¹អ្នកណាជឿថាព្រះយេស៊ូពិតជាព្រះគ្រិស្ដ អ្នកនោះកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយអ្នកណាស្រឡាញ់ព្រះបិតា អ្នកនោះក៏ស្រឡាញ់អ្នកដែលកើតមកពីព្រះអង្គដែរ។

¹Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.

²ដោយយើងស្រឡាញ់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ និង ប្រតិបត្ដិតាមបទបញ្ជាទាំងប៉ុន្មាន យើងនឹងដឹងថា យើងពិតជាស្រឡាញ់បុត្ររបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់។

²By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.

³យើងមានសេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់របស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ក្នុងខ្លួនមែន លុះត្រាតែយើងកាន់តាមបទបញ្ជាទាំងប៉ុន្មាន។ បទបញ្ជារបស់ព្រះអង្គមិនតឹងតែងទេ

³For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

⁴ព្រោះអស់អ្នកដែលកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់សុទ្ធតែឈ្នះលោកីយ៍នេះគឺជំនឿរបស់យើងហ្នឹងហើយ ដែលបានឈ្នះលោកីយ៍។

⁴For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.

⁵តើអ្នកណាអាចឈ្នះលោកីយ៍បាន? គឺអ្នកដែលជឿថា ព្រះយេស៊ូពិតជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់។

⁵Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁶ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដនេះហើយ ដែលបានយាងមកក្នុងលោកនេះ ដោយទឹក និង លោហិត មិនត្រឹមតែដោយទឹកប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ គឺដោយទឹក និង លោហិតផង។ ព្រះវិញ្ញាណបានផ្ដល់សក្ខីភាពថា សេចក្ដីនេះពិតជាត្រឹមត្រូវមែន ដ្បិតព្រះវិញ្ញាណជាសេចក្ដីពិត។

⁶This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

⁷មានបន្ទាល់បីគឺ

⁷For there are three who testify Only a few recent manuscripts add “in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that testify on earth” :

⁸ព្រះវិញ្ញាណទឹក និង លោហិត ហើយបន្ទាល់ទាំងបីនេះ រួមគ្នាផ្ដល់សក្ខីភាពតែមួយ។

⁸the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.

⁹ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានផ្ដល់សក្ខីភាពអំពីព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ។ យើងតែងតែទទួលស្គាល់សក្ខីភាពរបស់មនុស្ស រីឯសក្ខីភាពរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់រឹងរឹតតែធំជាងនោះទៅទៀត។

⁹If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is God’s testimony which he has testified concerning his Son.

¹⁰អ្នកណាជឿលើព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ អ្នកនោះមានសក្ខីភាពរបស់ព្រះអង្គនៅក្នុងខ្លួន អ្នកណាមិនជឿព្រះជាម្ចាស់ទេ អ្នកនោះចាត់ទុកថា ព្រះអង្គកុហកទៅវិញ ព្រោះគេមិនជឿលើសក្ខីភាពដែលព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានប្រទានមក ស្ដីអំពីព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ។

¹⁰He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

¹¹រីឯសក្ខីភាពនោះមានដូចតទៅនេះ គឺព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានប្រទានជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ចមកយើង ហើយជីវិតនេះស្ថិតនៅក្នុងព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ។

¹¹The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

¹²អ្នកណាមានព្រះបុត្រា អ្នកនោះក៏មានជីវិតដែរ ហើយអ្នកណាគ្មានព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ទេ អ្នកនោះគ្មានជីវិតនេះឡើយ។

¹²He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.

¹³ខ្ញុំសរសេរសេចក្ដីនេះមកអ្នករាល់គ្នា ដើម្បីអោយអ្នករាល់គ្នាដឹងថា អ្នករាល់គ្នាដែលជឿលើព្រះនាមព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ មានជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ចហើយ។

¹³These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

¹⁴ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាយើងមានចិត្ដរឹងប៉ឹងនៅចំពោះព្រះភ័ក្ដ្រព្រះអង្គ គឺថា ប្រសិនបើយើងទូលសូមអ្វី ស្របតាមព្រះហឫទ័យរបស់ព្រះអង្គ នោះទ្រង់នឹងព្រះសណ្ដាប់យើងជាមិនខាន។

¹⁴This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

¹⁵បើយើងដឹងថា ព្រះអង្គទ្រង់ព្រះសណ្ដាប់យើង ទោះបីយើងទូលសូមអ្វីពីព្រះអង្គក៏ដោយ យើងដឹងថា យើងបានទទួលអ្វីៗដែលយើងទូលសូមនោះរួចហើយ។

¹⁵And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

¹⁶ប្រសិនបើអ្នកណាម្នាក់ ឃើញបងប្អូនប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាបដែលមិនបណ្ដាលអោយស្លាប់ ត្រូវតែទូលអង្វរព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយព្រះអង្គនឹងប្រទានជីវិតអោយបងប្អូននោះ។ ខ្ញុំនិយាយតែពីអំពើបាបដែលមិនបណ្ដាលអោយស្លាប់ប៉ុណ្ណោះ។ មានអំពើបាបម៉្យាងដែលបណ្ដាលអោយស្លាប់ ចំពោះអំពើបាបនោះ ខ្ញុំមិនសុំអោយទូលអង្វរទេ។

¹⁶If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.

¹⁷អំពើទុច្ចរិតទាំងប៉ុន្មាន សុទ្ធតែជាអំពើបាបទាំងអស់ប៉ុន្ដែ មានអំពើបាបខ្លះមិនបណ្ដាលអោយស្លាប់ឡើយ។

¹⁷All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

¹⁸យើងដឹងហើយថា អ្នកកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ មិនប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាបឡើយ ដ្បិតព្រះបុត្រាដែលកើតពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់មក ទ្រង់ការពារអ្នកនោះ ហើយមារ កំណាចពុំអាចយាយីគេបានឡើយ។

¹⁸We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.

¹⁹យើងដឹងថា យើងកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ រីឯមនុស្សលោកទាំងមូលស្ថិតនៅក្រោមអំណាចរបស់មារកំណាច។

¹⁹We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

²⁰យើងក៏ដឹងដែរថា ព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានយាងមក ទ្រង់ប្រទានប្រាជ្ញាអោយយើងស្គាល់ព្រះដ៏ពិតប្រាកដ ហើយយើងក៏ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងព្រះដ៏ពិតប្រាកដ ដោយរួមក្នុងអង្គព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ គឺព្រះអង្គហើយ ដែលជាព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដ៏ពិតប្រាកដ ព្រះអង្គជាជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ច។

²⁰We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

²¹កូនចៅអើយ ចូរចៀសអោយផុតពីការគោរពព្រះក្លែងក្លាយ។

²¹Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
