5

1Ad nhuɣ tura imeqqranen di liman yellan gar-awen. Nekk yellan d ameqqran am nutni, nekk iḥedṛen i leɛtab n Lmasiḥ, ițekkan di tmanegt-is ara d-ibanen ; a ten weṣṣiɣ :
1The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:
2Ḥadret wid i wen-d-iwekkel Sidi Ṛebbi akken ițḥadar umeksa ɣef qeḍɛit-is ; lhit ihi yid-sen s lebɣi-nwen, mačči sennig n wulawen-nwen, xedmet ayagi ɣef wudem n Sidi Ṛebbi mačči s ṭṭmeɛ.
2shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;
3Ur ssimɣuṛet ara iman-nwen ɣef wid i wen-d-iwekkel Sidi Ṛebbi, meɛna ilit d lemtel ara tebɛen.
3not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.
4Imiren asm' ara d-iban win yellan sennig imeqqranen meṛṛa, a wen d-tețțunefk tɛeṣṣabt n tmanegt ur nfennu.
4And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
5Ula d kunwi daɣen ay ilmeẓyen, qadṛet imeqqranen di liman ! Ddut s leqdeṛ d wannuz, axaṭer Sidi Ṛebbi ur iqebbel ara wid ițzuxxun, meɛna ițțak ṛṛeḥma-s i wid ițțanzen.
5Likewise [ye] younger, be subject to [the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [the] proud, but to [the] humble gives grace.
6Anzet ihi seddaw ufus iǧehden n Sidi Ṛebbi, iwakken a kkun-irfed di teswiɛt ilaqen.
6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in [the due] time;
7Rret akk iɣeblan-nwen ger ifassen-is, axaṭer ițḥebbiṛ fell-awen.
7having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.
8Ḥadret, Ɛasset iman-nwen axaṭer aɛdaw-nwen d Cciṭan, ițezzi iṛeɛɛed am yizem, ițqellib anwa ara issebleɛ.
8Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.
9Ur s-țaǧǧat ara abrid, sɛut liman iǧehden ; axaṭer teẓram belli atmaten nwen di ddunit meṛṛa, akka i tdeṛṛu yid-sen am kunwi.
9Whom resist, stedfast in faith, knowing that the selfsame sufferings are accomplished in your brotherhood which [is] in [the] world.
10M'ara tenneɛtabem kra n wussan, Sidi Ṛebbi Bab n mkul ṛṛeḥma i kkun-ixtaṛen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ iwakken aț-țilim di tmanegt-is ițdumun, a kkun-iheggi, a kkun iseggem, a kkun-isseǧhed, iwakken ur tɣellim ara.
10But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:
11I nețța lḥekma si lǧil ɣer lǧil. Amin !
11to him [be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen.
12S ufus n gma-tneɣ eɛzizen Silwan i ɣef nețkel, i wen-d-uriɣ kra n imeslayen-agi iwakken a kkun-nhuɣ yerna ad cehdeɣ belli ț-țagi i d ṛṛeḥma n tideț n Sidi Ṛebbi s wayes tumnem.
12By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [the] true grace of God in which ye stand.
13Tajmaɛt n watmaten yumnen s Lmasiḥ, yellan di temdint n Babilun țsellimen-d fell-awen ; ula d mmi Maṛqus ițsellim fell-awen.
13She that is elected with [you] in Babylon salutes you, and Marcus my son.
14Msalamet wway gar-awen am atmaten ; talwit a d-ters fell-awen kunwi yumnen s Lmasiḥ.
14Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all who [are] in Christ.
