen-iniɣ : yelha-yasen ma qqimen am nekk.
8But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, It is good for them that they remain even as I.
9Meɛna m'ur zmiren ara ad ṭṭfen iman-nsen, ad zewǧen axiṛ. Axiṛ-asen ad zewǧen wala aț-țecɛel tmes deg wulawen-nsen.
9But if they have not control over themselves, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.
10A d-fkeɣ lameṛ i imasiḥiyen izewǧen ; lameṛ-agi mačči s ɣuṛ-i i d-yekka meɛna s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi : tameṭṭut izewǧen ur ilaq ara aț-țeǧǧ argaz-is :
10But to the married I enjoin, not *I*, but the Lord, Let not wife be separated from husband;
11ma yella teǧǧa-t, ur s-ilaq ara aț-țɛawed zzwaǧ. Neɣ ma tebɣa, tezmer aț-țemṣalaḥ yid-es aț-țuɣal ɣuṛ-es. Argaz daɣen ur s-ilaq ara ad yebru i tmeṭṭut-is.
11(but if also she shall have been separated, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband;) and let not husband leave wife.
12Ɣef wayen yeɛnan wiyaḍ atan wayen zemreɣ a d-iniɣ ( ayagi s ɣuṛ-i mačči s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi ) : ma yella yiwen seg watmaten yesɛa tameṭṭut ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ yili teqbel aț-țeqqim d wergaz-is, ur ilaq ara a s-yebru ;
12But as to the rest, *I* say, not the Lord, If any brother have an unbelieving wife, and *she* consent to dwell with him, let him not leave her.
13akken daɣen, tameṭṭut tamasiḥit yesɛan argaz ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ yili yeqbel ad iɛic yid-es, ur ilaq ara aț-țerwel fell-as.
13And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to dwell with her, let her not leave [her] husband.
14Axaṭer argaz ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ yella seddaw leɛnaya n Sidi Ṛebbi s tmeṭṭut-is yumnen ; daɣen tameṭṭut ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ, tella seddaw leɛnaya n Sidi Ṛebbi s wergaz-is yumnen ; neɣ m'ulac dderya-nsen ad țwaḥesben d dderya n leḥṛam nutni yellan d dderya n leḥlal.
14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the brother; since [otherwise] indeed your children are unclean, but now they are holy.
15Ma yella win ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ yebɣa ad imfaṛaq akk-d tmeṭṭut-is i gumnen, neɣ tameṭṭut ur numin ara s Lmasiḥ tebɣa aț-țemfaṛaq akk-d wergaz-is i gumnen, zemren ad mfaṛaqen ; argaz-nni neɣ tameṭṭut-nni yellan d imasiḥiyen ur d-yeqqim wayen i ten-icerken, axaṭer Sidi Ṛebbi yessawel aɣ-d iwakken a nɛic di lehna.
15But if the unbeliever go away, let them go away; a brother or a sister is not bound in such [cases], but God has called us in peace.
16Yerna amek i teẓriḍ kemm a tameṭṭut tamasiḥit belli tzemṛeḍ aț-țselkeḍ argaz-im ? Neɣ amek i teẓriḍ kečč ay argaz amasiḥi belli tzemreḍ aț-țselkeḍ tameṭṭut-ik ?
16For what knowest thou, O wife, if thou shalt save thy husband? or what knowest thou, O husband, if thou shalt save thy wife?
17Ilaq yal yiwen ad yelḥu s wayen i s-d-yefka Sidi Ṛebbi, yerna ad yeqqim di lḥala i deg yella asmi i s-d-yessawel. Akka i țweṣṣiɣ tijmuyaɛ n watmaten meṛṛa.
17However, as the Lord has divided to each, as God has called each, so let him walk; and thus I ordain in all the assemblies.
18Ma yella walebɛaḍ yuɣ-it lḥal yexten mi s-d-yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi, ilaq ad yeqqim akken yella ; ma yella walebɛaḍ ur yextin ara asmi i s-d-yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi, ur ilaq ara ad yexten.
18Has any one been called circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised: has any one been called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
19Yexten walebɛaḍ neɣ ur yextin ara ulac deg-s ; ayen yesɛan azal d ṭṭaɛa n lumuṛat n Sidi Ṛebbi.
19Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing; but keeping God's commandments.
20Ilaq yal yiwen ad iqqim akken i t-id-yufa lḥal asmi i s-d-yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi.
20Let each abide in that calling in which he has been called.
21D akli i telliḍ asmi i k-d yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi ? Ur țxemmim ara, meɛna ma tusa-yak-ed teswiɛt i deg tzemreḍ aț-țesɛuḍ tilelli, faṛes-iț.
21Hast thou been called [being] a bondman, let it not concern thee; but and if thou canst become free, use [it] rather.
22Axaṭer akli iwumi d-yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi yuɣal d win yesɛan tilelli ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi ; daɣen amdan aḥuṛṛi iwumi d-yessawel Sidi Ṛebbi yuɣal d akli n Lmasiḥ.
22For the bondman that is called in [the] Lord is the Lord's freedman; in like manner [also] the freeman being called is Christ's bondman.
23Yella win ixelṣen fell-awen iwakken aț-țilim d iḥuṛṛiyen, ihi ur țțuɣalet ara d aklan n yemdanen.
23Ye have been bought with a price; do not be the bondmen of men.
24Ihi ay atmaten, ilaq yal yiwen ad yeqqim zdat Ṛebbi di lḥala i deg yella asmi s-d-yessawel.
24Let each, wherein he is called, brethren, therein abide with God.
25Ɣef wayen yeɛnan wid ur nezwiǧ ara, Sidi Ṛebbi ur d-yenni kra fell-asen, meɛna a wen-d-fkeɣ ṛṛay-iw, nekk yerra Sidi Ṛebbi s ṛṛeḥma-ines tameqqrant d argaz yuklalen lețkal.
25But concerning virgins, I have no commandment of [the] Lord; but I give my opinion, as having received mercy of [the] Lord to be faithful.
26Ɣuṛ-i d ayen yelhan i wergaz ma yeqqim akken yella ɣef ddemma n lweqt-agi iweɛṛen.
26I think then that this is good, on account of the present necessity, that [it is] good for a man to remain so as he is.
27Ma txeḍbeḍ tameṭṭut, ur țnadi ara a ț-teǧǧeḍ ; m'ur tezwiǧeḍ ara, ur țnadi ara aț-țzewǧeḍ.
27Art thou bound to a wife? seek not to be loosed; art thou free from a wife? do not seek a wife.
28Tura ma yella ilemẓi neɣ tilemẓit zewǧen, ur wwin ara ddnub ; meɛna wid ara izewǧen ad ṛwun lḥif di tudert-nsen ; nekk mačči d ayen i wen-mennaɣ.
28But if thou shouldest also marry, thou hast not sinned; and if the virgin marry, they have not sinned: but such shall have tribulation in the flesh; but I spare you.
29Atan wayen ara d-iniɣ ay atmaten : lweqt ițțazal, drus i d iqqimen, wid izewǧen ilaq ad ilin am akken ur zwiǧen ara,
29But this I say, brethren, the time is straitened. For the rest, that they who have wives, be as not having [any]:
30wid yețrun ad ilin am akken ur țrun ara, wid ifeṛḥen am akken ur fṛiḥen ara, wid yețțaɣen am akken ur sɛin ara.
30and they that weep, as not weeping; and they that rejoice, as not rejoicing; and they that buy, as not possessing;
31Wid yesɛan nnfeɛ di ddunit-agi am akken ur t-sɛin ara axaṭer ddunit-agi ur tețdum ara.
31and they that use the world, as not disposing of it as their own; for the fashion of this world passes.
32Ur bɣiɣ ara aț-țesɛum iɣeblan. Win ur nezwiǧ ara ițxemmim i lecɣal n Sidi Ṛebbi, yețnadi kan ad yeɛǧeb Sidi Ṛebbi ;
32But I wish you to be without care. The unmarried cares for the things of the Lord, how he shall please the Lord;
33meɛna win izewǧen yețxemmim ɣef lecɣal n ddunit, yețnadi ad yeɛǧeb i tmeṭṭut-is ; ul-is yebḍa ɣef sin.
33but he that has married cares for the things of the world, how he shall please his wife.
34Akken daɣen tameṭṭut ur nezwiǧ ara akk-d țlemẓit ; țxemmiment kan ɣef lecɣal n Sidi Ṛebbi iwakken ad ilint ț-țiqeddacin-ines s lǧețțat-nsent d ṛṛuḥ-nsent ; meɛna tin izewǧen tețxemmim kan ɣef lecɣal n ddunit d wamek ara teɛǧeb i wergaz-is.
34There is a difference between the wife and the virgin. The unmarried cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but she that has married cares for the things of the world, how she shall please her husband.
35Ur wen-d-nniɣ ara ayagi iwakken a kkun-kellxeɣ meɛna nniɣ awen-t-id i nnfeɛ-nwen axaṭer bɣiɣ aț-țeddum s tikli yelhan, yeṣfan iwakken aț-țeṭṭfem deg webrid n Lmasiḥ mačči deg wayen nniḍen.
35But I say this for your own profit; not that I may set a snare before you, but for what [is] seemly, and waiting on the Lord without distraction.
36Ma yella yiwen deg-wen ixḍeb tilemẓit, iḥar ur yezmir ara ad yeṛǧu ibɣa ad yezweǧ, mačči d ddnub ma yella yezweǧ.
36But if any one think that he behaves unseemly to his virginity, if he be beyond the flower of his age, and so it must be, let him do what he will, he does not sin: let them marry.
37Ma d win iqesden s lebɣi-ines ur izeggej ara, ma yella yeẓra iman-is yezmer ad iṣbeṛ, d ayen yelhan i gexdem m'ur yezwiǧ ara.
37But he who stands firm in his heart, having no need, but has authority over his own will, and has judged this in his heart to keep his own virginity, he does well.
38Ihi win izewǧen d ayen yelhan i gexdem, win ur nezwiǧ ara d ayen yelhan nezzeh.
38So that he that marries himself does well; and he that does not marry does better.
39Tameṭṭut izewǧen ur tezmir ara aț-țeǧǧ argaz-is skud mazal-it yedder, ma yella yemmut, tezmer aț-țɛiwed zzwaǧ d win tebɣa, acu kan ilaq ad yili d win yumnen s Lmasiḥ am nețțat.
39A wife is bound for whatever time her husband lives; but if the husband be fallen asleep, she is free to be married to whom she will, only in [the] Lord.
40Meɛna ɣef wakken walaɣ ma teqqim akken tella axiṛ-as, akken ara tesɛu lehna. Wagi d ṛṛay-iw nekk, ẓriɣ ula d nekk sɛiɣ Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi.
40But she is happier if she so remain, according to my judgment; but I think that *I* also have God's Spirit.
