1And after these things, having left Athens, he came to Corinth;
2Yufa dinna yiwen wergaz n wat Isṛail, isem-is Akilas, laṣel-is n tmurt n Tqenṭert ; yewweḍ-ed deg ussan-nni kan si tmurt n Selyan nețța ț-țmeṭṭut-is Brisila, axaṭer Qayṣer Kludyus yumeṛ i wat Isṛail meṛṛa ad ffɣen si temdint n Ṛuma.
2and finding a certain Jew by name Aquila, of Pontus by race, just come from Italy, and Priscilla his wife, (because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome,) came to them,
3Imi Brisila d Akilas xeddmen iqiḍunen am Bulus, yeqqim ɣuṛ-sen xeddmen s tdukli.
3and because they were of the same trade abode with them, and wrought. For they were tent-makers by trade.
4Mkul ass n westeɛfu, Bulus ițmeslay di lǧameɛ, ițbecciṛ i wat Isṛail akk-d iyunaniyen ttabaɛen ddin n wat Isṛail, iwakken ad amnen.
4And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded Jews and Greeks.
5Mi d-usan Silas d Timuti si tmurt n Masidunya, Bulus yuɣal ițțelhay kan d ubecceṛ n wawal n Ṛebbi, ițbeggin ed i wat Isṛail belli d Ɛisa i d Lmasiḥ.
5And when both Silas and Timotheus came down from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in respect of the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
6Imi i t-xulfen yerna regmen-t, Bulus yezwi icuḍaḍ-is, yenna-yasen : Cfut ur teqbilem ara leslak-agi, ddnub i yirawen-nwen ! Nekk ayen i yi-d-yewwi lḥal xedmeɣ-t. Ihi sya d asawen, ad ṛuḥeɣ ɣer wat leǧnas ur nelli ara seg warraw n wat Isṛail.
6But as they opposed and spoke injuriously, he shook his clothes, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own head: *I* [am] pure; from henceforth I will go to the nations.
7Mi d-iffeɣ syenna, ikcem ɣer wexxam n Tit Justus, i gellan d amdan iḍuɛen Sidi Ṛebbi ; axxam-is yezga-d tama n lǧameɛ n wat Isṛail.
7And departing thence he came to the house of a certain [man], by name Justus, who worshipped God, whose house adjoined the synagogue.
8Krisbus, ameqqran n lǧameɛ yumen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ nețța d wat wexxam-is meṛṛa ; aṭas n wat kurintus daɣen i gumnen mi slan s wayen i d-yenna Bulus, dɣa țwaɣeḍsen deg waman.
8But Crispus the ruler of the synagogue believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed, and were baptised.
9Yiwen n yiḍ, Sidi Ṛebbi iweḥḥa yas-ed di targit i Bulus yenna-yas-d : Ur țțaggad ara, kemmel ehdeṛ ur țsusum ara !
9And the Lord said by vision in [the] night to Paul, Fear not, but speak and be not silent;
10Axaṭer aqli-n yid-ek ! Yiwen ur izmir ad issers afus-is fell-ak iwakken a k-yexdem cceṛ, axaṭer aṭas i gellan d ayla-w di temdint-agi.
10because *I* am with thee, and no one shall set upon thee to injure thee; because I have much people in this city.
11Bulus yeqqim aseggas d sețța wagguren ger wat kurintus, isselmad asen awal n Sidi Ṛebbi.
11And he remained [there] a year and six months, teaching among them the word of God.
12Di lweqt-nni i deg yella Galyun d lḥakem ɣef tmurt n Lakaya, at Isṛail msefhamen, ddukklen ɣef Bulus, wwin-t ɣer wexxam n ccṛeɛ, nnan :
12But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one consent rose against Paul and led him to the judgment-seat,
13Argaz-agi issamaṛ lɣaci ad ɛebden Ṛebbi s webrid ixulfen ccariɛa.
13saying, This [man] persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.
14Mi gekker Bulus ad ihdeṛ, inṭeq Galyun yenna i wat Isṛail : Lemmer d lbaṭel neɣ d ayen n diri i gexdem, zemreɣ a wen ḥesseɣ am akken yella di lqanun ay at Isṛail ;
14But as Paul was going to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, If indeed it was some wrong or wicked criminality, O Jews, of reason I should have borne with you;
15meɛna imi d amjadel ɣef yimeslayen, ɣef yismawen akk-d ccariɛa n Musa, ayagi d ccɣel-nwen ! Ur bɣiɣ ara ad ḥekmeɣ ɣef wannect-a.
15but if it be questions about words, and names, and the law that ye have, see to it yourselves; [for] *I* do not intend to be judge of these things.
16Imiren issufeɣ-iten-id syenna.
16And he drove them from the judgment-seat.
17Dɣa lɣaci mmɣen ɣef Sustin, ameqqran n lǧameɛ n wat Isṛail, ewten-t zdat wexxam n ccṛeɛ , Galyun ur s-tewqiɛ ara lmeɛna.
17And having all laid hold on Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue, they beat him before the judgment-seat. And Gallio troubled himself about none of these things.
18Bulus yerna aṭas n wussan di temdint n Kurintus ; syenna yeǧǧa atmaten di lehna, yerkeb lbabuṛ ɣer tmurt n Surya ; Brisila d Akilas ddan yid-es. Uqbel ad iṛuḥ si lmeṛṣa n temdint n Senkriya, iseṭṭel aqeṛṛuy-is axaṭer yefka lemɛahda i Sidi Ṛebbi.
18And Paul, having yet stayed [there] many days, took leave of the brethren and sailed thence to Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila, having shorn his head in Cenchrea, for he had a vow;
19Mi wwḍen ɣer temdint n Ifasus, mfaṛaqen : Bulus yeǧǧa iṛfiqen-is Akilas d Brisila, ma d nețța ikcem ɣer lǧameɛ n wat Isṛail, ițmeslay yid-sen.
19and he arrived at Ephesus, and left them there. But entering himself into the synagogue he reasoned with the Jews.
20Ḥellelen-t ad yernu kra wussan yid-sen, lameɛna ur yeqbil ara.
20And when they asked him that he would remain for a longer time [with them] he did not accede,
21Yenna-yasen : A d-uɣaleɣ ɣuṛ-wen ma yebɣa Ṛebbi.
21but bade them farewell, saying, [I must by all means keep the coming feast at Jerusalem]; I will return to you again, if God will: and he sailed away from Ephesus.
22Yerkeb di lbabuṛ si temdint n Ifasus ɣer temdint n Qiṣarya ; syenna iṛuḥ a d-iẓer tajmaɛt n watmaten yellan di temdint n Lquds ; imiren iṣubb ɣer temdint n Antyuc.
22And landing at Caesarea, and having gone up and saluted the assembly, he went down to Antioch.
23Mi gesɛedda kra n wussan di temdint n Antyuc, yuɣal yeṭṭef abrid ɣer tmura n Galasya d Frijya, di mkul amkan yesseǧhad inelmaden di Liman.
23And having stayed [there] some time, he went forth, passing in order through the country of Galatia and Phrygia, establishing all the disciples.
24Di lweqt-nni, yiwen wergaz n wat Isṛail yețțusemman Abulus, ilulen di temdint n Skandriya yellan di tmurt n Maṣeṛ, yusa-d ɣer temdint n Ifasus ; yezweṛ deg wawal yerna yessen mliḥ tira iqedsen.
24But a certain Jew, Apollos by name, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, who was mighty in the scriptures, arrived at Ephesus.
25Argaz-agi yelmed abrid n Sidi Ṛebbi, iǧhed di liman, ițbecciṛ, yesselmad s teḥqiq ayen i d-qqaṛent tira iqedsen ɣef Ɛisa Lmasiḥ , ɣas akken d aɣḍas n Yeḥya kan i gessen.
25He was instructed in the way of the Lord, and being fervent in his spirit, he spoke and taught exactly the things concerning Jesus, knowing only the baptism of John.
26Yebda ițmeslay ɛinani di lǧameɛ n wat Isṛail. Akilas d Brisila mi s-slan wwin-t yid-sen, sfehmen-as tideț n webrid n Sidi Ṛebbi akken tella.
26And *he* began to speak boldly in the synagogue. And Aquila and Priscilla, having heard him, took him to [them] and unfolded to him the way of God more exactly.
27Imi i gebɣa Abulus ad iɛeddi ɣer tmurt n Akaya, atmaten kksen-as akukru, uran tabṛaț i inelmaden n temdint n Kurintus iwakken ad stṛeḥben yis. Mi gewweḍ ɣer dinna, s ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi iɛawen aṭas widak yumnen ;
27And when he purposed to go into Achaia, the brethren wrote to the disciples engaging them to receive him, who, being come, contributed much to those who believed through grace.
28axaṭer yețṛuẓu ɛinani awal n lecyux n wat Isṛail zdat lɣaci meṛṛa ; yerna ițbeggin-ed s tira iqedsen belli d Ɛisa i d Lmasiḥ.
28For he with great force convinced the Jews publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
