¹Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.

²He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.

³When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.

⁴ក្រោយពីបានចាប់លោកពេត្រុសយកទៅឃុំឃាំងរួចហើយ ស្ដេចក៏បញ្ជាអោយទាហានបួនក្រុមយាមលោក ក្នុងក្រុមនីមួយៗមានគ្នាបួននាក់។ ព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដមានបំណងនឹងកាត់ទោសលោកនៅមុខប្រជាជន ក្រោយបុណ្យចម្លង ។

⁴When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.

⁵Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.

⁶នៅយប់មុនពេលដែលព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដ យកលោកពេត្រុសទៅកាត់ទោស លោកសំរាន្ដទាំងជាប់ច្រវាក់ពីរខ្សែផង មានទាហានពីរនាក់នៅអមសងខាង ហើយក៏មានទាហានយាមនៅមាត់ទ្វារពន្ធនាគារដែរ។

⁶The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.

⁷ពេលនោះ ទេវតា របស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់មកដល់ ហើយមានពន្លឺភ្លឺក្នុងទីឃុំឃាំង។ ទេវតាដាស់លោកពេត្រុសដោយកេះលោកពីចំហៀង ទាំងពោលថា៖ «សូមក្រោកឡើងជាប្រញាប់!»។ ច្រវាក់ក៏របូតធ្លាក់ពីដៃលោក។

⁷And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands.

⁸ទេវតាពោលមកកាន់លោកថា៖ «សូមក្រវាត់ចង្កេះ ហើយពាក់ស្បែកជើងទៅ!» លោកក៏ធ្វើតាម។ ទេវតាពោលមកលោកទៀតថា៖ «សូមពាក់អាវក្រៅ ហើយអញ្ជើញមកតាមខ្ញុំ»។

⁸The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”

⁹លោកពេត្រុសក៏ចេញពីទីឃុំឃាំងដើរតាមក្រោយទេវតាទៅ។ លោកពុំនឹកស្មានថាការដែលទេវតាកំពុងធ្វើនេះ ជាការពិតទេ លោកស្មានតែលោកយល់សប្ដិ។

⁹And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.

¹⁰ទេវតា និង លោកពេត្រុសបានឆ្លងផុតកន្លែងយាមទីមួយ និង កន្លែងយាមទីពីរ ហើយមកដល់ទ្វារដែកដែលបែរទៅរកទីក្រុង ទ្វារនោះរបើកនៅមុខអ្នកទាំងពីរ។ អ្នកទាំងពីរដើរទៅតាមដងផ្លូវមួយហើយរំពេចនោះ ស្រាប់តែទេវតាចេញបាត់ពីលោកពេត្រុសទៅ។

¹⁰When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

¹¹លោកពេត្រុសបានដឹងខ្លួន ក៏ពោលថា៖ «ឥឡូវនេះ ខ្ញុំដឹងថាហេតុការណ៍នេះជាការពិតមែន ព្រះអម្ចាស់បានចាត់ទេវតារបស់ព្រះអង្គមកដោះលែងខ្ញុំ អោយរួចពីកណ្ដាប់ដៃរបស់ស្ដេចហេរ៉ូដ និង រួចពីបំណងដែលប្រជាជនយូដាបំរុងធ្វើមកលើរូបខ្ញុំ»។

¹¹When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

¹²យល់ឃើញដូច្នោះហើយ លោកក៏ទៅផ្ទះនាងម៉ារីជាម្ដាយយ៉ូហាន ហៅម៉ាកុស ជាកន្លែងមានបងប្អូនជាច្រើនកំពុងជួបជុំគ្នាអធិស្ឋាន។

¹²Thinking about that, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

¹³នៅពេលលោកគោះទ្វារ មានស្ដ្រីបំរើម្នាក់ ឈ្មោះនាងរ៉ូដាចេញមកសួរ

¹³When Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a maid named Rhoda came to answer.

¹⁴នាងស្គាល់ថាជាសំឡេងរបស់លោកពេត្រុស។ ដោយនាងត្រេកអរខ្លាំងពេក នាងពុំបានបើកទ្វារអោយទេនាងបែរជារត់ចូលទៅជូនដំណឹងប្រាប់ពួកបងប្អូនថា៖ «លោកពេត្រុសមកដល់ហើយ លោកឈរនៅមាត់ទ្វារ»។

¹⁴When she recognized Peter’s voice, she didn’t open the gate for joy, but ran in, and reported that Peter was standing in front of the gate.

¹⁵គេនាំគ្នានិយាយមកកាន់នាងថា៖ «នាងឆ្កួតហើយ!» ប៉ុន្ដែ នាងបានប្រកែកវិញថា៖ «លោកពិតជាមកដល់មែន»។

¹⁵They said to her, “You are crazy!” But she insisted that it was so. They said, “It is his angel.”

¹⁶គេពោលថា៖ «ប្រហែលជាទេវតា របស់លោកទេដឹង!»។ លោកពេត្រុសនៅតែគោះទ្វារដដែល គេក៏ចេញទៅបើកទ្វារអោយ ហើយពេលឃើញលោក គេងឿងឆ្ងល់យ៉ាងខ្លាំង។

¹⁶But Peter continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw him, and were amazed.

¹⁷លោកពេត្រុសធ្វើសញ្ញាអោយគេនៅស្ងៀម រួចរៀបរាប់អំពីរបៀបដែលព្រះអម្ចាស់បានជួយលោក អោយចេញរួចពីទីឃុំឃាំង។ លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ទៅគេថា៖ «សូមយកដំណឹងនេះទៅជំរាបលោកយ៉ាកុប និង ពួកបងប្អូនផង»។ បន្ទាប់មក លោកបានចេញពីទីនោះធ្វើដំណើរឆ្ពោះទៅកន្លែងមួយផ្សេងទៀត។

¹⁷But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said, “Tell these things to James, and to the brothers.” Then he departed, and went to another place.

¹⁸លុះភ្លឺឡើង ពួកទាហាននាំគ្នាជ្រួលច្របល់យ៉ាងខ្លាំង ព្រោះមិនដឹងជាលោកពេត្រុសទៅណាបាត់។

¹⁸Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.

¹⁹ព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដបញ្ជាអោយគេរកលោក តែរកមិនឃើញសោះ ស្ដេចក៏អោយគេកាត់ទោសពួក អ្នកយាមរួចអោយគេនាំយកទៅសម្លាប់។ បន្ទាប់មក ស្ដេចយាងចុះពីស្រុកយូដាទៅប្រថាប់នៅក្រុងសេសារា។

¹⁹When Herod had sought for him, and didn’t find him, he examined the guards, and commanded that they should be put to death. He went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

²⁰ព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដមានទំនាស់ជាមួយអ្នកក្រុងទីរ៉ុស និង អ្នកក្រុងស៊ីដូន។ អ្នកទាំងនោះបានរួមចិត្ដគំនិតគ្នាចូលទៅគាល់ស្ដេច។ គេបានបញ្ចុះបញ្ចូលលោកបា្លសតុស ជាមហាតលិកអោយមកខាងគេ ហើយទូលសូមសន្ដិភាពពីស្ដេច ដ្បិតស្រុករបស់គេទទួលស្បៀងអាហារពីនគរព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដ។

²⁰Now Herod was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon. They came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus, the king’s personal aide, their friend, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food.

²¹លុះដល់ថ្ងៃកំណត់ ព្រះបាទហេរ៉ូដទ្រង់គ្រឿងគង់លើបល្ល័ង្ក ហើយមានព្រះរាជឱង្ការអោយប្រជាជនស្ដាប់។

²¹On an appointed day, Herod dressed himself in royal clothing, sat on the throne, and gave a speech to them.

²²ប្រជាជននាំគ្នាស្រែកឡើងថា៖ «នេះជាព្រះសូរសៀងរបស់ព្រះ មិនមែនសំឡេងរបស់មនុស្សទេ!»។

²²The people shouted, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!”

²³រំពេចនោះ ស្រាប់តែមានទេវតារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់មកប្រហារស្ដេចហេរ៉ូដ ព្រោះទ្រង់ពុំបានថ្វាយ សិរីរុងរឿងទៅព្រះជាម្ចាស់។ ស្ដេចត្រូវដង្កូវចោះ ហើយក៏ផុតដង្ហើមទៅ។

²³Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

²⁴មនុស្សម្នាបានឮព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយចំនួនអ្នកជឿបានកើនឡើងជាលំដាប់។

²⁴But the word of God grew and multiplied.

²⁵រីឯលោកបារណាបាស និង លោកសូល ក្រោយពីបានបំពេញកិច្ចការរបស់ខ្លួនចប់សព្វគ្រប់ហើយ លោកវិលត្រឡប់ទៅក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹមវិញ ដោយយកលោកយ៉ូហានហៅម៉ាកុស ទៅជាមួយផង។

²⁵Barnabas and Saul returned to TR reads “from” instead of “to” Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their service, also taking with them John whose surname was Mark.
