4

1A wid eɛzizen, ḥadret iman-nwen ɣef kra n win ara wen-d-yinin heddṛeɣ s Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi, lameɛna jeṛṛbet-țen iwakken aț-țeẓrem ma yella s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi i d-kkan axaṭer, aṭas n lenbiya n lekdeb i gellan di ddunit.
1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2Atan wamek ara tɛeqlem ma yella yiwen yesɛa Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi : kra n win ara icehden belli Ɛisa Lmasiḥ yusa-d ɣer ddunit s ṣṣifa n wemdan, s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi i d-yusa.
2Hereby ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses Jesus Christ come in flesh is of God;
3Ma d win ara inekkṛen ayagi ɣef Sidna Ɛisa, mačči s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi i d-yekka lameɛna yekka-d si Ṛṛuḥ n weɛdaw n Lmasiḥ i ɣef teslam a d-yas ɣer ddunit, atan tura yella yakan di ddunit.
3and every spirit which does not confess Jesus Christ come in flesh is not of God: and this is that [power] of the antichrist, [of] which ye have heard that it comes, and now it is already in the world.
4Kunwi ay arrac imeẓyanen, d arraw n Sidi Ṛebbi i tellam, tɣelbem wid yesselmaden lekdeb, axaṭer Ṛṛuḥ yellan deg-wen yugar win yellan di ddunit.
4*Ye* are of God, children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that [is] in you than he that [is] in the world.
5Nutni n ddunit, daymi i țmeslayen s lɛeqliya n wat ddunit, yerna at ddunit smeḥsisen-asen.
5*They* are of the world; for this reason they speak [as] of the world, and the world hears them.
6Nukni d ayla n Sidi Ṛebbi ; win yebɣan ad yissin Sidi Ṛebbi yesmeḥsis-aɣ-d ; win ur nelli ara n Sidi Ṛebbi ur a ɣ-d-ismeḥsis ara : s wakka ara neɛqel Ṛṛuḥ n tideț akk-d Ṛṛuḥ n lekdeb.
6*We* are of God; he that knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
7A wid eɛzizen, ilaq a nemyeḥmal wway gar-aneɣ axaṭer Sidi Ṛebbi s yiman-is, d leḥmala ; kra n wid yesɛan leḥmala deg ulawen-nsen, d arraw n Sidi Ṛebbi i llan yerna ssnen Sidi Ṛebbi.
7Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.
8Kra n win ur nesɛi ara leḥmala deg wul-is ur yessin ara Sidi Ṛebbi, axaṭer leḥmala s ɣuṛ-es i d-tekk.
8He that loves not has not known God; for God is love.
9Atah wamek i d-isban Sidi Ṛebbi belli iḥemmel-aɣ : Sidi Ṛebbi iceggeɛ-ed Mmi-s awḥid ɣer ddunit iwakken yis a nesɛu tudert.
9Herein as to us has been manifested the love of God, that God has sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10Ațah d acu i d leḥmala : mačči d nukni i gḥemmlen Sidi Ṛebbi lameɛna d nețța i ɣ-iḥemmlen armi i d iceggeɛ Mmi-s ad yefk iman-is d asfel i leɛfu n ddnubat-nneɣ.
10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son a propitiation for our sins.
11A wid eɛzizen, ma yella Sidi Ṛebbi iḥemmel-aɣ annect-agi, ilaq ula d nukni a nemyeḥmal wway gar-aneɣ.
11Beloved, if God has so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12Ulac win iwalan Sidi Ṛebbi s wallen-is, meɛna ma yella nemyeḥmal wway gar-aneɣ, Baba Ṛebbi yețțili deg-nneɣ, leḥmala-s tețban-ed deg-nneɣ.
12No one has seen God at any time: if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13Atah wamek ara neɛqel nukni nețțili deg-s nețța yețțili deg-nneɣ : imi i ɣ-d-yefka Ṛṛuḥ-ines.
13Hereby we know that we abide in him and he in us, that he has given to us of his Spirit.
14Nukni s yiman-nneɣ netɛeǧǧeb deg-s, daymi nezmer a d-neched belli Baba-tneɣ Ṛebbi iceggeɛ-ed Mmi-s, i leslak n ddunit.
14And *we* have seen, and testify, that the Father has sent the Son [as] Saviour of the world.
15Kra n win ara icehden belli Ɛisa d Mmi-s n Ṛebbi, Ṛebbi ad yețțili deg wul-is, nețța ad iṭṭef di Sidi Ṛebbi.
15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16Nukni nessen leḥmala i ɣ-iḥemmel Sidi Ṛebbi, yerna numen yis. Sidi Ṛebbi, d leḥmala ; win yesɛan leḥmala deg wul-is yeṭṭef di Sidi Ṛebbi, Sidi Ṛebbi yezdeɣ deg ul-is.
16And *we* have known and have believed the love which God has to us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
17Ma yella tennekmal leḥmala deg ulawen-nneɣ, a nesɛu lețkal i wass n lḥisab, axaṭer ayen yețɛeddin fell-aɣ di ddunit-a, d ayen yesɛedda Lmasiḥ s yiman-is.
17Herein has love been perfected with us that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that even as *he* is, *we* also are in this world.
18Win yesɛan leḥmala n tideț ur t-tkeččem ara tugdi ; leḥmala n tideț tessufuɣ tugdi, axaṭer tugdi tețțas-ed si lxuf n lɛiqab, win yețɛicin di tugdi werɛad yessaweḍ ɣer leḥmala n tideț.
18There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has torment, and he that fears has not been made perfect in love.
19Ma d nukni, nḥemmel Sidi Ṛebbi axaṭer d nețța i ɣ-iḥemmlen d amezwaru.
19*We* love because *he* has first loved us.
20Kra n win yeqqaṛen : ḥemmleɣ Sidi Ṛebbi yili yekṛeh gma-s, d akeddab, axaṭer win ur nḥemmel ara gma-s i gețwali, ur izmir ara ad iḥemmel Sidi Ṛebbi ur yețwali ara.
20If any one say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
21Atan ihi lameṛ i ɣ-d-iǧǧa Lmasiḥ : win iḥemmlen Sidi Ṛebbi ad iḥemmel daɣen gma-s. f+
21And this commandment have we from him, That he that loves God love also his brother.
