1Sidna Ɛisa iɛedda si temdint n Yiriku.
1And he entered and passed through Jericho.
2Yella dinna yiwen umeṛkanti isem-is Zaci, d ameqqran n imekkasen n ddewla.
2And behold, [there was] a man by name called Zacchaeus, and he was chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich.
3Yebɣa ad iẓer anwa i d Sidna Ɛisa lameɛna ur yezmir ara a t-iwali imi aṭas lɣaci i gellan, yerna nețța d awezlan.
3And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature.
4Yuzzel ɣer zdat, yuli ɣef ttejṛa iwakken a t-iwali m'ara d-iɛeddi syenna.
4And running on before, he got up into a sycamore that he might see him, for he was going to pass that [way].
5Mi gewweḍ Sidna Ɛisa ɣer wemkan-nni, yerfed allen-is yenna i Zaci : A Zaci, ɣiwel ers-ed syenna, ɣuṛ-ek ara nseɣ ass-agi.
5And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house.
6Zaci yers-ed s lemɣawla ad yesteṛḥeb s Sidna Ɛisa.
6And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy.
7Lɣaci mi walan ayagi smermugen wway gar asen qqaṛen : « ɣer yiwen umekkas (axeddaɛ) am wagi ara yens ! »
7And all murmured when they saw [it], saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man.
8Zaci iqeṛṛeb-ed ɣer Sidna Ɛisa, yenna-yas : A Sidi, atan ad fkeɣ i igellilen azgen n wayen sɛiɣ, yerna ma ḍelmeɣ yiwen a s-rreɣ ṛebɛa imuren.
8But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold.
9Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : Ass-agi leslak ikcem-ed axxam agi, imi argaz-agi ula d nețța d mmi-s n Ibṛahim.
9And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
10Axaṭer Mmi-s n bunadem yusa-d ad inadi ɣef wid iḍaɛen, a ten-isellek.
10for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.
11Sidna Ɛisa yerna-d yiwen n lemtel i wid i s ismeḥsisen, axaṭer qṛib ad awḍen ɣer temdint n Lquds, lɣaci ɣilen imiren kan ara d-tas tgeldit n Sidi Ṛebbi.
11But as they were listening to these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was about to be immediately manifested.
12Yenna yasen : Yiwen wergaz imawlan-is muceɛen, ițeddu ad iṛuḥ ɣer yiwet n tmurt ibeɛden iwakken a t-sbedden d agellid ɣef tmurt-is , imiren a d-yuɣal.
12He said therefore, A certain high-born man went to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and return.
13Qbel ad iṛuḥ, yessawel i ɛecṛa seg iqeddacen-is ; yefka tawizeț i mkul yiwen deg-sen, yenna-yasen : « xedmet yis-sent tjaṛa alamma uɣaleɣ-ed ».
13And having called his own ten bondmen, he gave to them ten minas, and said to them, Trade while I am coming.
14Arraw n tmurt-is i t-ikeṛhen, ceggɛen deffir-es kra n yemdanen ara yinin : « ur nebɣi ara ad yili wergaz agi d agellid fell-aneɣ. »
14But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not that this [man] should reign over us.
15Mi t-sbedden d agellid, yuɣal ed ɣer tmurt-is ; yessawel i iqeddacen nni iwumi yefka tiwiztin iwakken ad isteqsi mkul yiwen deg-sen d acu i d-yerbeḥ yis-sent.
15And it came to pass on his arrival back again, having received the kingdom, that he desired these bondmen to whom he gave the money to be called to him, in order that he might know what every one had gained by trading.
16Amezwaru yusa-d, yenna : A Sidi, s twizeț-nni i yi-d-tefkiḍ rebḥeɣ-ed ɛecṛa nniḍen.
16And the first came up, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has produced ten minas.
17Agellid yenna-yas : D ayen yelhan ay aqeddac lɛali, imi deg-ek laman ɣef lḥaǧa tamecṭuḥt, a k-fkeɣ aț-țḥekmeḍ ɣef ɛecṛa n tudrin.
17And he said to him, Well [done], thou good bondman; because thou hast been faithful in that which is least, be thou in authority over ten cities.
18Aqeddac wis sin yusa-d yenna : A Sidi, rebḥeɣ-ed xemsa n twiztin s twizeț i yi-d-tefkiḍ.
18And the second came, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has made five minas.
19Agellid yenna-yas : Ula d kečč a k-sbeddeɣ d lḥakem ɣef xemsa tudrin.
19And he said also to this one, And *thou*, be over five cities.
20Yusa-d uqeddac wis tlata yenna : A Sidi, ațah twizeț-inek ! Freɣ-ț deg yiwen uceṭṭiḍ ;
20And another came, saying, [My] Lord, lo, [there is] thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel.
21uggadeɣ-k axaṭer tweɛṛeḍ, tețțeddmeḍ ayen ur tesriseḍ, tmeggreḍ ayen ur tezriɛeḍ.
21For I feared thee because thou art a harsh man: thou takest up what thou hast not laid down, and thou reapest what thou hast not sowed.
22Agellid yerra-yas : ?ef yimeslayen-ik ara k-ḥasbeɣ ay aqeddac amcum ! Teẓriḍ weɛṛeɣ, țeddmeɣ ayen ur sriseɣ, meggreɣ ayen ur zriɛeɣ ;
22He says to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked bondman: thou knewest that *I* am a harsh man, taking up what I have not laid down and reaping what I have not sowed.
23acuɣeṛ ihi ur tefkiḍ ara idrimen-iw i wid ara ten-isxedmen, iwakken m'ara d-uɣaleɣ a ten-id jebdeɣ s lfayda ?
23And why didst thou not give my money to [the] bank; and *I* should have received it, at my coming, with interest?
24Dɣa yenna i widak yellan dinna : Kkset-as tawizeț-nni, rnut-as-ț i win yesɛan ɛecṛa.
24And he said to those that stood by, Take from him the mina and give [it] to him who has the ten minas.
25Nnan-as : A Sidi, yesɛa yakan ɛecṛa !
25And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas.
26Yerra-yasen : Nniɣ-awen : win yesɛan a s nernu, ma d win ur nesɛi ara a s nekkes ula d ayen i gɣil yesɛa-t.
26For I say unto you, that to every one that has shall be given; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.
27Ma d iɛdawen-nni-inu ur neqbil ara ad iliɣ d agellid fell-asen, awit-țen-id ɣer dagi tezlum-ten zdat-i.
27Moreover those mine enemies, who would not [have] me to reign over them, bring them here and slay [them] before me.
28Mi gekfa ameslay, Sidna Ɛisa yezwar ɣer zdat lɣaci iwakken ad yali ɣer temdint n Lquds.
28And having said these things, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29Mi qṛib ad yaweḍ ɣer tuddar n Bitfaji akk-d Bitani, ɣer tama n yiwen yiɣil ițțusemman « Iɣil Uzemmur, » Sidna Ɛisa iceggeɛ sin seg inelmaden-is,
29And it came to pass as he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the mountain called [the mount] of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30yenna-yasen : Ṛuḥet ɣer taddart ihin i ɣ-d iqublen, aț-țafem ajḥiḥ yeqqen, leɛmeṛ ur yerkib fell-as yiwen ; brut-as-ed, tawim-t-id.
30saying, Go into the village over against [you], in which ye will find, on entering it, a colt tied up, on which no [child] of man ever sat at any time: loose it and lead it [here].
31Ma yella win i wen-d yennan : « acuɣeṛ i s-d-tebram ? » Init-as : yeḥwaǧ-it Ssid-nneɣ.
31And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose [it]? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord has need of it.
32Imceggɛen-nni ṛuḥen, ufan kullec akken i sen-d-yenna Sidna Ɛisa.
32And they that were sent, having gone their way, found as he had said to them.
33Mi s-d-bran i wejḥiḥ-nni, bab-is yenna-yasen : I wacu i s-d-tebram ?
33And as they were loosing the colt, its masters said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
34Rran-as : Yeḥwaǧ-it Ssid-nneɣ.
34And they said, Because the Lord has need of it.
35Wwin-d ajḥiḥ-nni, ssersen fell-as ibeṛnyas-nsen, srekben Sidna Ɛisa.
35And they led it to Jesus; and having cast their own garments on the colt, they put Jesus on [it].
36Akken i gteddu, lɣaci tessun-as-d ibeṛnyas-nsen deg webrid.
36And as he went, they strewed their clothes in the way.
37Mi qṛib ad awḍen ɣer temdint n Lquds, di tkessart-nni n yiɣil n uzemmur, inelmaden-is d lɣaci meṛṛa ččuṛen d lfeṛḥ, țḥemmiden Sidi Ṛebbi s ṣṣut eɛlayen ɣef lbeṛhanat akk i walan.
37And as he drew near, already at the descent of the mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began, rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice for all the works of power which they had seen,
38Qqaṛen : Yețțubarek ugellid i d-yusan s yisem n Sidi Ṛebbi ! Lehna deg igenwan, tamanegt i Sidi Ṛebbi deg imukan ɛlayen.
38saying, Blessed the King that comes in the name of [the] Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39Kra ifariziyen di tlemmast lɣaci nnan i Sidna Ɛisa : A Sidi, ini-yasen i inelmaden-ik ad ssusmen.
39And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
40Yenna-yasen : A wen-iniɣ : ma ssusmen nutni, d idɣaɣen ara d-iɛeggḍen.
40And he answering said to them, I say unto you, If these shall be silent, the stones will cry out.
41Mi qṛib ad yaweḍ ɣer temdint n Lquds, akken i ț-iwala, Sidna Ɛisa yețru fell-as,
41And as he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it,
42yenna : A tamdint n Lquds ! Lemmer teẓriḍ ass-agi ayen ara m-d-ifken lehna ! Lameɛna tura ayagi yeffer ɣef wallen-im !
42saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, even at least in this thy day, the things that are for thy peace: but now they are hid from thine eyes;
43A d-asen wussan anda ara d-zeḍmen fell-am yeɛdawen-im, a d-kecmen a m-d-zzin si mkul tama, a kem-ḥeṛsen ;
43for days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall make a palisaded mound about thee, and shall close thee around, and keep thee in on every side,
44a kem-snegren kemm d warraw-im, ur țțaǧan deg-m azṛu ɣef wayeḍ ; axaṭer ur teɛqileḍ ara usan i deg i d-yusa leslak n Sidi Ṛebbi ɣuṛ-em.
44and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children in thee; and shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou knewest not the season of thy visitation.
45Sidna Ɛisa yekcem ɣer wefrag n lǧameɛ iqedsen, yebda ițqecciɛ wid yeznuzun,
45And entering into the temple, he began to cast out those that sold and bought in it,
46yeqqaṛ-asen : Yura di tira iqedsen : Axxam-iw ad yili d axxam n tẓallit, kunwi terram-t d axxam n imakaren.
46saying to them, It is written, My house is a house of prayer, but *ye* have made it a den of robbers.
47Sidna Ɛisa yesselmad mkul ass di lǧameɛ iqedsen. Lmuqedmin imeqqranen, lɛulama d imeqqranen n wegdud țnadin a t-nɣen,
47And he was teaching day by day in the temple: and the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48lameɛna ur s-ufin ara abrid axaṭer lɣaci meṛṛa smeḥsisen-as, yerna tɛeǧǧben deg yimeslayen-is.
48and did not find what they could do, for all the people hung on him to hear.
