1Mi ɛeddan ṛbeɛṭac iseggasen, ɛawdeɣ uliɣ ɣer temdint n Lquds akk-d Barnabas, wwiɣ daɣen yid-i gma-tneɣ Tit.
1Then after a lapse of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with [me];
2Uliɣ, axaṭer d Sidi Ṛebbi i yi-t-id yumṛen deg uweḥḥi. Sfehmeɣ-asen lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i țbecciṛeɣ ger wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail ; mliɣ-asen-t weḥḥed-sen i yimeqqranen n tejmaɛt iwakken ayen xedmeɣ armi d ass-a ur ițṛuḥ ara baṭel.
2and I went up according to revelation, and I laid before them the glad tidings which I preach among the nations, but privately to those conspicuous [among them], lest in any way I run or had run in vain;
3Tit, aṛfiq-iw yellan d ayunani, yiwen ur iḥettem fell-as ad iḍheṛ,
3(but neither was Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, compelled to be circumcised;)
4ɣas akken llan yir watmaten i d-ikecmen gar-aneɣ s tuffra, bɣan a t-ḥeṛsen ad iḍheṛ. Kecmen-d gar-aneɣ iwakken ad walin tilelli i nesɛa di tikli-nneɣ akk-d Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, bɣan a ɣ-rren d aklan-nsen.
4and [it was] on account of the false brethren brought in surreptitiously, who came in surreptitiously to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;
5Ula d yiwet n tikkelt ur nekni zdat-sen, iwakken tideț yellan di lexbaṛ n lxiṛ aț-țeqqim gar-awen.
5to whom we yielded in subjection not even for an hour, that the truth of the glad tidings might remain with you.
6Ma d wid yesɛan lqima gar-awen, [ ur iyi-tewqiɛ ara lmeɛna d acu i llan zik, axaṭer Sidi Ṛebbi ur ixeddem ara lxilaf ger yemdanen ] ; wid-nni yesɛan lqima ur ḥețțmen ara fell-i ad xedmeɣ ayen nniḍen.
6But from those who were conspicuous as being somewhat -- whatsoever they were, it makes no difference to me: God does not accept man's person; for to me those who were conspicuous communicated nothing;
7Lameɛna walan belli Sidi Ṛebbi iwekkel-iyi iwakken ad beccṛeɣ lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail, am akken i gceggeɛ Buṭrus ad ibecceṛ lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i wat Isṛail.
7but, on the contrary, seeing that the glad tidings of the uncircumcision were confided to me, even as to Peter that of the circumcision,
8Axaṭer, Sidi Ṛebbi i gerran Buṭrus d ṛṛasul n wid yellan n wat Isṛail, yerra-yi ula d nekk d ṛṛasul n wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail.
8(for he that wrought in Peter for [the] apostleship of the circumcision wrought also in me towards the Gentiles,)
9Yeɛqub, Buṭrus akk-d Yuḥenna yețwaḥesben d imeqqranen n tejmaɛt, setɛeṛfen belli d Sidi Ṛebbi i yi-d ifkan ccɣel-agi, dɣa selmen fell-aneɣ afus deg ufus iwakken a ɣ-d-beggnen belli qeblen ayagi. Imiren nemsefham : nutni ad ṛuḥen ad beccṛen i wat Isṛail, ma d nekk akk-d Barnabas, a nṛuḥ a nbecceṛ i wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail ;
9and recognising the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were conspicuous as being pillars, gave to me and Barnabas [the] right hands of fellowship, that *we* [should go] to the nations, and *they* to the circumcision;
10acu kan, weṣṣan-aɣ iwakken ur ntețțu ara igellilen n tejmuyaɛ-nsen yellan di temdint n Lquds, ayagi ur stehzaɣ ara deg-s, xedmeɣ-t seg-wul.
10only that we should remember the poor, which same thing also I was diligent to do.
11Asmi i d-yusa Buṭrus ɣer temdint n Antyuc, qubleɣ-t ɣer wudem-is zdat lɣaci, axaṭer yeɣleḍ.
11But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to [the] face, because he was to be condemned:
12Uqbel a d-asen kra n yemdanen i d-iceggeɛ Yeɛqub, yella itețț akk-d watmaten ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail, lameɛna akken kan i d-wwḍen, iḥbes lmakla yid-sen iwexxeṛ fell-asen, axaṭer yuggad wid iṭṭfen di lɛaddat n wat Isṛail.
12for before that certain came from James, he ate with [those of] the nations; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those of [the] circumcision;
13Atmaten nniḍen n wat Isṛail xedmen am nețța, wexxṛen ula d nutni, yuɣal armi ula d Barnabas iɛuned-iten.
13and the rest of the Jews also played the same dissembling part with him; so that even Barnabas was carried away too by their dissimulation.
14Mi walaɣ ur teddun ara akken ilaq am akken i d-yeqqaṛ lexbaṛ n lxiṛ , nniɣ i Buṭrus zdat lɣaci meṛṛa : ma yella kečč yellan seg wat Isṛail tețɛiceḍ am wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail, amek ara tḥeṛṣeḍ wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail ad ɛicen am wat Isṛail ?
14But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If *thou*, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?
15Nukni ur nelli ara d imednuben am leǧnas nniḍen, laṣel-nneɣ seg wat Isṛail.
15We, Jews by nature, and not sinners of [the] nations,
16Lameɛna neẓra belli amdan yețțuɣal d aḥeqqi zdat Sidi Ṛebbi s liman-ines di Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, mačči imi gxeddem ayen i d-teqqaṛ ccariɛa ; daymi ula d nukni numen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, iwakken a nuɣal d iḥeqqiyen zdat Sidi Ṛebbi s liman di Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, mačči imi nxeddem ayen i d-teqqaṛ ccariɛa n Musa. Axaṭer ula d yiwen ur izmir ad yuɣal d aḥeqqi zdat Ṛebbi imi i gettabaɛ ccariɛa n Musa.
16but knowing that a man is not justified on the principle of works of law [nor] but by the faith of Jesus Christ, *we* also have believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified on the principle of [the] faith of Christ; and not of works of law; because on the principle of works of law no flesh shall be justified.
17Nukni nețnadi a nuɣal d iḥeqqiyen s liman di Lmasiḥ ; ma nufa iman-nneɣ d imednuben ula d nukni am leǧnas nniḍen, eɛni d Lmasiḥ i ɣ-ițțawin ɣer ddnub ? Xaṭi !
17Now if in seeking to be justified in Christ we also have been found sinners, then [is] Christ minister of sin? Far be the thought.
18Axaṭer ma uɣaleɣ ɣer ccariɛa nni i ǧǧiɣ, ihi rriɣ iman-iw d amɛaṣi ;
18For if the things I have thrown down, these I build again, I constitute myself a transgressor.
19ɣef wayen yeɛnan ccariɛa aql-iyi mmuteɣ, yerna d nețțat i yi-wwin ɣer lmut ; ayagi yedṛa-d iwakken ad sɛuɣ tudert di Sidi Ṛebbi ; aql-iyi țwasemmṛeɣ ɣef wumidag akk-d Lmasiḥ.
19For *I*, through law, have died to law, that I may live to God.
20Tura mačči d nekk i gețțidiren, d Lmasiḥ i gețțidiren deg-i ; axaṭer tudert-iw di ddunit, țɛiceɣ-ț s liman di Mmi-s n Sidi Ṛebbi i yi-ḥemmlen yerna isebbel iman-is fell-i.
20I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, *I*, but Christ lives in me; but [in] that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the [faith] of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.
21Ur sseɣlayeɣ ara lqima n ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi, axaṭer ma nezmer a nuɣal d iḥeqqiyen zdat Ṛebbi s ccariɛa n Musa, ihi Lmasiḥ yemmut ɣef wulac !
21I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness [is] by law, then Christ has died for nothing.
