1Nniɣ-awen-d akk annect-agi iwakken ur tɣellim ara.
1These things I have spoken unto you that ye may not be offended.
2Axaṭer, a kkun-stixṛen si lǧwameɛ, yerna a d-yas lweqt anda wid ara kkun-inɣen ad ɣilen d asfel i fkan i Ṛebbi.
2They shall put you out of the synagogues; but the hour is coming that every one who kills you will think to render service to God;
3Ad ssiwḍen ɣer wannect-agi imi ur iyi-ssinen nekk, ur ssinen Baba.
3and these things they will do because they have not known the Father nor me.
4Nniɣ-awen-d akk ayagi tura iwakken asm'ara ssiwḍen ɣer wannect-agi, a d-mektim belli nniɣ-awen-t-id uqbel a d-yedṛu. Ur a wen-t-id-nniɣ ara si tazwara axaṭer mazal-iyi lliɣ yid-wen.
4But I have spoken these things to you, that when their hour shall have come, ye may remember them, that I have said [them] unto you. But I did not say these things unto you from [the] beginning, because I was with you.
5Tura ad ṛuḥeɣ ɣer win i yi-d iceggɛen ; atan yiwen deg-wen ur iyi-d-isteqsa ɣer wanda ara ṛuḥeɣ.
5But now I go to him that has sent me, and none of you demands of me, Where goest thou?
6Imi i wen-d-nniɣ akka, leḥzen yeččuṛ ulawen-nwen.
6But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7A wen-iniɣ tideț, yelha-yawen ma ṛuḥeɣ axaṭer m'ur ṛuḥeɣ ara, amɛiwen ur d-yețțas ara ɣuṛ-wen, meɛna ma ṛuḥeɣ a wen t-id-ceggɛeɣ.
7But I say the truth to you, It is profitable for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go I will send him to you.
8M'ara d-yas, a d-isbeggen i yemdanen belli ɣelṭen ɣef wayen yeɛnan ddnub, lḥeqq, d lḥisab n Ṛebbi.
8And having come, he will bring demonstration to the world, of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9?elṭen ɣef wayen yeɛnan ddnub, imi ugin ad amnen yis-i ;
9of sin, because they do not believe on me;
10ɣef wayen yellan d lḥeqq imi tedduɣ ɣer Baba yerna ur tețțuɣalem ara a yi-twalim ;
10of righteousness, because I go away to [my] Father, and ye behold me no longer;
11ɣelṭen ɣef wayen yeɛnan lḥisab n Ṛebbi, imi amesbaṭli n ddunit-agi yețțuḥaseb yakan.
11of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
12Aṭas n lewṣayat i mazal a wen tent-id-iniɣ, lameɛna di teswiɛt-agi ur sent-tezmirem ara.
12I have yet many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13Asm'ara d-yas Ṛṛuḥ n tideț, a kkun-iseddu di tideț akken tella, ayen ara wen-d-yini mačči s ɣuṛ-es i d-yekka meɛna a d-immeslay ɣef wayen akk i gesla yerna a kkun id-ixebbeṛ ɣef wayen akk ara yedṛun ɣer zdat.
13But when *he* is come, the Spirit of truth, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but whatsoever he shall hear he shall speak; and he will announce to you what is coming.
14A d-isbeggen tamanegt-iw axaṭer s ɣuṛ-i ara d-yawi wayen akk ara wen-d-yini.
14He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine and shall announce [it] to you.
15Ayla n Baba d ayla-w ula d nekk. Daymi i wen-d-nniɣ s ɣuṛ-i ara d-yawi wayen akk ara wen-d-yini.
15All things that the Father has are mine; on account of this I have said that he receives of mine and shall announce [it] to you.
16Di kra n lweqt ur iyi-tețwalim ara, kra n lweqt daɣen aț-țuɣalem a yi-twalim.
16A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me, [because I go away to the Father].
17Dɣa kra seg inelmaden-is țmesteqsayen, qqaṛen : D acu i gebɣa a ɣ-d-yini mi i d-yeqqaṛ : « Kra n lweqt ur iyi tețwalim ara, kra n lweqt daɣen aț-țuɣalem a yi-twalim », neɣ mi ɣ-d yenna : «Ad ṛuḥeɣ ɣer Baba»?
17[Some] of his disciples therefore said to one another, What is this he says to us, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me, and, Because I go away to the Father?
18Nnan daɣen : D acu i d lmeɛna n «Kra n tallit kan» i ɣef i ɣ-d-yemmeslay ? Ur nefhim ara d acu i gebɣa a d-yini !
18They said therefore, What is this which he says [of] the little while? We do not know [of] what he speaks.
19Sidna Ɛisa yefhem belli bɣan a t-steqsin, dɣa yenna-yasen : Tețmesteqsayem ɣef wayen i bɣiɣ a d-iniɣ s imeslayen-agi : « Tallit kan i mazal ur yi-tețwalim ara, tallit daɣen a yi-twalim » ;
19Jesus knew therefore that they desired to demand of him, and said to them, Do ye inquire of this among yourselves that I said, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me?
20nniɣ-awen s tideț : kunwi aț-țețrum, aț-țmeǧdem, ma d imdanen n ddunit-a ad feṛḥen aṭas. Kunwi aț-țeṛwum lqeṛḥ meɛna lqeṛḥ-nwen ad yuɣal d lfeṛḥ.
20Verily, verily, I say to you, that ye shall weep and lament, ye, but the world shall rejoice; and ye will be grieved, but your grief shall be turned to joy.
21M'ara d-tarew tmeṭṭut tețțenɛețțab aṭas di teswiɛt-nni, lameɛna akken kan ara twali llufan-is ilul-ed tețțu lqeṛḥ-is imi lfeṛḥ-is d ameqqran.
21A woman, when she gives birth to a child, has grief because her hour has come; but when the child is born, she no longer remembers the trouble, on account of the joy that a man has been born into the world.
22Kunwi daɣen aql-ikkun tețwaqeṛḥem tura meɛna a d-uɣaleɣ a kkun-zṛeɣ, imiren ulawen-nwen ad ččaṛen d lfeṛḥ ; lfeṛḥ-agi yiwen ur izmir a wen t-yekkes.
22And ye now therefore have grief; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one takes from you.
23M'ara d-yas wass-nni ur tețțuɣalem ara a yi-testeqsim. A wen iniɣ s tideț : ayen akk ara tessutrem i Baba s yisem-iw a wen-t-id-yeqbel.
23And in that day ye shall demand nothing of me: verily, verily, I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you.
24Ar tura ur tessutrem acemma s yisem-iw. Ssutret a wen-d-yețțunefk akken lfeṛḥ-nwen ad yețwakemmel.
24Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25Ayen akk i wen-d-nniɣ, nniɣ awen-t-id s lemtul. A d-yas lweqt ur a wen-d-țmeslayeɣ ara akka, a wend hedṛeɣ ɛinani ɣef wayen yeɛnan Baba.
25These things I have spoken to you in allegories; the hour is coming that I will no longer speak to you in allegories, but will declare to you openly concerning the Father.
26Ass-nni aț-țdeɛɛum ɣer Baba s yisem-iw, yerna ur wen-d-qqaṛeɣ ara belli ad dɛuɣ ɣer Baba fell-awen.
26In that day ye shall ask in my name; and I say not to you that I will demand of the Father for you,
27Axaṭer Baba iḥemmel-ikkun imi iyi-tḥemmlem, yerna tumnem belli s ɣuṛ-es i d-kkiɣ.
27for the Father himself has affection for you, because ye have had affection for me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28?-țideț usiɣ-ed s ɣuṛ Baba, usiɣ-ed ɣer ddunit, ma ț-țura ad ǧǧeɣ ddunit ad uɣaleɣ ɣer Baba.
28I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
29Inelmaden-is nnan-as : Atan tura tețmeslayeḍ-aɣ-d ɛinani mačči s lemtul.
29His disciples say to him, Lo, now thou speakest openly and utterest no allegory.
30Tura neẓra belli tessneḍ kullec imi uqbel a d-nehdeṛ teẓriḍ ɣef wacu i nebɣa a k-nesteqsi. ?ef wayagi i numen belli s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi i d-tusiḍ.
30Now we know that thou knowest all things, and hast not need that any one should demand of thee. By this we believe that thou art come from God.
31Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yasen : Tura tumnem !
31Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
32Atan iteddu-d lweqt yerna yewweḍ-ed, aț țemfaṛaqem ɣer mkul tama a yi teǧǧem iman-iw. Lameɛna ur lliɣ ara weḥd-i axaṭer Baba yella yid-i.
32Behold, [the] hour is coming, and has come, that ye shall be scattered, each to his own, and shall leave me alone; and [yet] I am not alone, for the Father is with me.
33Ilaq-iyi a wen-d-iniɣ daɣen annect-agi akken aț-țafem deg-i talwit. Aț-țɛeddim si teswiɛin n ddiq di ddunit, aț-țneɛtabem meɛna ṣebṛet ! Nekk ɣelbeɣ ddunit.
33These things have I spoken to you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good courage: I have overcome the world.
