12

1Sețța wussan uqbel lɛid n Tfaska, Sidna Ɛisa iṛuḥ ɣer Bitani, taddart n Laɛẓar win akken i d-yesseḥya si lmut.
1Jesus therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where was the dead [man] Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from among [the] dead.
2At wexxam n Laɛẓar heggan-as imensi. Marṭa tqeddec, Laɛẓar yeqqim ɣer imensi akk-d Sidna Ɛisa.
2There therefore they made him a supper, and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those at table with him.
3Meryem teddem-ed azgen n litra n leɛṭeṛ yeṣfan ɣlayen nezzeh, tesmar-it ɣef yiḍaṛṛen n Sidna Ɛisa, tesfeḍ-iten s ucebbub-is ; axxam meṛṛa yeččuṛ d rriḥa n leɛṭeṛ-nni.
3Mary therefore, having taken a pound of ointment of pure nard of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4Yudas n Qeṛyut, yiwen seg inelmaden-is, win akken ara t-ixedɛen inṭeq-ed yenna :
4One of his disciples therefore, Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote, who was about to deliver him up, says,
5Acuɣeṛ ur nezzenz ara leɛṭeṛ agi ? Lemmer nezzenz-it tili yewwi-d azal n telt meyya twiztin n lfeṭṭa ara nefṛeq i igellilen.
5Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?
6Mi d-yenna annect-agi mačči d igellilen i t-iɣaḍen meɛna yebɣa ad yawi idrimen-nni, axaṭer d amakar i gella. D nețța i d amdebbeṛ ɣef yidrimen-nsen, yețțaker-iten.
6But he said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief and had the bag, and carried what was put into [it].
7Dɣa Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : Anfet-as ! Leɛṭeṛ-agi thegga-t i wass n temḍelt-iw.
7Jesus therefore said, Suffer her to have kept this for the day of my preparation for burial;
8Igellilen a ten-tesɛum daymen gar-awen ! Ma d nekk, ur iyi-tseɛɛum ara daymen yid-wen.
8for ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.
9Yuɣ lḥal lɣaci slan belli Sidna Ɛisa di taddart n Bitanya i gella. Dɣa ț-țirebbaɛ i d-iṛuḥen ɣuṛ-es, mačči kan iwakken a t-ẓren nețța, meɛna bɣan ad ẓren Laɛẓar i d yesseḥya si lmut.
9A great crowd therefore of the Jews knew that he was there; and they came, not because of Jesus only, but also that they might see Lazarus whom he raised from among [the] dead.
10?ef wannect-a, lmuqedmin imeqqranen qesden ad nɣen ula d Laɛẓar.
10But the chief priests took counsel that they might kill Lazarus also,
11Axaṭer ɣef ddemma-ines aṭas n lɣaci i sen iwexxṛen uɣalen umnen s Sidna Ɛisa.
11because many of the Jews went away on his account and believed on Jesus.
12Azekka-nni, aṭas n lɣaci i d yusan ad ɛeggden di temdint n Lquds. Slan belli Sidna Ɛisa iteddu-d ɣer temdint.
12On the morrow a great crowd who came to the feast, having heard that Jesus is coming into Jerusalem,
13Kksen-d tiseḍwa ( ticiṭwin ) n tezdayt, ṛuḥen a t-mmagren, țeddun țɛeggiḍen : ?usana ! Yețțubarek win i d-yusan s yisem n Sidi Ṛebbi ! Yețțubarek ugellid n wat Isṛail !
13took branches of palms and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed [is] he that comes in the name of [the] Lord, the King of Israel.
14Sidna Ɛisa yufa yiwen weɣyul d amecṭuḥ, yerkeb fell-as akken yura di tira iqedsen :
14And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written,
15 Ur țțaggad a tamdint n Siyun, atan ugellid-im yusa-d, irkeb-ed ɣef weɣyul amecṭuḥ.
15Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
16Imiren inelmaden is ur fhimen ara ayen ideṛṛun, lameɛna asmi i gekcem Sidna Ɛisa di tamanegt-is, mmektan-d belli ayen akk yuran fell-as yedṛa yerna yețwakemmel.
16[Now] his disciples knew not these things at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.
17Wid akk i gḥedṛen akk-d Sidna Ɛisa asmi i gessawel i Laɛẓar a d-iffeɣ seg u?ekka mi i t-id-yesseḥya si lmut, cehden-d ɣef wayen ẓran ;
17The crowd therefore that was with him bore witness because he had called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from among [the] dead.
18ɣef wannect-agi aṭas n lɣaci i d-yusan ɣuṛ-es imi slan s lbeṛhan i gexdem.
18Therefore also the crowd met him because they had heard that he had done this sign.
19Imi walan akkenni, ifariziyen nnan wway gar-asen : Twalam tura : ur nezmir i wacemma, lɣaci akk ttabaɛen-t !
19The Pharisees therefore said to one another, Ye see that ye profit nothing: behold, the world is gone after him.
20Ger widak-nni i d-yusan ad ɛeggden di temdint n Lquds, llan kra n iyunaniyen.
20And there were certain Greeks among those who came up that they might worship in the feast;
21Iyunaniyen-agi ṛuḥen ɣer Filibus ajlili n taddart n Bitsayda, nnan-as : Nebɣa a nẓer Sidna Ɛisa !
21these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him saying, Sir, we desire to see Jesus.
22Filibus ixebbeṛ Andriyus, dɣa ddukklen i sin a s-inin i Sidna Ɛisa.
22Philip comes and tells Andrew, [and again] Andrew comes and Philip, and they tell Jesus.
23Nețța yerra-yasen-d : Yewweḍ-ed lweqt i Mmi-s n bunadem ad ikcem di tmanegt-is.
23But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified.
24S tideț, nniɣ-awen : aɛeqqa n yired yeɣlin deg wakal m'ur yemmut ara ad iqqim weḥd-es, lameɛna ma yemmut ad yefti, a d-yefk aṭas n iɛeqqayen.
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falling into the ground die, it abides alone; but if it die, it bears much fruit.
25Win yețḥadaren ɣef tudert-is ad as-tṛuḥ, ma d win ur nețḥebbiṛ ara fell-as di ddunit-agi a ț-yaf i tudert n dayem.
25He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.
26Win yebɣan ad iqdec fell-i, a yi-d-yetbeɛ. Anda bɣuɣ iliɣ, aqeddac-iw ad yili yid-i. Win iqeddcen fell-i, Ṛebbi a t-iɛuzz.
26If any one serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall be *my* servant. [And] if any one serve me, him shall the Father honour.
27Atan tura ul-iw yetḥeyyeṛ ; d acu ara d-iniɣ ? A Baba sellek-iyi si teswiɛt-agi ? Nekk ẓriɣ ɣef teswiɛt agi i d-usiɣ iwakken a ț-qableɣ !
27Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But on account of this have I come to this hour.
28A Baba, sbeggen-ed tamanegt-ik ! Dɣa tenṭeq-ed yiwet n taɣect seg igenni, tenna-d : Sbeggneɣ-d yakan tamanegt-iw yerna mazal a ț-id-sbeggneɣ.
28Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, I both have glorified and will glorify [it] again.
29Wid yuɣ lḥal dinna slan i ṣṣut nni, ɣilen d ṛɛud. Wiyaḍ qqaṛen d lmalayekkat i s-d yemmeslayen.
29The crowd therefore, which stood [there] and heard [it], said that it had thundered. Others said, An angel has spoken to him.
30Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Mačči ɣuṛ-i i d-tenṭeq taɣect agi, tenṭeq-ed ɣuṛ-wen.
30Jesus answered and said, Not on my account has this voice come, but on yours.
31Tura ara yedṛu lḥisab n ddunit. Tura ara yețwaqceɛ umesbaṭli n ddunit-a.
31Now is [the] judgment of this world; now shall the prince of this world be cast out:
32Ma d nekk m'ara țwarefdeɣ sennig lqaɛa, a d-awiɣ imdanen meṛṛa ɣuṛ-i.
32and I, if I be lifted up out of the earth, will draw all to me.
33S imeslayen-agi, Sidna Ɛisa yebɣa a d-isbeggen amek ara yemmet.
33But this he said signifying by what death he was about to die.
34Lɣaci nnan-as : Ccariɛa tenna-d belli Lmasiḥ ad yidir i dayem. Amek i d-tenniḍ « Mmi-s n bunadem ilaq ad yețwarfed sennig lqaɛa » ? Ini-yaɣ-d ihi anwa i d Mmi-s n bunadem ?
34The crowd answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abides for ever; and how sayest thou that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who *is* this, the Son of man?
35Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Tafat mazal-iț gar-awen i kra n lweqt kan, lḥut skud tella uqbel a kkun-iṭṭef ṭṭlam, axaṭer win ileḥḥun di ṭṭlam ur yeẓri ara anda iteddu.
35Jesus therefore said to them, Yet a little while is the light amongst you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness may not overtake you. And he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
36Skud tesɛam tafat, amnet yis akken aț-țuɣalem d arraw n tafat. Mi d-yenna imeslayen-agi, Sidna Ɛisa iḍeṛṛef iman-is anda ulac lɣaci.
36While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may become sons of light. Jesus said these things, and going away hid himself from them.
37?as akken aṭas n lbeṛhanat i gexdem Sidna Ɛisa zdat-sen, nutni ugin ad amnen.
37But though he had done so many signs before them, they believed not on him,
38S wakka i gețwakemmel wayen i d-yenna nnbi Iceɛya : A Ṛebbi, anwa i gumnen s wayen i d-nbecceṛ, iwumi i d-tețwabeggen tezmert-ik ?
38that the word of the prophet Esaias which he said might be fulfilled, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39Acuɣeṛ ugin ad amnen ? D nnbi Iceɛya i d-yennan daɣen :
39On this account they could not believe, because Esaias said again,
40 Ṛebbi yesderɣel-iten , yesɣeṛ ulawen-nsen, daymi allen-nsen ur țwalint ara, lefhama-nsen teqfel , ugin a d-uɣalen ɣer webrid, a kken a ten-sseḥluɣ.
40He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they may not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart and be converted, and I should heal them.
41Nnbi Iceɛya yenna-d ayagi ɣef Sidna Ɛisa mi gwala tamanegt-is.
41These things said Esaias because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
42Ula seg imeqqranen n wat Isṛail aṭas i gumnen yis ; lameɛna ɣef ddemma n ifariziyen, ur bɣin ara a d-sbeggnen liman-nsen, axaṭer uggaden a ten-sṭixxṛen si lǧameɛ.
42Although indeed from among the rulers also many believed on him, but on account of the Pharisees did not confess [him], that they might not be put out of the synagogue:
43ḥemmlen ad sɛun ccan ɣer yemdanen wala ɣer Ṛebbi.
43for they loved glory from men rather than glory from God.
44Sidna Ɛisa yessaɛli taɣect-is yenna : Win yesɛan laman deg-i mačči yis-i kan i gumen, meɛna yumen ula s win i yi-d-iceggɛen.
44But Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me;
45Win i yi iwalan, iwala win i yi-d-iceggɛen.
45and he that beholds me, beholds him that sent me.
46Nekk usiɣ-ed ț-țafat ɣer ddunit, kra n win yumnen yis-i, ur yețɣimi ara di ṭṭlam.
46I am come into the world [as] light, that every one that believes on me may not abide in darkness;
47Win yeslan i wawal-iw ur nexdim ara ayen i d-nniɣ mačči d nekk ara t-iḥasben, axaṭer ur d-usiɣ ara akken ad ḥasbeɣ ddunit, meɛna usiɣ-ed a ț-sellkeɣ.
47and if any one hear my words and do not keep [them], I judge him not, for I am not come that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.
48Kra n win i yi-ḥeqṛen ur neḥsib ara imeslayen-iw, ițțuḥaseb yakan : d awal-agi i d-nniɣ ara t-iḥasben ass aneggaru.
48He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.
49Imeslayen-agi mačči s ɣuṛ-i i d-kkan : Baba i yi-d-iceggɛen, d nețța i yi-d-yefkan ayen i glaqen a t-id-iniɣ d wayen ara slemdeɣ.
49For I have not spoken from myself, but the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what I should say and what I should speak;
50Daymi nniɣ-awen : aselmed ɣef i yi-d-iweṣṣa Baba ț-țudert n dayem. Nekk sselmadeɣ kan ayen i yi-d-yenna Baba.
50and I know that his commandment is life eternal. What therefore I speak, as the Father has said to me, so I speak.
